The Mafia’s Third Wife: Between The Devil’s Triangle

Her Tears

Tears welled up in Anisa’s eyes, and she couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Her mother, who had been working to expose her own husband’s crimes, was now gone.

She stumbled backward and collapsed onto the couch, unable to process the devastating news.

The room seemed to close in around her as she clung to the faint hope that there had been some mistake, that her mother was still out there somewhere.

Raven, who had rushed into the room upon hearing the news, put a comforting arm around Anisa.

“We’ll find out what happened, Anisa. We’ll get to the truth.”

“No no no no! It can’t be my mother.” Anisa said.

“We spoke last night and she said she was gonna be fine. It just can’t be my mother.”

“I know…. It’s gonna be alright.” Raven said.

“No, it’s not. My mother died while trying to find an evident that we could use to end it all, but she ended up dead.

My father killed her. How could he?” Anisa said.

Raven could only hold Anisa as the young woman grieved the loss of her mother.

It was a heartbreaking moment, and Raven felt the weight of the tragedy that had befallen their mission.

Anisa’s voice quivered with anger and sorrow.

“My father… he’s a monster. How could he take my mother’s life like this?”

Raven replied, her own voice filled with determination.

“We’ll make sure he pays for what he’s done, Anisa. Your mother’s sacrifice won’t be in vain.”

Anisa wiped away her tears and nodded, finding a renewed resolve within her grief.

“We have to expose him, Raven. We can’t let him get away with this.”

Raven squeezed Anisa’s shoulder in support.

“We will, Anisa. We’ll expose the truth and bring him to justice.”

“Did she tell you that she found something that could expose Ramos and Don Rizzo’s crimes?” Alfonso asked.

“No, but she said she was gonna get more evidence that we could use and I told her to be careful.

I didn’t know that something like this was gonna happen…..” Anisa said.

“It hurts….. it hurts so much…. please make it stop hurting….”

Raven’s heart ached as she watched Anisa’s pain. She knew there were no words that could truly ease the suffering Anisa was going through.

All she could do was be there for her, as a friend and a teammate.

Anisa’s grief was palpable, and Alfonso spoke softly, his voice filled with sympathy.

“We’re here for you, Anisa. We’ll get through this together.”

Alejandro added, “And we’ll make sure your mother’s sacrifice was not in vain.

We’ll bring justice to those who took her from us.”

Anisa wiped her tears away and nodded, her determination shining through the grief.

“We can’t let them win, guys. We have to expose the truth, for my mother and for all the other victims.”

“But how did her body get to the river? I mean she was at home right.” Alfredo asked.

“When she called me…. she was uhm…. she was uhm….” Anisa said.

Anisa struggled to find the words to explain the situation. Her voice was shaky as she continued,

“She called me last night and said she was safe, but she didn’t mention anything about leaving the house. I don’t understand how she ended up in the river.”

Alfonso furrowed his brow, deep in thought.

“We need to investigate this thoroughly. There might be clues or evidence that can help us understand what happened.”

Anisa nodded, her eyes filled with determination.

“I want answers, and I want justice for my mother.”

Raven added, “We’ll work together to uncover the truth, Anisa. Your mother’s memory will guide us.”

“And what time did she call you?” Alfredo asked.

Anisa took a deep breath, trying to recall the details. She responded,

“She called me at around 9:30 PM. We talked for a while before saying goodnight.”

Alfonso nodded, jotting down the time in a notebook.

“That’s a good starting point for our investigation. We’ll find out what happened to her, Anisa.”

“What do you think happened?” Anisa asked.

“Well…. if she called around 9:30pm and her body was found this morning by 7am. It means that she found something very important that could have led to her demise.

If she had something that could expose him to the whole world before, he would have killed her long ago, but she didn’t have.” Alfredo said.

“So what are you saying?” Anisa asked.

“It means kiddo that your mum might have stumbled upon a solid evidence that could take down those two criminals and that was what led to her death.” Raven said.

“So my father…. killed my mother who is his wife to cover up his crimes and the crime of his political ally?” Anisa asked.

Raven nodded.

“Sadly… your father doesn’t care about anything else but power. And I feel that the only reason he is still keeping Don Rizzo alive is because he needs him.” Alfonso said.

“So my father kills anyone who stands in his way no matter who that person is?” Anisa asked.

“Yes, Anisa. Your father doesn’t care about anyone. All he cares about his power and he would only keep someone that he needs, but anyone he doesn’t need, he kills.” Raven said.

“So he didn’t need my mother again…..?” Anisa asked, tears coming down her face.

“It’s gonna be alright, Anisa. We will find out the truth about her murder and make sure we get justice for her.” Raven said.

“Well according to the news, the police said it was suicide but we all know that ain’t true.” Alfredo said.

Anisa’s eyes widened at Alfredo’s statement.

“Suicide? That’s impossible! My mother would never do that. She was determined to expose the truth and bring justice.”Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

Raven’s expression hardened.

“The police might be under your father’s influence. We can’t rely on them to uncover the truth.”

Alfonso chimed in,

“We need to conduct our own investigation, gather evidence, and find witnesses who can testify to what really happened.”

Anisa wiped away her tears and nodded, her resolve unwavering.

“We can’t let them cover this up. My mother deserves justice.”

Raven added, “We’ll need to be careful, Anisa. We’re going up against powerful and dangerous people.”

Anisa clenched her fists.

“I don’t care. I won’t stop until we bring them down, for my mother and for all the victims of their crimes.”

“My mother tried to expose my father and she died doing it. I won’t rest until my father and that son of a bitch Don Rizzo gets what he deserves.” Anisa said.

“Anisa, I know that you want to get justice for your mother. I know better than anyone what it feels like.

But you have to listen to me when I say that it’s not gonna be that simple. Don Rizzo isn’t someone you can beat without a solid evidence and that’s what we are all trying to get.

A wrong move from us, could ruin everything and we could all get into trouble or worse die.

So we have to approach this with caution.” Raven said.

“Raven is right, Anisa. If we rush at this, we could get hurt. Because we may not know it might just be a trap set by your father to lure you out to find us.”

“So my father wants to lure me out so that he could find you guys.” Anisa said.

“Yes, Anisa,” Raven replied. “Your father is a cunning and dangerous man. He might use any means necessary to protect himself and his ally, Don Rizzo.

We have to be vigilant and careful.”

Alfonso added, “We’ll need concrete evidence to bring them down. Until then, we must stay hidden and continue gathering information.”

Anisa nodded, though her determination remained strong.

“I understand. I won’t put us all at risk. But I won’t stop until we have the evidence we need to expose them.”

Raven placed a reassuring hand on Anisa’s shoulder.
