Chapter 16: Part One Pedition
Chapter 16: Part One Pedition
1111 A.M
I awake from my brief nap. I feel the same. I do not think anything has changed. Chaos was probably
trying to poison me and it did not work. I should just… I walk in front of a mirror as my mind scrambles
and see myself. What has happened to me? I am radiant.
“KoKo?” I scream. He is just staring at me.
“You look like Venus.”
The only words he can get out are I look like my mother.
“Your mother is the morning star. You have her glow my child.” He continues.
I think he is as dumbfounded as I am. I did not know this was going to happen. Can I bend light like my
mother? I guess we will find out soon enough. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
“Perdition, Be prepared you are more powerful than the morning star ever will be, but you have to stay
calm to control it. Do not let your emotions get the best of you. Do you understand?” KoKo says as he
walks away.
I can tell he is worried. My mighty demon is so weak. Do not worry KoKo I will protect you now.
“So what’s the plan P?” Chaos flashes a smile.
Ugh! Remain calm. I must remain calm. “Mr. Chaos, the plan is to get Camilla Dawn first,” I tell him.
I am trying so hard not to kill him right now. I know I need him.
“What about Mayhem?” he asks.
“Do not speak his name in front of me again,” I reply. “Do you know where Camilla is?” I ask as calmly
as possible.
Chaos walks to the fire. He knows exactly where she is. This idiot is just as bad as I thought.
“Yes. I know where she is. All the descendants know where she is. I also know where the twins are and
before you ask your brother too.” He answers. “I think I know how we can get her and not cause a stir.
Do you want to hear my idea?” He asks.
He is the last person I want helping me. I do not want him to lead the way, but what choice do I have
right now.
“Okay, I am listening.” Like I have a choice right now.
“There is a small house just west of the farm where Mayhem lives. Camilla is there. I do not think she is
heavily guarded. Honestly, they think you will just go for the kids. No one is thinking you will go for
Camilla first. They are guarding the kids. You should be able to walk right in and free Camilla.” He
stops talking and stares at KoKo. “You should let me and KoKo go free the kids. You should go after
Camilla by yourself.” He keeps staring at KoKo as he speaks. He knows KoKo will never go for it.
“Do you think tonight I should just wander into a place I have never been and free Camilla while you,
who I do not trust, and KoKo go gather up my children? This is your plan!” I ask him as I walk away.
He will not upset me. I hear his voice as I walk away. There she is the fire we need. As I hear him I
hear the louder voices. What do you want? The voice answers. We only want to help Perdition.
I walk back to Chaos and get nose to nose with him. “You know what. Fine! We can do it your way. I will
take Sarge. Let me know when you are ready to leave. Come on Sarge.” I yell at him as I walk away
again.
This man makes me crazy! KoKo looks stunned. I guess no one expected quiet little Izzy to stand up
for herself. Well, I have something up my sleeve for them.
They have lied to me about so much. I had to find out the hard way my brother has everyone under his
spell. It is going to be hard to get Camilla Dawn away from him; not impossible but very hard. She is
the only one that can help me free my children. I cannot give up.
KoKo and Chaos are busy. It’s a good time for me to leave. “Come on, Sarge,” I whisper to him.
He whimpers, but he knows I am doing the right thing. I open the door; he trots out in front of me. I
close it quietly. I take a long look at the cabin. When I step off this porch I am no longer protected. I
know what I have to do.
Death is nothing to me. I have been dead. I have been trapped. I remember every single day in the
void. Not every day was bad. I met Mayhem there. I made a life for myself. I learned about the
watchers and the descendants. I learned my true purpose in life. Then Mayhem left me. He left the void
with my children and left me to rot.
I always blamed my father and my brother for what happened, but I believe there is so much more to
it. Why did they want me trapped? Why am I so important that I need to be locked away and hidden?
Damnation is going to answer me. He will tell me the truth.
The voices are telling me to go north. That is not the way to the farm. I will let them lead me. “We
go north, Sarge.”
As memories continue to come back to me, I know more and more by every hour that passes.
Every step Sarge and I take seems familiar. I am going somewhere I have been before. Fear is my
greatest enemy and I cannot let it control me.
Sarge stops. He perks up his ears. I wonder what he hears. The wind begins to blow. The voices are
calling me loudly, but I cannot make out what they are saying. Sarge whines. He hears it too. I hope I
made the right decision. “Run!” The voices scream.
