The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

Though he knew that the answer would be negative but he asked him, and as expected, the result was the same as he had thought. Vampire blood was dangerous for werewolves, but it was the best medicine for humans in case of any injuries. And at that moment, if anything could stop Calvin’s mate’s injury was vampire blood.

‘Or we can mark her. In that, I can help her in healing throughout the bond.’ Keanu suggested.

‘Let’s keep that as the last chance to save her.’ Calvin said, not really approving this as a suggestion. He had already marked Ethlyn. The moment he would mark his mate, Ethlyn would feel the pain of betrayal, and hurting her was the last thing that he wanted.

He hadn’t missed the hurt expression on her face.

Calvin knew who could have vampire blood. He quickly dialed Colton’s number, but his number wasn’t available, and again and again, his call was diverted to voicemail.Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

‘Where is he?’ He muttered in tension and dropped a message at Colton’s message.

“Brother, I found our mate, and she is human. She is seriously injured. These human doctors are saying that there is nothing that is in their hands now. Can you quickly reach the pack with vampire blood? I’m taking her there.”

“Be quick; otherwise, I will have to mark her to heal her. She doesn’t have much time, so it’s an emergency. And dare you to let ignore this message because I know you’re not interested in having our mate but remember, if I will have her, then maybe your niece wouldn’t feel good watching his father with someone other than her month.”

Colton hissed when he heard this message approx twenty minutes. Calvin knew that though Colton never showed, but he loved all the kids of the family. And Roselet was his favorite one because he used to look after her in the absence of Calvin. The fact that Roselet didn’t get a chance to spend her time with her mother.

All other family members used to keep checking on her more often and helped Calvin to become the best dad that he was now.

‘Maybe this was the trap about which it was mentioned in the letter.’ Colton muttered, grabbing the vampire blood from his stock. ‘But this couldn’t be the full plan. Something big is going on.’ he kept thinking to understand the whole plan that could have been prepared for Calvin.

He thought to run to the pack instead of taking the car. He dialed Calvin’s number, “Please tell me that you didn’t reach the pack with HER.”

“I just entered inside the pack. Why? What happened?” Calvin asked, on which Colton shook his head in the disaster that had been already done. He wanted to answer Calvin’s question, but then he wasn’t sure whether his allegation would be right or not. Maybe he could be wrong. Colton trusted his brother, who trusted him blindly but not his wolf, who wasn’t a great fan of his because Colton was naturally his enemy. Just like wolves despise Vampires, in the same way, their feelings for other creatures who could be dangerous to them were no different.

“Okay, answer that question later. Are you on the way or not?”

“I’m on my way,” Colton replied. “Just do me a favor that doesn’t tell her about our little secret. Don’t tell her that we are two.”

“But…”

“Without any question.” Colton cut him in between. “I didn’t ask you why haven’t you shared with Roselet’s mother that we are two, not one. So, do the same in this case.” Calvin didn’t argue with him on this, but he understood that something was definitely cooking in his mind. He hid that information from Ethlyn because he wanted to have some fun and wanted Ethlyn to find that truth on her own.

But Colton couldn’t think that way. The FUN word didn’t exist in his dictionary.

Calvin didn’t care to think about that part then because he was worried for his mate at that moment. By the time the doctor settled his mate in the pack hospital, Zordan had reached near and given him what he was waiting for.

“Here!!” Zordan gave it to the doctor.

“Moon Goddess!! Finally.” Calvin sighed in relief. At the same time, he knew that, unlike him, his brother was either a person punctual to time or before time. ‘If in case he gets late, then something is definitely wrong with him, or he is in trouble.’ he thought with a smile and stayed near his mate. He wasn’t planning to leave her side until she would finally awake.

‘Alpha, he wants to talk with you and ask you to send you to the Alpha office.’ Zordan mind-linked Calvin.

‘I’m not leaving anywhere right now.’

‘It may be important.’ Zordan added, to which Calvin looked at him for a while before speaking. “Okay. You should go now. I’m sure Reva will be waiting for you.”

“In that way, even Ethlyn will be waiting for you.” Zordan reminded him, making Calvin feel guilty. “Anyway, good night. I’m going to check on the guards on patrol and then go home. I hope you won’t need anything for now.”

“Nope,” Calvin said and mind-linked Damian to reach the hospital, alloting his night duty there. Once Damian reached the hospital, he walked toward his office, wondering what Calvin had to say to him.

“What happened?” Calvin asked, walking inside his office. “Is it about mate?” He asked in concern.

“First of all, she is just mine as per your former commitment.” Colton reminded him, widening Calvin’s eyes. “You told me that you would give a chance to Ethlyn only when I will accept my mate, and here I’m. So, it will be better if you will stop acting like a parasite around her.”

“You… really want her?”
