Chapter 10

Paige nearly fainted when she saw Isabella's bloody face.

"Mom! Mom! Are you ok? Answer me!" Sophia did not expect that Isabella would do this. But she understood after a moment of surprise.

Apparently, Isabella was trying to frame Paige.

Sophia came out with an evil idea when she looked at Paige, who was scared out of her wits.

Sophia picked up the coffee pot and threw it at Paige.

That coffee pot was full of freshly brewed hot coffee. Sophia was extremely malicious. She planned to disfigure Paige with brewed hot coffee

Although it was a perfect plan, she didn't expect that Paige fainted at the sight of blood.

Seeing Isabella's face covered in blood, Paige lost her footing and fell onto the sofa.

However, instead of hitting Paige in the face, the coffee pot Ashlee threw landed on the ground.

Meanwhile, Isabella was lying on the ground.

And the hot coffee splashed all over the place.

Most of the coffee spilled over Isabella, so she couldn't help screaming with the burning pain.

Paige was not spared. Her feet and wrists were also splattered with the hot coffee.

When the waiter heard the scream, they rushed over immediately. A few people helped Isabella up and immediately sent her to the hospital.

Paige was laying on the sofa with a bloodless face. The waiter helped her up as well.

The phone call from Sophia startled Liam and he rushed to the hospital immediately. By the time Liam arrived, Isabella's wounds had been taken care of and the doctor was putting her on a drip.

The doctor said Isabella was bleeding a lot and had a lot of burns.

Liam was extremely furious, "What's going on? How did you get hurt?"

Isabella's body was burnt and swollen by the hot coffee. Liam took a deep breath and asked, "Paige

"She scalded my mom with coffee!" Sophia complained.

"I went to have coffee with my mother. Paige suddenly rushed in and warned my mother to stay away from you. She also scolded my mother as a shameless mistress. My mother wanted to explain, she began to beat my mother! Not only did she hit my mother's head with something, but also scalded my mother with the hot coffee. Paige said that my mom couldn't seduce you if she was disfigured!"

"Where is she?" Seeing the wound on Isabella's body, Liam believed everything Sophia said and he was extremely disappointed with Paige.

Liam rushed in the treatment room when the doctor applied the ointment to Paige's wound.

He stared at Paige angrily, "It's you again?"

"Dad, I got hurt as well! It was Sophia! I had nothing to do with the mistress' injury. She fell down and hit the table by herself!"

Paige regained her senses after being taken to the hospital. She remembered that Isabella fell down as soon as she reached out to Isabella. Everything was too strange. It must be Isabella who wanted to frame her.

She was injured too. Moreover, Sophia tried to hit her with a coffee pot. The whole pot of coffee must have been poured on her face if she hadn't fallen down.

Sophia wanted to disfigure her. Paige tried to explain to Liam once she had figured it out.

However, Liam had been misled by Sophia and refused to listen to Paige's explanation.

He was sure that Paige was still trying to frame Sophia. So he slapped her.

Paige felt numb on her face with the slap.

She covered her face and looked at Liam in disbelief.

He hit her again for the sake of the mistress and her daughter! This was the third time that Liam had hit her since yesterday.

Paige choked up but held her tears back sturdily.

She told herself that she couldn't cry. Her father was so cold-hearted that crying wouldn't change anything!

Liam was disappointed and growled at her, "How could you become like this? Do you really think that no one dares to discipline you?"

"I am not... she insulted my mother first, and I didn't mean to hurt her!" Paige choked with sobs and tried to explain.

"How could you hurt her so bad? You almost killed her! Do you know how badly your Aunt Isabella was hurt?"

"Aunt Isabella? She's a shameless mistress! She deserves it!" Paige retorted angrily.

The more she tried to explain, the angrier Liam became.

Compared to Isabella's considerate, Paige was too ignorant. Liam was angry and resentful about her. He felt pity for her when he looked at the fingerprints on Paige's face. So he tried to control himself.

"Aunt Isabella is not going to punish you for what you had done today, but it doesn't mean that you are free to go. You should apologize to her immediately and ask for her forgiveness!"

"She doesn't deserve my apology! Don't even think about it!" How could it be possible for Paige to make an apology to this mistress who insulted her mother?

"Will you apologize or not?" Liam glared at Paige fiercely.

"No way! I won't do it!"

"Well, if you don't apologize to her, then you must get out of my house. You are not my daughter anymore!"

"Fine! I don't care!" Paige retorted straightly.

Seeing her unrepentant look, Liam became angrier, "Well, listen up! If you don't apologize, you can't get a penny from me from now on!"

After saying this, Liam left wrathfully.

Paige walked out of the treatment room stubbornly. The elevator door opened when she came to the corridor.

Joseph walked out from the elevator gracefully. They were stunned when they met each other.

Joseph noticed that there were five red fingerprints on her fair face.

He frowned and strode over, "Who did this?"

Paige could not say a word but pursed her lips. Joseph was impatient, "Are you mute?"

Though his tone was austere, he looked at Paige with concern. Paige couldn't help but cry bitterly, and tears rolled down her eyes.
