Chapter 13
Wyatt had read through the contract carefully and noticed that it was a ten–billion–dollar business project.
It was a massive contract.
The contract stated that Hayley Pharmaceuticals‘ flagship product, the cough medicine, accounted for almost 60% of the total value.
That was six billion dollars.
Moreover, the terms in the contract clearly outlined a tenfold compensation clause for any breaches from either parties.
Without Wyatt to maintain the enchantment circle, the azure grass, the key ingredient for the cough medicine, would all wither.
By then, Hayley Pharmaceuticals wouldn’t be able to produce their flagship product, this would naturally constitute a breach. The tenfold of compensation would be… sixty billion dollars?
Even if she sold her company, it wouldn’t yield the sixty billion dollars needed to cover the compensation!
If William had any conscience and decided to sell Porterworks Corporation together with Hayley Pharmaceuticals, maybe they might be able to scrape together that sixty billion.
“William, I hope your feelings for Hayley are true. When she’s faced with difficulties, you will do everything
within your power to help her…” Wyatt mused to himself silently.
“Wyatt, just look at Mr. Porter and then at yourself. The difference between you both is like night and day.”
“Letting go of you for Mr. Porter was Hayley’s smartest move,” Lucy declared triumphantly, as if she had
won a battle.
“Wyatt, why don’t you just kneel and apologize now? If not, Ms. Annette will have to admit that she’s a
mistress in a month.”
“We’ll see what happens in a month. I hope you’ll still be laughing then.” Wyatt stretched and took out his
phone, opening a new text message.
Hayley stepped forward. “Wyatt, Hayley Pharmaceuticals has just secured a ten billion dollar contract with the Moores. This means our company’s turnover will increase and our strength will double.
“These are just the visible benefits. Working with the Moores will also boost Hayley Pharmaceuticals reputation, brand, and stock prices.
“Mark my words. In less than a month, my net worth will skyrocket to two billion dollars!” she said, looking straight into Wyatt’s eyes.
“I will fulfill what I’ve just said to you!” Hayley added with unwavering confidence.
Wyatt paid no attention to her strong declaration. Instead, he stood up with his phone and walked toward
the back of the hall.
Chapter ja
Ann had texted him, saying that her grandfather had delivered the crimson mushroom.
He immediately went to look for Ann ofter he read the text.
The crimson mushroom was the most important thing to him now.
These nature’s treasures could heat his injuries, allowing him to resume his training.
Now that Wyatt had removed the Dragon Seal and reclaimed his status as the Almighty Drakon, training
himself was his main priority.
Apart from his previous capabilities, he needed to ensure that he could at least defend himself.
Otherwise, any ancient martial art master or enemies from the past could easily take his life if he was caught unprepared.
Wyatt’s departure prompted sneers from William and the rest.
“He’s running away from embarrassment.”
“He probably realized that Hayley would only get better after leaving him.” Lucy laughed.
Hayley proudly extended her neck, feeling triumphant.
She had finally proven to Wyatt that divorcing him was right!
Of course, this was just the beginning.
She would have countless opportunities to prove her point as she became more and more successful in
the future!
Meanwhile, Wyatt was already in a private room in Tivoli Mansion. He gazed intently at something before him.
It was on exquisite wooden box, about one square foot in size. There was a piece of crimson mushroom placed inside the box.
The crimson mushroom was three to four times larger than the normal ones. It was crimson in color and
had blood–red veins on its surface, resembling human veins.
It exuded a strong herbal scent and energy. Just a whiff of it could make one feel refreshed.
“This is the first time in my life seeing such a big crimson mushroom. It’s truly a priceless treasure!” remarked Ann, seated across from Wyatt. She gazed at the crimson mushroom with intoxicated eyes, her long slender hand supporting her chin.
“I can’t believe my grandpa, as stingy as he is, would give you something so precious. It’s like snow in the desert,” Ann sighed.
Wyatt smiled faintly. “Your grandpa isn’t just stingy, he’s also cunning. He cut off a small piece and
covered it with tricks.”
“What? He cut off a piece? How did I not notice? It looks like it’s a complete piece.” Ann pretended to be surprised but the smile in her eyes betrayed her.
She knew her grandpa’s ways. He wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to take a pilege of anything he laid his hands on, especially a precious treasure like this.
It’s fine. This crimson mushroom is not just five hundred years old, it’s around soyan hundred Its medicinal properties are potent, so it doesn’t matter if it’s missing a small piece Wyatt chucking.
“Hmm. My grandpa made a mistake this time?” Ann asked, genuinely surprised.
*Make a mistake? He didn’t realize it. Otherwise, he would’ve taken a larger plece.” Wyatt said with a
laugh.
Wyatt shifted his glance back to Ann. “What are you doing here? Why are you not at the banquet?”
“It’s just some silly banquet. I’m tired today and not in the mood to show my face.
Ann stared eagerly at the crimson mushroom. “Wyatt, can I have a small piece?”
“Sure.”
“Go ahead if you’re not scared of bleeding out of all your orifices,” Wyatt teased with a smile
Ann’s expression immediately turned scared and quickly asked, “Then why can you eat (17
“Because I can circulate my life force to neutralize the medicinal effects.”
“In that case, you can use your life force to neutralize its medicinal effects on me. I’ll just have a tiny piece,” Ann pleaded, giving him a pitiful look. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
“Well…”
Wyatt glanced at Ann’s seductive figure with a strange look on his face.
“I can help you neutralize the medicinal effects, but you’ll need to take off your clothes first…” he said.
