“Come in, Ethlyn!! Why’re you standing there?” Caroline said when Calvin ignored her presence.
“No, it’s okay. You guys continue. I just came to check on Rose and was about to leave because I’m feeling sleepy.” Ethlyn said and yawned, leaving there quickly, not giving Caroline one more chance to stop her. She didn’t want to become third wheels between siblings.
‘Fuck!! I forgot to tell Alpha Calvin that Aunt Sophia told me to sleep in his room because of this running thing.’ She thought in her mind.

“Make her feel comfortable, Calvin. I saw the reluctance in her eyes around us.” Caroline spoke. “It’s your job to make her feel at home between us. Or if you want, I can ask Arti to give you some tips.” She added with a wink.”
“I don’t want to make anything official among us, Caro. Not when I figured out the whole truth.” Calvin said. “And that’s the reason I haven’t added to the pack yet.”
“Okay!! Okay!! That’s your decision. I won’t try to change that decision of yours. But Calvin… what is stopping you from trusting her?” She questioned.
“I don’t know. Maybe because I don’t know her properly and also because I want the best for Rose, that includes that the best mother for her, and Ethlyn has no qualities of any mother in her. Our mom used to handle all of us just like this.” he said, snapping his finger.
“But Ethlyn doesn’t know a single thing. Hell, she is so young to become a mother. She can barely handle herself. I guess she can’t even handle herself. Do you know she doesn’t even know how to cook?”
“These all are excuses, Calvin. No one has experienced becoming a mother from birth. They learn it when they become a mother. And you have no right to say that. You, too, weren’t born as a perfect father either. And age is not important in all this, and you know that, right? Mom was twenty-one when she had me. And cooking? Are you serious? That’s the most stupid reason I have ever heard.” Caroline chuckled.
“What matters to become a mother is to have selfless feeling and enormous love toward the pup even before the pup’s birth. And you can’t deny the fact that Ethlyn doesn’t have that one.”
“And you said that you don’t know her properly. That’s why you don’t trust her. I learned from Artemis that you don’t have to know everything to have trust. Not when you know each other’s hearts. And we all can see that Ethlyn’s heart is clear and pure. That’s the reason she already ends up getting in trouble.”
“I mean, I saw the gap between her teeth. She paid the price of the things that her mother did. In fact, she is still paying for the price that her mother did with our Rose.”
Calvin’s jaw tightened, recalling how they had left Roselet in a box outside his pack. What if… what if instead of his warrior, hunters or rogues would have found Rose and worst would have killed her?
“Brother,” Caroline held Calvin’s hand. “Ethlyn has gone through a lot of things. If you can’t heal her, then please don’t try to hurt her more.”
“Urrghh.. Let me sleep.” Roselet whined in her sleep.
Both Caroline and Calvin smiled and silently left the room. “Good night!! Good night!!”
“By the way, you’re staying here tomorrow and the day after tomorrow?” Calvin asked.
“Tomorrow, I mean on Saturday, YES. But we will be leaving on Sunday after lunch. But make sure that you will be free OR there is no use in staying here.”
“Sure! Sure!” Calvin agreed, but in the next moment, he did realize that his work would be delayed for two days but nevermind anything for his family.
With a smile on his lips, he opened the door of his room and found Ethlyn in his clothes, lying on his bed. She quickly sat on the bed and started speaking, “Pups are in the room that you allotted to me. Since there was no room in the penthouse. Aunt Sophia asked me to sleep in this room.”
“So, you want to say that my penthouse is small?” Calvin asked in a serious tone and started opening the button of his shirt. He wasn’t surprised to see her in his room because he knew his mother would end up doing something like this. If she had wanted, then she could have Roselet in his room and Arline with Caroline and Artemis in that way, Ethlyn could have slept in Roselet’s room, but nope, she didn’t suggest this idea then and planned all this.
“No!! No!! It’s big. Big enough for all your family members, but… I think you didn’t think about the pups when you were building it. Well, how can you think about them when they weren’t not even born back then.” Ethlyn said, getting nervous after watching Calvin open his shirt. He threw it on the bed. “My…my clothes were in that room… that’s why..” She took a deep breath when he threw his pant on the bed next. He looked no less than a model or better than a model in underwear ads. She didn’t realize that she had stopped talking and started staring at him.
“Want to hold my rod?” He questioned, teasing her.
“Huh?” Ethlyn took a few seconds to realize what he had just asked. “What nonsense? You… you’re such a shameless man.” She added and turned her head to another side.
