The ceo’s secretary

Chapter 32

“Babe, your phone is ringing,” Jason said in my ear.

“Give it to me,” I mumbled, still half-asleep.

He handed me the phone, and I answered without checking the caller ID. “Hello, who is this?” I asked sleepily.

“IT’S YOUR FORGOTTEN BEST FRIEND!” Cynthia’s voice blasted through the speaker, waking me up instantly.

“Oh! Cynthia! What’s up?” I asked, trying to sit up.

“OH! CYNTHIA WHAT’S UP? IS THAT WHAT YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO SAY AFTER RUNNING AWAY FROM HOME?” she mimicked angrily.

“I’m sorry, Cynthia,” I said, feeling a wave of guilt wash over me.

“You must meet me this afternoon whether you like it or not, and you better have a good excuse planned or else, consider two of your teeth broken.”

“Are you that furious with me?”

“I’m super furious with you. Do you know what your hot CEO went through because you left him, or how broken down your sister was? You couldn’t even confide in me before you pulled that stupid stunt, and you expect me not to be furious?”

“I know, Cynthia, I know, and I’m sorry for everything,” I said, my voice filled with regret.

“And I’m sorry for everything,” she mimicked again, “I’m telling you, you better have a good excuse for your actions.”

“Okay. See you this afternoon.”

“See you too,” she said before hanging up.

I carelessly threw my phone on the bed and looked out of the window, my thoughts swirling. The reality of my actions and their impact on those I loved weighed heavily on me.

“Good morning,” I said to an already dressed Jason who had been staring at me for some time now.

“Good morning,” he replied.

“How was your night?”

“It was one of the best nights I’ve had in weeks.”

“Why didn’t you wake me up when you know we have work today?” I asked, a hint of irritation creeping into my voice. I suspected that anger might be one of my pregnancy symptoms.

“Because I didn’t know if you were ready to go yet.”

“You should have asked me first,” I said, trying to keep my temper in check.

“I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay, boss,” I said, taking a deep breath to calm myself down. “Maybe I should resume next week then.”C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

“Okay then, I’ll see you later today. And don’t forget to call Tanner if you need anything. I input his number this morning.” He kissed me softly on the lips and then bent his head to kiss my stomach. “Bye, cutie, Daddy is going out.”

I saw him off to the door and gave him a very long kiss before going back inside to rearrange our bedroom. The familiar routine brought a sense of calm, helping me focus on the present and the small, reassuring tasks of our shared life.

Cynthia and I decided to meet at Jason’s mansion that afternoon because she wanted to see the billionaire’s mansion herself. She arrived around three, having left work early. Tanner, the bodyguard, confronted her at the gate and asked for my permission before letting her in.

As soon as she stepped out of the lift, I hugged her, and she hugged me back. “You better have a good excuse,” she whispered in my ear.

“Are you threatening me in my house?” I joked.

“Maybe,” she replied with a playful smirk.

“This way to the sitting room,” I said, guiding her.

“Wow! This is heaven,” Cynthia exclaimed when we got to the sitting room.

“That’s how I felt the first time I was here,” I admitted.

“And you better have a good excuse,” she reminded me again.

“Won’t you eat first?” I suggested. “I prepared your favorite.”

“You planned to bribe me with that. Your excuse first,” she insisted, crossing her arms.

I took a deep breath, feeling the weight of her expectation. “Alright,” I began, leading her to the couch.

“I was facing some problems before I left,” I began, trying to gather my thoughts.

“Problems you couldn’t discuss with your best friend,” Cynthia said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

“I’m trying to explain,” I pleaded.

“Okay, explain,” she said, crossing her arms.

“I started receiving strange calls when Jason and I became a couple. And there’s this girl, Dixie, she’s Jason’s ex, and she threatened me. Then, at the club, when I excused myself to use the restroom, someone threatened me with a knife to my neck.”

“I asked you if there was a problem that night,” Cynthia interrupted.

“I was so scared, I didn’t know what to say. What if she was still watching me? And Jason’s parents already have someone they want him to marry, her name is Sofia. Sofia Scott.”

“The same Scott? The billionaire Scott?” Cynthia asked, her eyes widening.

“Yeah, the billionaire Scott. Because of that, his parents don’t really like me. They see me as a stain. So, that Sunday, his father came to me and gave me a million dollars to leave his son.”

“And you left him because of that?” Cynthia asked angrily.

“He threatened me,” I explained, my voice trembling.

“And that is why you left him,” she repeated, her tone a mix of disbelief and frustration.

“I didn’t know what else to do,” I said, tears forming in my eyes. “I was scared for my life and for my baby. I thought if I disappeared, everyone would be safe.”

“Wait a minute. Your baby? What are you trying to say?” Cynthia asked, her eyes wide with surprise.

“I found out on that Sunday that I’m pregnant,” I revealed.

“You’re pregnant?” Cynthia’s eyes widened in surprise.

“Yeah, I’m pregnant,” I confirmed.

“Why didn’t I notice that?” She exclaimed, jumping up from the couch and rushing over to where I was sitting.

“Because you were busy checking out the house,” I replied with a small smile.

She enveloped me in a warm hug, and I hugged her back, feeling a mix of emotions flood over me. We stood like that for almost a minute before breaking apart.

“Congrats,” Cynthia said, her voice filled with genuine happiness.

“Thank you,” I replied gratefully.

Jason returned and met Cynthia when he came back. After a quick introduction, he excused himself to take some calls in his office, leaving us to enjoy our Adam Lee movie together.

“Now, I can have you all to myself,” Jason said when Cynthia was gone.

“I bet you’ve been waiting for this moment since you came back.”

“Of course, I’m starving. I’ve not taken breakfast, lunch, not to talk of supper.”

“And I would be lying if I said I’m not hungry either.”

I shifted closer to him and kissed him deeply, which he eagerly responded to. We started kissing passionately, and before we knew it, I was lying on the couch with him on top of me.

“Let’s go to the bedroom,” he said into my mouth before breaking the kiss. “I want to fuck you on the bed, where you’ll be comfortable.”

He got up and started making his way to the bedroom while I followed.

“Your knees on the bed, your hands forward, and your head on the pillow,” he commanded when we got to the bedroom.

“What about my clothes?” I asked.

“It’s a beautiful gown, and I love it, so I want to fuck you with it still on. Hope

“I’m bare.”

“Holy shit! On your knees.”

He got out of his clothes in seconds and joined me on the bed. He pulled up my gown and smacked me twice on my butt before placing his dick at my pussy entrance. He waited for a few seconds before pushing his head in slowly. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply to take in all the pleasure.

He pulled out of my pussy slowly and pulled me back to himself by drawing my gown.

“Fuck,” he growled as his breathing became deep and rapid. “Holy shit!”

He increased his pace, and before I knew what was happening, I screamed and cum while he started racing for his own release, which took longer than expected.
