Chapter two
Chapter two
I shared this story with my only friend in school. Then he gave me the worst look he had ever given my stupidity.
I shrugged, "I'm serious. I left my room for like ten seconds and returned to find it so unlike it, so clean."
Murphy mocked, "Maybe it's a guardian angel that is meant to look out for you so you do not get your ass kicked."
I rolled my eyes and looked away.
"Join them okay? Tag me silly," I scoffed.
Murphy kept his drink and put out both hands in an explanatory manner, "C'mon. I was just messing with you. It is possible it's something you saw."
I kept quiet so he could win the
argument, yet I am sure of what happened.
But that still left me afraid in every language. I knew no one in the world would believe there was a swift, invisible creature that helped me clean up my room under a short time.

We were returning to class after the break and found out that Philip, a fellow underdog in school was bleeding badly.
From stories, he was walking past, mysteriously fell and God knows how, a stone was in the building. His head had landed hard on it that he bled like hell.
Luckily he was still... Alive. Ptss!
He was rushed to the school sick bay and preparations were made for the blood on the floor to be cleaned. As if the mysterious event of my tidy room was not enough, the blood strangely vanished. Seems you did not get the gist.
Philip's blood on the floor was left unattended to for five seconds. And as the cleaner returned with a mop to wipe it off, the blood stains were gone.
Everybody moved away from the spot in fear.
The cleaner pointed at the clear ground and muttered, "Did anyone clean the mess here?"
No one did.
Infact, no one could do that under such a short time. Everybody walked away afterwards with an unreadable expression. But me, oh my expression was clearly readable.
I... Was... Afraid.
***
I got home again, thinking of how the two mysterious events must have happened. But damn it, there was no suitable answer.
However, thinking of that made me realize I had homework.
Ptss! Normally, I wouldn't have. But now I did, I picked up my book to attend to it.
Opening the book, I flipped the pages to the one the job was on.
Did I...
No! I rubbed my eyes. OMG it was still there.
My homework was already done, and in my own handwriting. But I swear I never did it. Like I hadn't even touched my books until then. Then who did it? He sure did have my handwriting.
That was it!!
I smashed the book close and ran downstairs in fear. They said a problem shared is a problem halved. In my family, the "halved" part was "doubled."
Still, I went to them and struggled between gasps,
"Listen! I don't know but strange things have been happening to me lately. Mom.. my room was like trash when I opened the door to you. But you stepped in and it was clean. That was why I tried so hard to stop you. Then today, Philip got wounded very badly in school that he bled. "
"But when everyone took their gazes off the blood for just a moment, then returned it, the blood was confusingly gone. Then today, just now, I opened my book for homework and again, something strange happened. It was already done, and in my own handwriting. I couldn't take it any longer so I came to air it all out because... I am so confused."
Mom sighed and did not even look up from her cell phone. Finally, she said to dad, "Sweetie. When last did you take the kids for a medical check-up?"
He groaned and closed the paperwork he had been busy with, "Yunno I'm starting to regret not listening to you. I should have continued that on a monthly basis honey."
I eyed them in disbelief. They were exchanging cute names when their son was in a state of... Fuck it.
I hissed, "I knew it. You always think I am silly. I'm as serious as I can be. I did not touch that book earlier!"
They all shifted their gazes from me as if I was never there. They ignored me!
How.... Expected!
I walked awkwardly back to my room, watching my book as if it was some kind of a ghost.
My life was a sudden nightmare.
***
In school the next day, my maths institutor returned the darn homework scripts just for me to realise I had an A+. For an assignment I knew no shit who did it. My highest grade in school had been a C- until now. How elated I was when I had that.
I gazed at the script in my hand. This grade when I did not do it was not comforting. This was turning out weird.
Well, I guess I'd just live on and bare everything single thingummy. Because if I told anyone, they would just say I'm stupid.
Right now, I opened my locker and picked out some books. And for the seventh time, I was just smeared with fudge, another prank from the vi kings.
Well, what could I do to them in return?Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
Nothing! Just walk past the school building in a midst of laughter to the bathroom.
Even if I told on him, all he would be given is an oral warning. But now, as Victor led his team out, his pants got loose and dropped to his feet, on their own.
Victor was in his underwear in the midst of tons of students.
His shame and confusion could not let him pull them up as he stood wondering why something he held tight with a belt came down.
I chuckled silently, just as confused.
He caught me laughing and made a move to threaten me when the principal, Mrs. Stephanie, came by and was shocked to anger.
She spat, "What nonsense Victor! You have exhibited actions of immaturity before now but this is madness. Come to my office now!"
I smiled. That was another mystery yet. But the difference is.. I loved this one.
Victor finally had a taste of his own medicine.
Heads down, I walked past, covered in slimy fudge but received smiles of wonder from my mates.
They thought I had something to do with the disgrace of Victor. But I didn't.
I cleaned myself in the school's bathroom, looked into the mirror and smiled at myself. I then thought of the events that were happening. They were confusing but very graceful. I loved them, well except the disappearance of Philip's blood. I still wonder who was behind all of them.
I left the loo to class, taking a seat. I felt someone beckon on me. I turned and found LIZA! She waved lightly at me.

That was not a dream. LIZA WAVED AT ME. I nodded.

Again in that boring house! I was weary and lazy. I did not even feel like doing any homework. What if?
I opened my backpack and smashed it open. Yep! It was done again, with my handwriting again.
Hah. I fell into bed lazily. Looking around, my room was tidy. My life had never been better.
***
I was being faced with a tight spot as the Vikings waylaid me on my way home, outside the school building. The students just watched everything, cheering for me, expecting me to perform my magic again.
Victor was angry about his disgrace last time. And now, he came back with his clan for revenge. If I messed up now, I was meant to go back to my life with Murphy alone.
Victor picked up a baseball bat and flipped it in his hand, planning on using it on me.
I saw I could not do anything more because last time, I did not even do anything. Victor raised the bat to strike but it dropped from his hand.
He frowned, bent and picked it up, only for it to drop again.
His clan just watched him in confusion.
I walked away quietly in pride of might for something I had no idea of.
I walked home, ignored everyone in the house, then smashed the door behind me.
Now I was confused, really confused. What just happened?
I somehow started thinking of what Murphy had said, "a guardian angel."
No! Stupid! There was no such thing.
I grabbed my homework. It was already done, again.
If it were you.
Would you like it... Or fear it?
