Epilogue
The police officers stormed into the room, their guns aimed at Ramos and his men. The situation had taken a dramatic turn, and Ramos was now on the receiving end of the law.
Ramos, realizing the futility of resistance, raised his hands in surrender, a look of anger and defeat on his face.
Anisa couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief and justice. Her father’s reign of terror had come to an end, and he would finally face the consequences of his actions.
Raven, though still bound and bruised, wore a satisfied smile. The truth had prevailed, and justice would be served.
“It’s over Ramos. It’s over for you and Don Rizzo.” She said
“If you want to kill somebody, Kill somebody and don’t stand there and talk about it.” Raven said.
Ramos face was filled with anger. He thought he had won.
“You always said something that no one can stop you because you are always one step ahead. Well…. we were seven steps ahead of you asshole!” Raven said.
“Get him out of here officers.”
“Alejandro, are you alright?” Anisa asked.
“I’m fine.” Alejandro said
“What about Alfredo and Alfonso? Are they alright?” Anisa asked.
“They’re fine. Luckily they left the hideout before Almino could get there and I guess he died in the explosion inside the house. Because Alfredo planted a bomb in the hideout to lure Almino there and blew up the place.”
“Phewww…. what a relief. I thought something bad had happened to them.” Anisa said.
“No… they are fine.” Raven said.
With Ramos in custody and the situation under control, the police officers untied Raven, Alejandro, and Anisa.
The sense of relief was palpable as they knew that justice was finally catching up to the man who had caused so much pain and suffering.
Anisa couldn’t help but feel grateful for the quick thinking and resourcefulness of her friends and allies.
“Thank you, officers,” Raven said as they were freed.
The police nodded in acknowledgment, having witnessed the entire dramatic confrontation.
“Now, we need to make sure all the evidence against Ramos is secure,” Raven said, her determination undeterred.
The officers assured them that they would handle the evidence and ensure a thorough investigation.
Anisa looked at the fallen man who had once been her father, a mix of emotions swirling within her.
“I hope he pays for everything he’s done,” she said quietly.
Raven put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
“He will, Anisa. Justice will be served.”
With that, they left the place, leaving behind the darkness that had haunted them for so long. It was a new beginning, one where the truth had triumphed over deception, and where justice had prevailed.
____
The news carried the story the next day, broadcasting the downfall of Ramos Escobar and the exposure of his crimes.
Anisa, Raven, Alejandro, and their friends watched the news coverage with a sense of vindication.
Anisa couldn’t help but feel a weight lifting from her shoulders. Her mother’s sacrifice had not been in vain, and the truth had been revealed to the world.
As they listened to the news anchor recount the events, Anisa felt a renewed sense of hope for the future.
The fight for justice was far from over, but they had taken a significant step in the right direction.
Raven turned to Anisa with a reassuring smile.
“We did it, kiddo. Your mother’s legacy lives on, and we’ll continue to fight for justice.”
Anisa nodded, her eyes filled with determination. “We won’t stop until all of them are held accountable for their crimes.”
The news also revealed that Don Rizzo was forced to step down from his political careers as he was charged for child molestation and murder as well as emblezzlement and fraud.
Raven couldn’t help but smile as she heard the news about Don Rizzo’s downfall. It was a moment of justice that she had longed for, and it was finally here.
“They got what they deserved,” Raven said, her voice filled with satisfaction.
Alfredo agreed. “It’s a good day for justice, Raven. We’ve taken down two powerful criminals, and the world is a safer place because of it.”
“So what are you guys gonna do now?” Anisa asked.
“Well…. I have to return to my country and take over my father’s business that your father Ramos stole from him and killed him for it.
And build and support anyone who is in need of my help.” Raven said.
“What about you, Alfredo and Alfonso?” Anisa asked.
“Well… I’m returning back to my clinic and live the normal life I left behind for all of these.” Alfredo said.
“While I will return to handling the Sanchez business. After all we ‘re mafians too, but good ones.” Alfonso said.
Anisa smiled.
“And what about you Alejandro?”
“Me? Well, I’m gonna return to my family and continue my work of journalism.” Alejandro said.
“What about you Anisa? Your father is gonna be sentenced to death for murder and other crimes like killing a cop.
What are you gonna do with your life?” Raven asked.
“I uhmm…. would build a new business with my brother that would also support people who needs help just like you.” Anisa said.
“Yeah…. but you have to finish school first.” Raven said.
“I know……” Anisa said.
They all laughed.
Just then Alfredo walked up to Raven.
“I don’t know… if you wanna go on a date with me.” Alfredo said.
Raven smiled…
“Of course I will.”
Alfredo pulled Raven close and kissed her gently.
The rest of the team watched, happy to see a little hope amidst all the chaos they had been through.
As they stood there, the future seemed uncertain, but one thing was clear. They had each other.
They were determined to make the world a better place to help others who do not have the available resources or power to seek justice.
“I Raven will not rest until justice is served. I’ll always be there to lend a hand to anyone in need…….”
