Chapter 124 Turn It Off
There was no hint of emotion on Brendon's face; he simply continued staring at her with dark eyes that seemed to bore into hers.
When she got angry, her eyebrows will rise slightly while her cold demeanor transformed into one of elegance - there was something more feminine about her than usual which made her seem like a little girl who suddenly showed her claws like kittens wanting to scratch someone.
Cute yet fierce; there was also an indescribable possessiveness that moved Brendon deeply.
"You said it yourself - men shouldn't hit women!" Ranita felt uneasy under his gaze and shrunk back slightly while avoiding eye contact.
"Haha!" Suddenly Brendon let out a low laugh, "Are you scared now? Why weren't you scared when you were talking nonsense earlier?"
With naturally high cheekbones combined with his cold expression made him look even more handsome when he laughed. His brows lifted upwards while the corners of his eyes curved downwards making him seem like frost melting into spring water during winter days.
Ranita glared at him angrily but behind her ears had turned red from embarrassment; flames raged within her heart, "Stop laughing!"
Ranita, feeling irritated, reached out to push him.
Her fingers were grabbed. Brendon held her fingertips, gently pressing on her fingertip. He chuckled softly, and his gaze softened as he leaned closer to her ear and said with meaning, "It wasn't nonsense though... you begged me this way before."
Instantly embarrassed beyond belief, Ranita's face turned beet red
Brendon held her fingertips to his lips, his gaze intense, like a wolf ready to pounce and devour her flesh.
Ranita swallowed hard and, with her spine tense, cautiously moved backward.
"Don't talk nonsense! I didn't do it!"
Brendon may seem aloof on the surface, but he can be quite fierce in bed. Sometimes when things got heated, she found herself begging him for more. However, in those moments her mind was clouded and anything she said didn't really count.
"No?" Brendon approached her.
"I really didn't do it..." Ranita denied, but her steps were forced to keep moving backwards until she lost balance and fell onto the couch.
The soft sofa cushioned her, sinking in deeply.
"Get up quickly!" Ranita was pinned down, her face already red like a blazing cloud.
"Then think about it again, are you sure there's nothing?" The man's low voice sounded a bit mischievous, as if he was teasing her.
Ranita was pulled forcefully.
They had been married for three years, and if they looked closely, there were many unforgettable moments. However, even the most beautiful memories were just memories. In twenty days, they will no longer be husband and wife.
"Is it important? Does it matter?" Ranita stared at Brendon, his lips falling lightly behind her ear, tickling and sliding down to her neck and collarbone.
She was tightly wrapped up.
Just like every time before, she was under his control, pulled into the glamorous dream he offered.
The sound of a kiss crushed into the air and filled her ears. She blushed and gasped in confusion, the sound of her breaths more delicate and sticky than the mimicked tones from earlier.
Ranita was entangled with reluctance while feeling embarrassed and wanting to escape at the same time.
It was really hard to make her completely give up on Brendon.
Pulling and tugging, an on-again, off-again dance, always igniting a fire within her just when she was determined to let go. Just when she thought there was hope, he'd make a cut in her heart.
As he reached into her back, Ranita grabbed his shoulder and said, "Do you want to turn off your phone?"
"Someone wants you to accompany them, they can't even drink water."
Ranita raised her eyebrows and her eyes were slightly red at the corners, "Turn it off, be gentle." This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
Brendon lightly scratched her nose and chuckled softly, "So you can be sarcastic too. Shannon was spoiled growing up and sometimes she does cling to me, but..."
Before the words could be finished, a sudden and urgent ringing sound interrupted.
