“Ethlyn?” Ethlyn sneered at the owner of the voice and walked out of the washroom, only to get shocked when she saw Nathan in her room. How the hell did he land here? Who even let him come inside? “Thank Moon Goddess!! You’re all right.” Saying this, he came near her to hug her, but Ethlyn moved back, not even letting him touch her.

“How come you’re here?” She questioned and really hoped that Caroline wouldn’t have called him here to add spices and chilies to the drama that she had started making a few days ago. But still, Calvin wouldn’t let him enter the pack, would he?

“Alpha Calvin asked me to come here. He told me that you were asking about me all the time and also told me about your situation. So, I didn’t waste a second and came running near you.”

“He did that?” Ethlyn asked in shock. She was a hard time believing this, but then as much as she knew that Calvin didn’t want her anywhere around Nathan or vice-versa but at the same time, Nathan couldn’t be here without his approval.

‘Did he really give up on me?’ Ethlyn wondered. There was no doubt that she made him feel that she wanted Nathan desperately. ‘Or he asked Nathan to come here for her happiness? Moon Goddess, what was Alpha Calvin thinking?’

“Yes!!” Nathan nodded his head before continuing, “I’m sorry, Ethlyn….” he paused and added, “…. for everything.” Ethlyn looked into his eyes, and even though Cinder wasn’t with her at that moment, she could say that Nathan was sincere with his words.

Before she would have said something, he sniffed in the air. All of a sudden, her heartbeats rose, realizing what he was trying to smell. The fact that he was an Alpha, she knew that his ability to sense things were better than other ranked wolf, just like a Lycan had an ability of all the things better than any alpha.

“Your scent… it is changing slowly. A very faint one.” Nathan pointed out, and a big smile appeared on his face when he realized that what did it mean? Soon, her change in scent would start getting stronger enough to make other wolves indicate, too, that she was pregnant.

When Nathan told her this, Ethlyn couldn’t understand how she should take this news because she wasn’t positive that Calvin wanted any pups. To be honest, she too didn’t want the same, but that too that pills or damn to Calvin’s strong sperm that didn’t die even at the effect of the pills.

“Congratulations, Ethlyn.” Nathan hugged her without notice. “I’m happy for both of us.”

Hearing this, Ethlyn quickly pushed him away, “Us? What do you mean by US here, Nathan?”

“I can see that you’re shocked with this pregnancy because you couldn’t recall how the hell you became pregnant and who could be the father of your pup because you don’t know anything of your past.” Nathan said before asking, “Well, who do you think is the father of your pup?” He asked happily, pointing his finger toward himself, while Ethlyn was taken aback after listening to his words. “Obviously me. I don’t know if Reva told you or not, but we have been together for a while now, and it’s me who got you pregnant.”

Ethlyn was so shocked to hear him that no one word came out of her mouth. She couldn’t believe to what extent Nathan could reach. Back then, when she wasn’t aware of the truth, she thought it was him who got her pregnant, but this time… this time, she knew who was the father of her pup or pups if it would happen to be twins then.

“Oh my god… I’m so happy. You’re pregnant. We’re pregnant.!!” Nathan spoke and held her arms in happiness. Ethlyn was about to knock some sense in him. That was when they heard a loud, ear-piercing growl.

‘Damn, the door was open. And Alpha Calvin had heard everything.

Calvin marched toward Nathan.

“Alpha Calvin… Alpha!!!” Ethlyn tried to explain that what he had heard wasn’t true. He raised his hand; Ethlyn closed her eyes in fear when she felt that Calvin would hit her but that never happened. Instead, his fist landed on Nathan’s face, throwing him away from Ethlyn.

“How dare you?” Calvin growled and reached near Nathan; when Ethlyn felt that Calvin had moved away from her, she opened her eyes, and she wasn’t at all surprised when Calvin punched Nathan again and again.

“Alpha, stop it!!” She screamed in horror when she felt that Calvin might kill him in anger. “Alpha, please stop it!!” She tried to save Nathan from Calvin’s anger.

“Alpha Calvin.” She cried when Nathan’s nose started bleeding. “Alpha, please leave Nathan; we both know that he is lying.” Ethlyn’s words didn’t stop Calvin from hitting Nathan.

“Calvinnn… Keanuuu!!!” She finally called him by his name this time and pushed him away from Nathan. She stood in between them to keep Nathan safe from Calvin’s anger. “STOP IT. You know that it’s not true, right?” She asked and really hoped him not to doubt her character. She had asked him once. ‘I can’t stoop that low and think about hurting someone else. You know me, right?’

On which his response was, ‘I doubt that I do.’

“I know what the truth is, but I don’t understand why the hell you are so concerned about him. Does he really matter to you so much?” Calvin asked, clenching his fist.

Ethlyn would have gotten mad at him for asking this question, but then wasn’t she the one who made him think of him in that way? She made Calvin think in that way because she never told him how she felt about him.

When Ethlyn didn’t reply anything to him, Calvin spoke again, “All this time, you had your memory. Still, you kept torturing me by calling his name in front of me.” Calvin complained. “I was a fool to think that you were taking revenge on me or trying to make me jealous because, congrats, that was working.”

“But I was wrong. I was so wrong.” Calvin said to which Ethlyn shook her head. “That was your way to say that Nathan is the one whom you wan…” Ethlyn placed her palm on her mouth, shutting his mouth in the middle.

“Shut up! Will you?” She yelled at him. No one was giving her a chance to speak. “Your intuition was right from the beginning. Yes, I was mad at you. Yes, there was nothing wrong with my memory. Yes, I was taking revenge on you. Yes, I was making you feel jealous. And I did all this because I love you, duffer.”
