" Oh hey," Freya said spotting Zed. He wore a hoodie and was walking along her street when he met

her coming from her morning run.

"Freya, it's been a while." he pooled down the hood. His face looked red.

"Oh yeah, yeah it has. What's up with you? Why are you looking this unkept? Did something happen to

your business?" she bombarded him with questions.

" Calm down, nothing happened to the business, it's doing great as of fact I'm opening one out of

town," he answered.

"That's great news, so what's the matter then?" she asked as her phone rang.

" Hey love," Freya answered the call in front of Zed.

She already moved on? he pondered walking away as Freya talked on the phone.

"Sure see you in the evening then." she dropped the call.

"So--" she lifted her head up to continue with the conversation with Zed but he was long gone.

Where did he go? she shrugged walking towards the mall.

Did she move on?

I thought we had a thing going on.

How come she moved on so fast? he slammed his hands on his steering wheel.

Are you fucking kidding me?

You left her for Soraya and you expect her to wait for you to run into your arms? You must be sick. His

"Hails, how's aviation school?" Sunny asked her best friend on face time.

" It's fun and getting stressful at the same time," she answered.

" My baby, you'd be done in just two months, you've done 10 months already, by the way, how's it going

with Ansel?" she teased. Ansel was one of the guys in her class who wouldn't stop asking her out since

she entered aviation school. She wasn't giving him that attention because she thought she would work

out with Lex, but they didn't. She got closer to Ansel and became the best of friends. She had fallen

head over heels in love with him and doesn't know how to break the news to him.

"I still haven't told him," she said to her friend.

"Hails! what if he gets fed up and gets another girl? Then you've got your heartbroken for the second

time." Sunny scolded.

" It's not that easy Sunny," she sighed.

"What's not easy? hey, Sunny?" Ansel entered the room and sat beside her.

" She telling you she loves ya." sunny blurted out after an awkward silence.

"Omg Sunny!" Hailey exclaimed.

" Umm, I gotta go, bye Hails I love you." she dropped the call.

"Hun is that true?" Ansel asked her waiting for her reply.

Let it out,

" Y-yes Ansel. it's true. I have fallen deeply in love with you." she confessed.

"Too late Hailey, I've found someone else. I thought you didn't want me so I moved on," he answered.

Her heart shattered into a million pieces as she heard that.

I guess I'm not cut out for love...

" Hun? hunny bunny? Hailey!" he called breaking her out of her thoughts.

" Huh? Umm..." she looked at him.

"I was asking if that would not disrupt our friendship?" he repeated.

" Ansel... I don't want to come between you and her or be the reason you'd have to choose between

us. We can hang out, but not as before since you have a girl now." she slowly added trying not to cry.

" Oh, I'd see you around then." she nodded as tears streamed down her eyes.

"Hailey, please." he tried consoling her.

"Ansel...Im fine." she tried putting on a straight face as he walked out. Immediately he did she face-

timed Sunny.

" Hey lo---

"What happened Hailey?" she asked as she saw her friend shed tears.

" He doesn't want me anymore Sunny, he's got a girlfriend already, and it's my fault I should have told

him earlier but I was just scared." she poured out her heart to her friend. Ansel stood behind her door

and listened to what she said. It broke him to hear her shed tears over him.

Why couldn't I wait just a few days more?

I waited long enough for this and now it's here, I have someone else.

Urgh?! he sighed walking away.

" I know baby, calm down....deep breaths. You will meet someone just for you. It's not the end of the

world." Sunny added.

" Nope, naaah....im done with love and relationships. I am tired of having my heart broken over and

over again," she replied.

" Aww, don't say that.... never say never," Sunny told her.

" It's game over for me...by the way how's my brother, it's been a while I heard from him," Hailey asked.

Keith was working for one of the largest company's in New Jersey. One of the competitors of his

parent's company. At first, they were sceptical about hiring him but when they did, they were glad they

"Boss are you okay?" Soraya's PA asked as she entered her office.

" What's on our agenda today?" she ignored the question.

" We've got a meeting with the board of directors in 20 minutes, and another lunch meeting at 2:00 pm

and then your spa appointment at 4 p.m. and that's all for the day," she added.

" Has the conference room been prepped for the meeting?" Soraya inquired.

"Yes, it has," the PA answered.

"Okay, let's get going then." both of them walked out of her office to the conference room.

Soraya dialled her brother's number after the meeting, she needed to change his mind about working

with another company while their company needed more qualified employees.

"Speak," Keith said as he answered the call.

" What a nice way to greet you elder sister," Soraya replied.

"Elder sister, you have 10 minutes....im kinda busy right now so speak," he added again.

" We need you to resign and come work with us." she cut to the chase.

"No thanks, can't do," he added.

" Why?" she couldn't help but wonder.

" To get back at you and your parents. You never saw me as your brother and they never saw me as

their son. It was only me and Hailey against the world and that's how it would be. I have only one and

her name is Hailey. Tell your parents I am not interested, you guys should stop calling me. Your 10

minutes are up. Goodbye." he dropped the call on her.
