The Luxury of Discount King

Chapter 18 Another Job

Chapter 18 Another Job

All apartments in this community had been already decorated and furnished with high standard. So

every resident could just live in with their own luggage. Before Conrad entered the apartment, Amara

helped to wrap his shoes with covers to avoid staining the floor.

The apartment was design with a European style featuring by Warm White color, which was quite

popular among the young. The one Conrad was now visiting was equipped with three bedrooms. He

was satisfied with this one as it was much better than his little rented shack. What was more, it was

also furnished with basic home appliances. So he could just move in today.

"Okay, take me to No.102." Conrad headed to another one.

In order to decorate all apartments more effectively, all of them in the whole building were mainly

decorated with two styles, which were arranged in the two apartments opposite to each other in each

floor. So Conrad would see both the two styles while only visiting another apartment opposite to the last

one.

And the Apartment No. 102 was decorated with another style featuring with dark color including

brownish red floor and white wall. Such an apartment would mostly fit the elder to live in.

"So, Mr. Porter, are you satisfied with the apartments?" Amara asked.

Conrad smiled, "What can I do if I say no after I bought them all?"

"Oh, sorry…" Amara blushed a bit awkwardly.

Conrad could tell she was just an innocent and simple girl. And it was really rare to meet such a girl

while everyone was overwhelmed with fetishism of money.

While they were talking, continuous footsteps sounded outside the door. It was a group of people with

employee ID cards hung in front of their chests. They were all the staffs of the property management

company while the foreman was the manager, a middle-aged man in his thirties.

"Mr. Porter, I am so sorry we are late. What can I do for you?" The manager said with a smiled and

shook hands with Conrad.

Conrad replied with a smile. He knew they were here to fawn on him as he needed to pay a big sum of

property fee for the whole building in the future. Thus, almost the whole company needed to rely on

him.

"Don't be so formal. Just do remember to clean the surround area." Conrad said.

"Of course we will!" The manager promised.

"Okay, just get down to your own work." Conrad waved to beckon them to leave. He felt a bit weird to

have so many people in his apartment.

"Okay, we will leave right away."

The manager hurried to leave with other staffs.

"Mr. Porter, you are really awesome." Amara exclaimed.

"Well, you can also be awesome if you own a whole building."

"But it's just a dream for me, unless…" Amara seemed to think of something ambiguous. She turned

her face away and suddenly blushed crimson. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

At this moment, her phone rang and she walked out to answer the phone.

Conrad walked around the apartment to see what else he needed to live in.

Some quilts and beddings were needed and so were some home appliances such as the floor mopping

robot and dish-washing machine. Conrad decided to choose some of the most comfortable floors to live

in. So he bought a few appliances on the app and soon they appeared in the room.

Though all the things he needed were acquired now, he was now troubled by a problem—he still had a

lot to deal with but he had no time to do the housework here.

He was rich now but he still had no employees. So he was now in urgent need to hire a few assistants

to help him cope with his own business. When he was about thinking of employment, he noticed Amara

disappeared.

'Perhaps she left first.' Conrad thought to himself. When he walked out of the apartment, he heard the

sob of Amara in the corridor. Conrad walked towards the sound source and found that she squatted

down at the corner while crying sadly.

"What happened? Are you being blamed?"

Seeing her pretty sad face, Conrad had an urge to protect her.

"I…I was fired!" Amara said while wiping her tears away.

After hearing her explanation, Conrad could tell what was happening.

Amara was just employed as an intern and she was arranged to join the sales team aiming at selling

the apartment of the Building No.5. She was lucky enough to finish her sales mission instantly as

Conrad bought the whole building on the app last night. According to the rules of the agency, she could

earn a big sum of money as bonus from the sales of the whole building. However, the agency could just

save all the bonus money by simply firing her. What was worse, Amara was just an intern so she hadn't

signed the labor contract. Only a little amount of compensation would be needed. What a scheming

agency!

Looking at this sad girl, Conrad seemed to have a good idea.

"Okay, don't cry. Would you like to take the job I offer to you?" Conrad asked.

"What job?" Amara looked up at this handsome rich young man with her tearful eyes.

"Work for me as my personal assistant." Conrad said.

"Really? How much can I get paid?" Amara sobbed.

"How much can you get paid in this agency?"

"2000 yuan as the basic salary for each month plus the bonus." Amara then continued, "If I sell no

apartment during the whole month, I can only get the basic salary."

"That's it?" Conrad smiled upon hearing that.

"Okay, if you work for me, you will have your basic salary quintupled. That's to say your base pay will

be 10000 yuan for each month. Besides, you will have extra annual bonus according to your work

performance during the whole year. I will offer you social insurance, food and accommodation. You can

just live in any of the apartments in this building."
