Chapter 139
CHAPTER
037
TWO WEEKS LATER
I had been locked up in the castle for weeks now. I was using the gym at home to train and
someone else had taken over my training classes with the kids. It was driving me crazy being stuck in the castle. But I knew that it was for my own good and the good of everyone else in the territory.
I was finally starting to gain control of my emotions and my powers.
Maisie did say that it wasn't my fault. My powers are only coming out now and I'm only 16. Which is bad enough with having all the usual teenage emotions at this age.
Noah was staying close by which didn't surprise me at all. He was always near me these days. He wouldn't go too far at all.
Even when I was practicing with Maisie, he would be outside the room.
I guess he was afraid that there would be an attack on me even in there.
It was either that or the mate bond was getting really strong for him and he couldn't really stay
away from me.
I didn't know the answer, but whatever it was, I didn't really mind. We were getting closer, but
that didn't mean that I completely trusted him..
It would take a lot more than that for me to trust him.
When I went upstairs to get ready for bed one night I heard something strange across the hall
from my bedroom.
It was in my parents' bedroom. It sounded like a humming or something. So I opened the door and it was clean and the bed was made perfectly and I started looking around for the noise.
I walked to the wardrobe and it was definitely getting louder, so I started looking through the drawers trying to find it.
Suddenly I saw something shining from the back of the wardrobe, so I opened the hidden shelf and there was a golden pendant pulsating inside of it.
I picked it up and held it in front of my face as I looked at it.
"The dragonite." I whispered to myself.
I don't know what made me do it, but I hung it around my neck and immediately I felt a sudden
burst of power rush through my body.

My whole body stiffened and I grabbed onto the shelves that were beside me as I started
breathing harder as the power started coursing through me.
Suddenly I felt someone's hands on my arms standing behind me.
When I finally got my footing together again I turned around and Maisie was standing there.
She looked confused at first, but then she looked down and saw the dragonite.
She looked back up at me and smiled.
"It was calling to you, wasn't it?" She asked.
"What?" I asked.
"You could hear it. It was calling to you."
"But this is my mothers. It called to her."
"And now it's yours." Maisie said.
"It's not meant to be mine. It's meant to be passed down to the next male heir." I said, trying to
take it off but Maisie stopped me.
"Emma. Stop. It was meant to go to your mother's son. But she doesn't have a son."
"So, I was meant to be a boy?" I asked, confused.
"Your mother never told you?"
"The baby before me. She lost it."
"It was a miscarriage halfway through the pregnancy. She was sure that it was a boy." Maisie said.
"I never knew." I said.
"Come on. Let's go." She said, taking me out of my parents' room.
I went to my room where I had a shower and I got dressed for bed.
I walked downstairs to get a snack out of the kitchen when I saw Rory and her mother Camila
in there talking.
"You two know the f*****g rules." I yelled.
"We were just discussing what floors we were going to take tomorrow." Camila said.
"It's the same every day. You don't need to be talking about anything." I yelled.
Suddenly Noah was standing right behind me and once they saw him they stopped arguing

with me.

Camila was about to leave the room when she stopped suddenly and I saw her staring at my chest with wide eyes.
I looked down at the pendant and she wouldn't stop staring at it.
"Is there a problem?" Noah asked.
"You've got the dragonite. That doesn't belong to you." Camila said.
"Nova doesn't think so. She left it here because she knew that Emma would be getting the calling eventually." Noah said. Camila narrowed her eyes at me and huffed before she walked out of the room.
"How do you know all of that?" I asked.
"Because everyone knows the story of the dragonite. I was just assuming that your mother left it here for you."
"I tried to call her but she didn't answer." I said.
"They're pretty busy right now." Noah said.
"I know." I said.
I made a snack and I got one for Noah as well and we sat at the kitchen island eating it.
It wasn't formal enough to go to the dining room for.Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
"I see your training with Maisie is going really well." Noah said.
"Yeah. Believe it or not, I'm actually starting to enjoy it. As much as I hate being stuck inside
all day, it's been fun." I said.
"Yeah. I can tell that you're starting to like it. What about the meditation at the beginning of every day?"
"I'm getting to like that as well. Maisie said that eventually I won't have to meditate. It's just a good way to balance my emotions at the moment. To separate them and not use anger to bring my powers out." I explained. "Well, it's working. You're looking pretty good in there."
"Thanks. Anyway, when are you going to tell me about yourself?" I asked.
"What do you want to know?" He asked.
"Anything. You never talk about your personal life. What about your family?" I asked.

+10 Point:
"Well, my personal life isn't that interesting. My parents live on the other side of the country and I have 7 brothers and sisters. I'm the only one that wanted to be a high level warrior so I went to the camp to train to protect the royal family." He explained.
"Wow. Do you miss them?"
"Not really? My brothers and sisters are a bunch of...assholes." He said, trying to find the right word to describe them and I started laughing.
"Well, I grew up with no siblings and it got a little lonely sometimes."
"I know. There's always a different story when you talk to someone that grew up completely
different." He said. And I nodded my head.
Suddenly we heard something bashing on the front door of the castle and we got up and went
to the entrance of the castle.
Noah warned me to stay back but I made sure I could see what the hell was going on.
When he opened the door Lucas burst in.
He was still in his human form but his eyes were black and his canines were extended.
He was looking around like he was crazed and as soon as he saw me standing there, he started approaching me until Noah grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him back and threw him against the wall. Lucas slashed Noah across the stomach with his claws but Noah managed to grab Lucas and
throw him out of the door.
Noah went out there as well, but I stopped at the door as I watched them fighting.
I was trying to make sense of what had gotten into Lucas.
He sunk his teeth into Noah's arm and Noah kneed him in the stomach and kicked him in the
face.
His claws started extending out from his fingernails and he dug them straight into Lucas' chest and he lifted Lucas off the ground with his claws in Lucas' chest and slammed him down on the ground.
He then stood up straight and kicked Lucas in the face, knocking him out.
"What the f**k is all this about?" I asked from the doorway.
"The full moon." Noah said. So I looked up at the sky and the moon was definitely full. But I
had never seen a wolf go so crazy before on a full moon.
