The Millionaire And His Billionaire Ex-Wife

Chapter 247

Chapter 247

She was very dissatisfied and managed to squeeze out a couple of tears. So what if it’s acting? She can

do it too.

“I can’t believe you don’t admit it! Not only did you call me by my full name, but you also shouted at me and tried to force me!”

Eder was rendered speechless by her accusations. He was indeed in the wrong.

After almost losing his life several times, he couldn’t possibly shout at his precious wife. She deserved limitless affection.

The recent incident was indeed a result of him failing to contral his emotions. In his eyes, Grace was different from others. He had to speak softly, gently, and tenderly for her to continue liking him.

He immediately straightened his posture, stood tall with a military stance. “I was wrong.”

Having achieved half of his goal, Grace wiped away her fake tears and ignored him. She arrogantly went upstairs to get ready to leave for the Smith family’s house.

Eder silently followed behind her, bowing his head like a guilty chil:

Since they were going out, Grace never paid him any attention or spoke to him.

Eder couldn’t stand the cold treatment. Apologizing sincerely didn’t work, so he decided to act pitiful. He rubbed his back, limped as he walked, and even gritted his teeth, “Grace, it seems like you hit my tailbone just now…”

Grace glanced at his firm and tight buttocks. “He’s just pretending!

She always controlled herself. Every punch she threw was aimed at the fleshier areas on his back, so there was no way his tailbone would hurt.

Finally, he got her to turn her head and look at him. Eder was delighted and reached out to hold her

waist.

But she calmly avoided his gesture, picked up her bag, and walked out of the villa without looking back.

Eder had no choice but to put on a helpless expression and obediently followed her into the car. NôvelDrama.Org content.

Two luxury cars quickly left the Grant mansion and headed towards the tranquil Mount Galen where the Smith’s family resided.

In the car, Eder occasionally stole glances at Grace who was sitting beside him. She remained focused on admiring the scenery passing by without turning her head.

Eder resisted the urge to say something tender several times. After all, he couldn’t say anything too explicit in front of his bodyguards.

The two of them remained silent throughout the journey. Upon arriving at the Smith family’s residence, Grace had a cold expression on her face as she was the first to get out of the car.

However, instead of going straight inside, she stood at the entrance, waiting for Eder.

Eder noticed her and hurriedly ran over, taking the initiative to hold her small hand and interlocking their fingers tightly.

Grace didn’t resist and let him pull her. She leaned close and whispered softly, “I’m still angry about

what happened today. I’ll let it go for now, but I’ll remember it. You’ll have to make it up to me with

interest.”

Waiting for her at the doorstep made Eder happy enough. He would gladly accept any punishment, even if it was a hundred times worse.

He nodded seriously in response. Seeing his immediate agreement, Grace achieved her goal.

As they entered the villa, her face instantly switched back to a smiling expression, while Eder returned to his usual serious demeanor.

Laura was waiting at the door. Seeing them, Grace let go of Eder and approached Laura, linking arms with her affectionately.

Suddenly, Eder felt empty–handed, but Grace’s warmth hadn’t completely faded away.

He felt a momentary dizziness, a ringing in his cars, and his body felt weak, making it hard to move.

He stopped and took a deep breath, suppressing the overwhelming fear.

“What was happening to his body?”

“Was it the aftermath of the S401 biochemical virus as Mark Briston mentioned? Or was it a sign that his life might suddenly end one day? Or maybe he was overthinking things.”

Noticing that Eder was lost in thought, Grace turned and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Eder snapped back to reality and quietly followed them, saying, “Nothing, just thinking about work

matters.”

His behavior displeased Laura, who expressed her disapproval, saying. “You’re mistaken. We came here with my sister–in–law to have a real with the Smith family. How can you still be preoccupied. with work?”

He acknowledged her comment, saying. “You’re correct, sister–in–law,” but his mind was focused on something else.

Concerned, Laura turned to Grace and expressed, “Sister–in–law, is he truly treating you well? If he ever mistreats you, come back and inform us. Your big brother will always support you.”

Grace preferred to handle her relationship matters privately and nodded without much enthusiasm. She occasionally glanced back at Eder, who seemed off since they entered the villa.

“Eder, you don’t look well. Is something bothering you?”

Eder forced a slight smile. “It’s nothing. I’m just not used to the cold wind after not going out at night for a long time.”

Grace looked at the rustling leaves in the garden. “It does feel chilly. Let’s go inside quickly.”

Mr. Smith, Chris, and Lianne were already waiting in the dining room.

Laura walked over to Chris and took a seat, while Grace and Eder sat beside each other.

As Mr. Smith, who occupied the main seat, didn’t begin eating, everyone sat upright and waited, each with their own thoughts. Mr. Smith scanned the room, eventually focusing on Grace, a contented smile appearing on his aged face.

“It’s been so many years, and my youngest baby, Grace, has grown up,” he remarked. “If the second and third sons were here today, and the third son brought his fiancee from the Grammer family, our family would be complete.”

His words added to the already solemn atmosphere in the dining room. Grace remained motionless, looking at Mr. Smith. Tather, let’s put aside the matter of the second brother for now. I believe he has a plan. Maybe he’ll bring back a daughter–in–law for you.”

Last time, Emma mentioned that ledila went to the city to pursue her second brother, but Grace didn’t know how it was going. However, as the saying goes, “the woman pursues the man,” and the fact that there was

no news of Hedda returning to Frant City indicated that things were going well.

“Is that true? Has your second brother already found someone he’s interested in?” Mr. Smith asked.

Grace chuckled and replied, “I can’t say for sure. Just trust in hin.”

Before Mr. Smith could respond, Lianne sneered and interjected. “You’re right. How can the marriage of a wealthy family be decided by oneself? What if your second brother brings back an uneducated wild girl? Our familywould become a laughingstock, wouldn’t it?“

She sneered and deliberately painted her finger at Grace. “Do you think everyone can be as headstrong as you? Three years ago, you insisted on marrying your ex–husband and ended up killing him before realizing your mistake.”

As soon as those words were uttered, everyone, except for Mr. Smith and Grace, abruptly put down. their spoon. The sound resonated loudly, causing Lianne’s hands to tremble.
