Chapter 15: 15
Chapter 15: 15
Soraya strutted into Zed's coffee shop amazed at how well he had done for himself.
“Ma'am, what can I get you?" The waitress asked.
“Um, can I see your boss?" She asked taking off her sunglasses.
“Sure." She said as she entered his office to call him.
Zed stopped in his tracks when he saw Soraya. She looked prettier than when he last saw her.
“I see you've done good for yourself." She chuckled.
“Yeah, I have and it's doing really well, I am about to open another one soon." He rolled his eyeballs at
her.
“By the way, what do you want here?" He fumed recalling what she had done to him.
“I er, just came around." She tried apologizing.
“What a pathetic excuse for an apology, since you just came around, I have work to do so you can see
yourself out of the office if you don't mind." He said to her as she walked towards him and sat on his lap
placing her finger on his lips.
She leaned in and planted a kiss on his lips, as much as he wanted to push her away, he had missed
her touch and her body. He carried her to the room that was connected to his office. It wasn't give but it
looked nice and well-kept.
“I missed you." He said to her.
“Then come to mama." She gestured as he locked the door and moved closer to her like a predator
ready to pounce on prey.
And that is how you lure a man. Soraya laughed in her mind. She only came to him because she
missed sex with him and nothing else. Seeing how weak and easy he was, this was going to be a
regular routine.
What have I done to myself? Zed asked himself.
Maybe she's come to realise her love for me. He thought aloud.
“Who has come to realise her love for you?" Freya walked in. She was all in smiles thinking it was her.
“Soraya." He said lifting his head up to meet Freya's eyes.
“H-how?" She asked trying to hide her hurt.
“She was here and we made love, I told you she would come back once she realises her feelings for
me." He grinned.
“After all she did to you, you still accepted her?" Freya burst out.
“Woah, take a chill pill, Freya, you're supposed to be happy for me." He said.
“Happy? Happy you say? I watched you go through pain after she kicked you out, I was there for you
all through, I tried not to let my feelings for your show because I wanted you to heal before I told you
how I felt all this while. And no, I didn't help you because I wanted you myself. I did so because you are
my friend and a good man. But, I wish you luck in your reconciliation with Soraya. Don't hesitate to call
me up if you need anything at all. I am just one call away." She smiled through her tears as she picked
her bag and stormed out.
“Freya, wait!" He called after her following her out. But it was too late, she had left.
“S-she loved me?" He asked himself as he entered his office.
Why hadn't she said anything about it?
It wouldn't have changed anything. He pondered to himself.
“Hello," Jess said sitting beside Freya at the park.
“Hi." She wiped her tears away.
“Sorry to pry, but I was wondering why--"
“A pretty, successful woman was seated alone in the park crying?" She chuckled.
“Well, yeah." She scratched her head.
“You see, I've loved this guy for a while now, but he was in love with his boss, so I did not tell him.
Along the line, his boss sent him away because she was tired of his D and his constant hitting on her. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
As a good friend, I helped him open his own coffee shop and he's doing pretty well, just today, his boss
came back and they had sex, so he thinks she loves him. I just told him how I felt...and here I am
bawling my eyes out." She finished.
“I am truly sorry, men are scum but I hope he realises he's being used and it won't be too late then."
She wiped her tears off her face.
“Thanks, I am Freya, and you?" She asked Jess.
“I am Jess." She smiled at her.
Zed's sister Jess?
Or maybe it's another Jess, there are plenty of them anyways. She thought to herself.
“It's nice to meet you, Jess." She side-hugged her.
“It's nice to meet you too, it's not always you meet a nice top fashion designer." She teased making
them laugh.
“I like you Jess, and thanks for today. There is 0.1% of nice people in the world and you're one of them.
Here's my card, we can hang out when you're less busy." She handed her a complimentary card.
“Thanks, Freya, I will give you a call. And hey, no more crying." Jess told as she got up.
“I promise, no more crying." She laughed.
“See you around Jess." Freya waved her new friend.
Such a nice girl. Freya said to herself as she walked to her car.
But don't you remember?
Don't you remember?
The reason you loved me before
Baby, please remember me once more
Gave you space so you could breathe
I kept my distance so you would be free
And hope that you'd find the missing piece
To bring you back to me
Why don't you remember?
Don't you remember?
The reason you loved me before
Baby, please remember me once more
When will I see you again?" Freya sang as she drove to her house.
She was supposed to go back to the office but decided against it. She was stressed and needed to
wind off. She needed a nice warm bath and a large tub of icecream to nurse her broken heart.
When would I be loved?
When would someone cherish me? She thought aloud as she parked in front of her
house.
