The Proud Boss Lady.

Chapter 26: 26.

Chapter 26: 26.

It had been three weeks since Nichole had arrived in Italy and she was loving it. She felt at peace and

loved the people she was working with even though she was their boss. She loved the beautiful places

she went to with her new friend Kyle, who was the head of the accounting department. He was so

down to earth and super dreamy!

“Boss, here are the files you're requested for." Valentina, her Personal Assistant and friend said

dropping them on the table.

“Thanks, Val, anything on our schedule today?" She inquired not looking up from her table.

“Yeah, we have to leave for a business trip to South Carolina, Greenville this evening." She reminded.

“That's all?" Nichole asked.

“Yes," Valentina answered.

“Very well then, make sure the reservations for the hotel room have been done. And no need for a

ticket we would be using the private jet. It's now 3:00 pm, so go get ready and meet me at home at

6:00 pm. We would leave at 8:00 pm tonight." She instructed as Val did what she was asking to do.

Nichole's phone rang as she answered it while walking out the door.

“Hey," She said waving at her friends and her twin via face time.

“How are you doing? How's Italy?" Nicolette asked

“Its fun, and beautiful." She smiled.

“And work?" Nikki asked.

“Stressful, I have a meeting in Greenville. I'm flying out with my PA tonight. What's Jesse doing at the

back?" She asked as she saw him trying to do some dance moves.

“Um, I think he's trying to dance." Nicolette chuckled drawing his attention.

“Hi, Nichole." He grinned.

“Hi, I love your dance steps." She tried not to laugh.

“Very funny, how's Italy treating you?" He inquired as she sat in the car and the driver drove her.

“It's beautiful." She genuinely smiled.

“Good, I would talk later, got to get to my dancing. Take care." He said as he walked out.

“See you later Nichole, I love you." Her twin added dropping the call.

“Freya, staying in bed and crying your eyes out won't help the situation. You need to get a hold of

yourself. Your business needs you and we need you as well." Jess consoled her friend.

“I know but what did I do wrong? Me fighting for what I love?" She voiced out.

“You did nothing wrong, you my dearest are a strong, beautiful, caring woman. That's why the world

loves you. Go out there and do you. For Zed, just leave him be for now and think about you. He would

come back. Trust me on that one." Jess advised.

“Thanks, Jess, you're a good friend. Enough about me, how's the salon coming out? And what of you

and Miguel?" She wiggled her eyebrows.

“We are done with the renovations and would be reopening in the next two days, for Miguel and I it's

just friendship. Besides, he's not over his late wife." She answered.

“He will, once he realises what a wonderful being you are." Freya smiled at her friend as she got off the

bed. She walked into the bathroom to have a relaxing bath as Jess headed for the kitchen to prepare

breakfast for both of them.

Freya emerged from her room wearing a white off-shoulder and no hand jumpsuit. It hugged her figure

perfectly in the right places. She had curled her straight hair and her makeup had complimented her

face beautifully.

“You look stunning," Carla said from the table.

“When did you get here?" Freya raised her eyebrow at her.

“A couple of minutes ago. We have an interview with the fashion magazine company, Midnight Hour."

She told.

“And how come I'm just getting to know that?" Freya asked joining her at the table.

“I sent you a couple of messages, telling and reminding you of it." She smirked drinking from her mug.

“And what else is on our schedule today?" She inquired.

“A meeting with the board of directors." She told.

“Okay, what else?" Freya asked biting from her toast.

“A meeting with each head of the department, about the release of another collection." She read from

her tablet.

“Okay then, we've got to go. What time does the interview start?" She asked as they walked out of the

house leaving Jess behind.

“In two and a half hours, we better start moving," Carla suggested.

“In our studio or theirs?" Freya demanded as they sat in the car.

“Ours," Carla answered as she zoomed off.

“Woman problem?" A man said sitting next to Zed in the bar. Was he mad at Freya? Yes, he was. She

had no right to do what she did. But she was trying to fight for the love of her life as well. She did what

any other woman would do.

“Yeah," He answered sipping from his glass. He had ordered a sex on the beach.

“ Women tend to work on their instincts, whatever it is or was, she was trying to protect her love for

you. She was trying to fight for that love." Rick added.

“But she didn't need to be desperate about it. She didn't have to reply my message and try to delete the

evidence. What if I hadn't seen it, then that meant I would never know. Doesn't she trust me enough?"

He rubbed the nape of his neck.

“From my observation, you're torn between two women, young man. Just take your time to analyze

whom your heart truly belongs to. Don't end up hurting the woman who truly loves you. There's a

difference between begging for love and fighting for love. You may think she's begging for your love,

but actually, she's fighting for who she loves. Think on these things. And if you need anyone to talk to I

am not far." Rick dropped his card on the table and walked out of the bar.

“Welcome to my abode," Soraya added as she walked in with Noah. He looked around the mansion

and was impressed by her success. He wasn't a gold digger but naturally, he loved successful women.

Women who knew their worth.

“Hey, are you okay?" Soraya asked as she noticed him still standing by the door.

“I am fine," He added following her up the stairs. Soraya was glad she had met Noah, she thought she

wouldn't be able to forget about Zed, but slowly she began to think less of him and more of Noah. Noah Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

was a gentleman, down to earth. They hadn't taken their relationship to the next step so she didn't

know if he was good or bad in bed. But for now, she was liking what she had seen about him and

hoping it would last a lifetime.

“ I just had the feeling that the guys would ditch as soon as we entered high school," Rita added as

they sat at their favourite spot in school.

“It was bound to happen someday, they grew hotter over the summer and it's natural for them to be part

of the popular crowd. It's time to make new friends and not let our lives revolve around Jack and Cody,

if they want us to be their friends they would come around, if not, it was fun while they were around and

Amelia don't worry about your crush on Cody, you would get over it." Lauren said shocking her.

“How did you know?" She urged.

“It was obvious." Rita answered.

“As obvious as how you've been crushing on Mathew since middle school?" She asked as Rita played

with a strand of her hair.

“She's blushing!" Lauren teased.

“Hey babe." Keane, one of the most sexiest guys in the school rushed to Lauren's side pecking her on

the lips.

“Umm?" Rita and Amelia said at the same time as Lauren looked shocked.

“Come with me, we need to talk." He said to all three of them as the followed suit awkwardly.
