Rescuing His Family
Chapter 46 Rescuing His Family
“But how can I do that?” Raven asked. “He’s so suspicious of me, and I don’t know how to change his mind.”Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Maybe we could try to get him some information that would help him in some way,” Alfredo suggested.
“I think I know what I can do to convince him. Let me call you once I get a positive feedback.” Raven said and then ended the call.
I sneaked into the prison room again where Carlos was being held hoping to convince him this time.
Raven took a deep breath and walked towards Carlos, who was sitting on the floor with his back against the wall. He looked up at her, his eyes full of suspicion. “What are you doing here?” he asked, his tone harsh.
“I need to talk to you,” she said, choosing my words carefully. “I think I might have a way to help you and your family.”
“What do you mean?” he asked, his brow furrowed. She could tell that he was wary of her, and it made her feel guilty for the part she had played in his current predicament.
“I know how much you care about your family and how far you are willing to go to save them, but have been there.” She said.
“Ramos kidnapped my father and threatened to feed him to the shark if I do not agree to marry him.
I had no choice and so I agreed but the Sanchez brothers came to rescue me and all. So I understand what you’re going through and I really want to help you protect your family. But I need you to trust me.” She said.
“So what’s your plan?” He asked.
“I need you to tell me where your family is, if I can get to them long before Ramos men does, we can get them to a secured location where he can’t find them and so he can’t use them against you like he’s using my father against me.” she said.
Carlos stared at me for a long moment, his eyes intense. I could see the conflict in him, the warring emotions of fear and hope. Finally, he nodded. “Okay,” he said, his voice hoarse. “I’ll tell you where my family is.”
I let out a breath I didn’t even realize I had been holding. “Thank you,” I said, relief flooding through me. “I promise I’ll do everything I can to keep them safe.”
“I hope you can,” he said, his tone heavy with worry.
She pulled out her phone and made a call,
“Hello, Alfredo.” She said.
“What did he say? Has he agreed?” Alfredo asked
“He’s agreed to reveal the location of his family.” Raven said.
“Okay, great! All he has to do now is send the location and my men and I will go and get his family and take them to a secure location.” Alfredo said.
“I just hope that nothing goes wrong,” Raven said, her voice tinged with worry.
“I know,” Alfredo said. “But we have to try. We can’t let Ramos get away with using innocent people as pawns in his game. It’s not right.”
“I know,” Raven said, nodding. “I just hope that everything goes smoothly.”
“We’ll do our best,” Alfredo said. “Now, all we can do is wait for Carlos to send the location.”
The two of them sat in silence, the tension in the air palpable.
“Okay… I’ll send to the location, but please… save my family and don’t let anything happen to them.” Carlos said.
“I promise you. I won’t let anything and I mean anything happen to your family. You have my word.” Raven said.
“Thank you,” Carlos said, his voice thick with emotion. “You have no idea what this means to me. I just want to keep my family safe.”
“I understand,” Raven said, her voice soft. “And I’ll do everything in my power to make sure that happens. Just trust me.”
“I do,” Carlos said. “Thank you, again.”
“You’re welcome,” Raven said. “Now, we just have to wait and see what happens.”
The two of them sat in silence, the sound of their breathing the only sound in the room.
Carlos then gave Raven the location of his family and then Raven sent the location to Alfredo. She knew that Ramos had eyes and ears everywhere, and she didn’t want him to know about her plan to save Carlos family.
As soon as Alfredo received the location, he quickly mobilized his men and they went to the location where Carlos had said his family was being held.
When they arrived, they found the house to be empty, with no sign of anyone being there. They began to search the house, looking for any clues as to where Carlos’s family had been taken.
Suddenly, Alfredo heard a noise coming from the basement. He motioned for his men to follow him and they cautiously descended the stairs. As they reached the bottom of the stairs, they saw a room with the door ajar.
Alfredo slowly pushed the door open, his heart pounding in his chest. He couldn’t believe what he saw.
There, in the center of the room, were Carlos’s wife and children, tied up and gagged. He rushed forward, untying them and removing the gags from their mouths. They looked up at him, their eyes wide with fear.
“Are you okay?” Alfredo asked, his voice shaking.
“Yes,” Carlos’s wife said, her voice trembling. “But we don’t know where they took Carlos.”
