Chapter 30 Shopping Galore
Nicolo sighs as he looks at Mirage waiting outside Solstice.
” Adams. ”
” Yes, Sir? ”
” You heard her. I’m leaving, you clean those trash. ”
” I understand, Sir Nick. ”
” You’re gonna let them all go, Nick? ” Chloe said, surprised.
” That’s what she wanted. Let’s go. She’s starving. ”
” But she didn’t buy anything at all! ”
Nicolo wiped his face with his hand out of frustration. He can’t really understand this woman.
” You decide what to buy for her. ”
” Really? Alright! ” Chloe said beaming.
” Just make it quick, she’s already pissed. ”
” Just go. I can handle this. ”
Nicolo turned around and went to Mirage while he slowly shook his head.
” Okay. ”
Chloe clapped and called the attention of Solstice’s staff.
” Please, listen. I want you to wrap those 4 racks of new arrivals. The dresses, blouses, skirts, shorts and pants. ”
Those racks at the center of the store that hold at least 30 pieces each and are worth at least a thousand dollars per item. The staff and the customers around were all dumbstruck. Their mouths hung open and no one could dare move on their places. They just started to move when Chloe continues to point here and there, proving that she’s dead serious about her orders.
” One of each of those bags on that shelf. ”
She pointed at the left shelf display of bags that holds about 2 dozen pieces.
” A dozen shoes, a dozen sandals and a dozen slippers. ”
And she pointed at the display of limited edition footwears.
” What else? Ah, accessories! ”
And Chloe went over the display of accessories leaving Lydia still on her knees all by herself. Rob Fuller went over to her and helped her stand up and they both went to the corner. The Solstice’s staff were all rattled by all the orders Chloe is making. They’ve been going out and about the stockroom to fulfill Chloe’s orders.
Cris Adams can’t help but shake his head and smile at the commotion.
‘ Poor sales ladies… ‘
” I want all of this. ”
She pointed out on the display that holds at least 10 sets of necklace, earrings and bracelet made of diamonds, pearls, gold and other precious stones such as emerald, jade and rubies.
” And all of this. ”
She pointed to the display of different designs of rings. There were at least less than 2 dozen.
” And this watches she looked at earlier. ”
She pointed out the two glass displays of watches that hold 20 pieces each display. And then she picked up Mirage’s Equinox Card on top of the glass display.
” I’ll take this and give it to her. ”
And she slipped it on her bag and pulled out another card, a black one.
” I’ll pay for all of it using this. ”
And she handed it to Cris Adams.
” You’re not going to use your EC, Miss Chloe? ”
Adams asked about Chloe’s own Equinox Card.
” Nah. I have my own money, and this is for Mir so I’m glad to pay for all of it. I’m the one who dragged her here anyway. ” Chloe smiles.
” I’ll text you the pin. ”
She winked at Adams and left. Adams smiles at the sight of the three figures walking away.
” Mr. Fuller, Ms. Lydia. See you at the office. ”
He said to the two whose mouths are wide open watching the employees of Solstice packing endlessly.
” Please let me know when you’re done packing all Ms. Chloe’s orders. Thanks. ”
He said to the busy staff and then he walked into the office followed by the two offenders. He sits on the single couch and the two slumped shoulders soon to be an ex- employee of Solstice main branch sat on the long couch on his right. Their heads bowed down, unable to look him in the eye.
‘ You’re actually saved by Ms. Mirage whom you both ridiculed. If it’s just Sir Nick? Ha! I don’t know where the dumpsters you will be picked up. ‘
” So, as you’ve heard, no one’s going to be in prison. ”
Lydia and Rob let out a sigh of relief.
” But… You’re also not going to work here anymore. ”
And they both sadly nod their head. No one dares to utter a single word. Cris Adams, though seen always smiling and seems approachable enough was also someone whom every employee dared not to mess with. Nicolo makes it clear that anyone who messes with Adams will face harsh consequences.
So, everyone has learned to keep their mouths shut and never provoke him ever.
” So, you have one week of time to pack all your things and head to Sheridan. You’ll be working there from now on. Now get out. ”
The two were grateful enough that they weren’t fired. They wouldn’t get any other jobs if the words get out that they offended an Esquibel. No one will dare accept them anymore. So even Sheridan was miles away from Equinox which was located at Helena, the capital of Montana, they’re not one to disagree. At least they still have the means to earn money.
With that the two walked out of the office. Cris Adams watches them walk out the door before making a call regarding their transfer to Solstice’s branch at Aurora Shopping Center located at Sheridan.
After the call, Cathy, the assistant manager knocked and entered the office. She looked disheveled and exhausted after organizing all of Chloe’s purchases.

Cris smiles at Cathy’s enthusiasm even when she’s all tired.
‘ She’s getting better. ‘
” Alright, thank you. ”
The assistant nodded and smiled again. They walked out of the office and tons of boxes and paper bags were piled at the corner of the shop. Cris went to the cashier and swiped Chloe’s black card.
” Please ship all of it at Esquibel Mansion. And starting today, Ms. Cathy? ”
Cathy glances up at Cris Adams while checking the long receipt.
” Yes, Sir Cris? Is there anything else? ”
” You’re now the Solstice’s main branch manager. Congratulations! ”
Cathy’s eyes widened in surprise and then she bowed and thanked him and all the employees that greeted her.
‘ Packing all these million dollars worth of items pays off big time! ‘
” Alright, thank you everyone! Let’s prepare all of this to be shipped right away! Good job everyone! ”
And they all happily carried out the new manager’s command while Cris Adams left the store to find the Esquibels after he took care of Chloe’s shopping galore.
