Sophia disagreed with his statement and impatiently remarked, “She will get married in the future!”
By implication, Yancey Corporation would likely undergo a name change.
Jonathan urged, “Mom, for now, let’s not dwell on these matters too much. If Christopher takes control
of Yancey Corporation, it will undoubtedly thrive.”

Sophia found it extremely ironic, saying, “We’ve become what we are today, all thanks to Christopher,

Sophia was perplexed. “Isn’t that a bit excessive? I mean, you’re the CEO of Yancey Corporation, and
you already have a long–term contract with the company.”
She continued, “Yancey Corporation doesn’t just belong to the Yancey family. It also encompasses the
shareholders. Even the director holds an official appointment letter. All other
employees have their own employment contracts. It’s essential for their salaries to be processed.”
Jonathan cleared his throat and looked embarrassed.
“The CEO contract will be terminated and replaced with a regular employment contract,” he confessed.
Sophia frowned. “What does that mean? Are they asking you to start over from the ground level? Isn’t
that underutilizing your skills?”
As soon as she finished speaking, she quickly realized Cecilia’s intent and commented, “She’s
intentionally trying to humiliate you!”
Jonathan nodded and admitted, “I did a lot of foolish things for Juliana in the past, and Ceci has every
right to be angry. That’s why I agreed to it. It’s only for a year, and it will pass quickly.”
At that moment, he had no idea how challenging the next year would be.

hospital.
Given that more than two hours had elapsed, there should have been some developments.
Christopher handed the peeled apple to Cecilia.
