Chapter 11: Part One Pedition

Day 5

I am awake, I'm not sure what's going on everything seems quiet. I hear ringing. It seems to be

getting louder. Maybe I need to check on that. I wonder where Camilla is.

I don't hear mayhem I don't hear the twins. Why is it so quiet? The ringing it seems so loud. I'll

go downstairs and see if I see anybody maybe I should stay here I'm not sure what to do. Mayhem

says I need to listen he told me to stay here.

I just know there's something wrong. The last thing I remember is coming to rest yesterday

morning. I can't stay here I have to look. I have to check on everybody. Something is not right.

I push the covers off and I step onto the floor. The ringing is so loud. I checked the room I look

in the closet. I'll check downstairs they have to be downstairs. I walk slowly down the stairs.

I'm scared. I shouldn't be scared. I look around the curtains are closed. What is that written on

the door? I went to the door and try to pull it but it won't budge. Did he lock me in the house? What

have I done? What is he doing? Where is everybody?

I still hear the ringing. Okay, think. The symbols look familiar. This looks like an entrapment

spell. Someone has trapped me here. I wonder if mayhem did this to protect me. I can't stay here. I

have to get these symbols off the wall.

The kitchen! There has to be something in the kitchen I can use to get these symbols off the

wall. I go to the kitchen scramble looking for something to remove the symbols. My mind is in overload.

Bleach there has to be bleach here. I look under the cabinet. Yes, bleach! I grab the bleach and

I grab a towel. It should do the trick. I run for the door and start scrubbing. As I'm scrubbing the door

mayhem comes to the door. He looks at me puzzled and asks me what I'm doing. He doesn't know

what's going on, how can this be? He was here when I went to sleep.

“Where have you been," I ask him.

"JJ took the twins to the farm. I went with him to make sure they got there safe. What are you

doing? Where is Camilla?" He asked me with a puzzled look on his face.

He has no idea what's going on. That makes two of us because I'm equally confused.

"I woke up and no one was here. There's a loud ringing in the house. Can't you hear it? I have

no idea where Camilla is. Mayhem, somebody drew symbols on the door to lock me in." I tell him.

Mayhem starts inspecting the door." This is Camilla's writing. She always puts a small dot at

the end of the spell. “He says as he points to a small dot at the bottom of the door.

“What is that ringing?" He asks.

"I don't know. It's really loud in the bedroom. It has to be up there." I tell him as I start walking

towards the bedroom.

"Wait. It might not be safe Perdition." He says as he grabs my arm.

“Let me go ahead of you.” We go up the stairs to the bedroom. The ringing is getting very loud.

“Maybe you should wait here and I'll check it out." He insists.

"Well that's not going to happen, Mayhem. I'm going with you like it or not." I tell him as I push NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

in front of him and start tearing the room apart looking for the ringing.

It's so loud I don't understand why we can't find it. I start going through her bed and realize it's

coming from under the bed. I get on my knees and reach under the bed.

"got it!" I yell as I pull out a box.

Mayhem is looking at me in horror. "Drop it!" he says firmly.

I drop it to the floor. "Do you know what it is?" I asked him.

He shakes his head no but I know he's lying. “We have to get this to Sam now." He grabs the

box and heads downstairs. I follow him as quickly as I can.

I have no idea what's going on. I just know Sam has the answers. At least I hope he does. I'm

afraid for Camilla, the twins, mayhem, and myself. I have a feeling things are going to get worse. I just

hope I'm able to do what all these people think I can do.

I was so close to my brother for so long. I know he left me to rot in the void. He is still my

brother and I still love him. I can't have second thoughts now I have to do what's right and the only right

thing to do is murder my brother.

Mayhem is running ahead of me, I can tell he's frantic. I wonder if he already knows what the

box is. The symbols look familiar. I just can't remember where I've seen them before.

We reach the door at the bar mayhem turns to me and says “please do not be afraid now

everything will be okay"

I believe him or at least I believe that he thinks everything will be okay.

"Sam we have a situation we have to talk now," he tells Sam as he points to the unholy sign on

the door.

Sam immediately stops what he's doing and follows us. We all walk into the room we sit down

and mayhem pulls out the box.

"Have you seen this before Sam?" he asked as he slowly pulls it out of his coat and lays it on a

table.

I can tell Sam has seen this box before. Sam looks at me and he looks back at Mayhem. I can

see terror running through him.

“Only one person could have put this box together. Where is Camilla Dawn?“ He asks.

Mayhem and I both look at each other. I have never seen fear in someone like I am seeing in

these two men right now. No question something has happened to her. We stand here in silence. It

seems like forever is passing by us.

“Perdition do you remember anything?” Sam asks me.

“I do not even remember J.J. and Mayhem leaving. The bracelet made me so weak I must’ve

slept through everything.” I tell him.

“I think it is more than that. We need to try to make you remember what happened. It probably

will not affect you. I seriously doubt it will work at all. But it’s worth a try. As far as this box Camilla was

protecting you. I just hope it didn’t cost her life. This box cloaked you. It made it appear like she was the

only one there. The symbols sealed the door.”He says.

I stop him. “Mayhem knew I was there. Did it stop cloaking me?” I ask. This doesn’t make

sense to me.

“This box does many things. It cloaks you from people who seek to harm you. We have no bad

intentions so you are not cloaked to us. Camilla never gave herself credit. She knew protection spells

better than anyone I’ve ever known. I just wonder where she went. We have to find her quickly.” He

says.

I wonder why she felt I was in trouble. Did someone come for me when Mayhem left with the

twins? There is no explanation for any of this.

"I have a question, Sam. How do you plan to make me remember?" I ask him.

I know I can trust him. I just don't want him messing around with my mind.

"No need to worry Perdition. I'm going to make you a very simple tea. It will either work or it

won't. But I promise you it will not harm you" Sam says as he smiles at me with confidence.

"Okay then let's do it," I tell him as I walk out of the office.
