Chapter 211 Sweet Milk
Ranita looked up and saw the flight attendant looking at her with disappointment. Brendon noticed too.
"What's she looking at? It's not my fault! I just let her deliver a box of sweet milk, that's within her job scope." Brendon paused and opened the sweet milk, handing it to Ranita.
"Ew!" Suddenly, Ranita felt nauseous as acid surged in her throat. The sweet milk was indeed sweet but had a hint of sourness from the milk which made Ranita unable to bear it.
Ranita wanted to go to the bathroom but it was already closed by then. "What's wrong?" Brendon asked.
"Nothing..." Ranita forced down the nausea and took a sip of water. "Maybe I haven't eaten anything for too long and smelling milk made me feel sick."
Ranita felt guilty about lying but thankfully, Brendon didn't suspect anything. He handed her a tissue saying, "You never really liked drinking milk before anyway."
Every morning, Ranita would help prepare breakfast for Brendon who always had a glass of milk on his table. However, she rarely finished hers.
He had good memory...
They took the VIP channel, the first to disembark from the plane. Ranita went to the bathroom and couldn't hold back, vomiting intensely.
The little brat who behaved so well those days turned rebellious now, causing chaos inside Ranita's stomach like someone stabbed it open with knives.
She hadn't eaten anything, even vomited bile. Ranita, leaning against the wall, rinsed her mouth and, shaking, pulled out a lemon candy from her bag.
Brendon waited for ten minutes.
"Why is your complexion so bad?" Ranita walked a bit unsteadily. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
"A bit dizzy from hunger!" After a pause, Ranita said, "Dylan is outside to pick me up, I'll leave first."
"Hold on!" said Brendon as he grabbed onto her hand. "Aren't you coming with me?"
Why together?
"Do you not need to go back to Boulderland Mansion?"
Brendon frowned, took her hand, and walked forward. "I'll take you home, then back to Boulderland Mansion."
Ranita was stuffed into the car with no room for objection.
She had to let Dylan go straight home.
The car sped all the way.
Ranita fell asleep again, and in a daze, she seemed to be leaning on a warm embrace, especially warm.
When she woke up, she was leaning on the edge of the car seat.
That warmth was just a dream.
...
No one lived there, and there was a bit of dust in the apartment. Ranita didn't care about cleaning up; she just collapsed on the sofa.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
Ranita peered through the peephole and saw that it was Julia. She opened the door in surprise and said, "Julia, what brings you here?"
"Miss Bowman," Julia explained. "Mr. Stuart said you guys were rushing to catch your flight and didn't have time to eat. So he asked me to bring some food over for you."
Julia smiled as she handed over the takeout box to Ranita. "Mr. Stuart is so kind to you!" she exclaimed.
Pausing for a moment, Julia joked, "If I didn't know about Mr. Stuart's relationship with Miss Murphy, I might've thought he had feelings for you instead."
Ranita nodded indifferently without responding directly to her comment; she simply thanked Julia.
"I just got back, and the house is a bit messy. I won't invite Julia in. Thank you for your hard work."
Julia, seeing Ranita's indifferent appearance, felt an itchy hatred in her heart.
Julia smiled and casually said, "No trouble at all. I also have to rush."
"Well, I still have to go to the flower shop to pick up flowers for Mr. Stuart. Miss Murphy booked a restaurant and is waiting for Mr. Stuart to have dinner."
"So envious!" Julia sighed and asked Ranita, "Miss Bowman, don't you think so?"
