Chapter Twenty Seven

I tried to persuade Tracy to tell me what the surprise is but she refused, I don't actually mind, I'm just

really happy that she told me what is on her mind, I'm happy she decided to consider me and move in

with me, that alone was enough to surprise me.

Tracy went out to talk to someone on phone then she came back inside beaming.

"What?" I asked smiling too, I couldn't help it her smile is contagious

"The surprise is here."

"Really?, I can't wait."

"Close your eyes, wait don't worry I'd help you." She placed her hands over my eyes carefully

"Now count to ten."

"Okay, one, two, three, four...." I stopped because I heard shuffling of feet

"Don't stop." She said

"Good, surprise!" She said taking her hands off my eyes, it was really a surprise, Micheal and Michelle

were standing right in front of my bed looking confused, Cole's wife was standing beside them.

"Micheal!, Michelle!, Hi Tiana Rose." I greeted waving my good hand.

"Hi Alex, bye I'd be leaving now." She said, Tracy, hugged her and thanked her for bringing the kids,

then she left

"Dee, are you fine?" Michelle asked looking sober

"Um, I got into a little accident yesterday," I said and she placed her hand on my leg

"Uncle Cole did this?" Micheal asked surprising me

"Who told you that," Tracy asked obviously surprised too

"Grandma and Grandpa were talking about it, and we saw you yesterday."

"Oh, we got into a little fight, it is nothing much."

"Sorry, Dee." They said making me want to hug them tight but I couldn't because of my broken hand.

"Thank you."

"Mummy, Aunty Tracy said she is bringing us to see daddy," Michelle said surprising me, did Tiana

really say that?

"Yes," Tracy replied and my eyes widened

"So where is daddy?" Michael asked

"That is daddy" Tracy replied gesturing towards me

"Dee is daddy?" They asked Tracy and she nodded

"Dee is daddy!" They said again facing each other then they started jubilating

Tracy started laughing but I could see the tears in her eyes, the twin stopped then faced me.

"We can call you daddy right?" They asked and I nodded

"Daddy!" They called and I tried to laugh at the way they called it but I winced because of the pain

"Are you okay?" Tracy asked rushing to my side

"I'm good, the pain passed."

"Sorry, daddy." The twin said making me melt like snow on a hot day.

"Thank you, my babies."

"So where were you?, you are away for a long time Daddy," Michelle asked me and Michael nodded

"Were, it is you were away for a long time, And you should not disturb daddy, he is kind of hurt you

know," Tracy said trying to save me.

"It's okay Tracy, Michael, Michelle, I'm sorry I was not around, I was busy with some things, but Daddy

is here now, and we are going to have fun now."

"Fun? we love having fun," Micheal said and I smiled.

The children played with me for over an hour, acting out scenes from some of their favorite kid's shows,

before they had to go home, Tracy took them home, then came back to meet me.

I didn't know what to say, I didn't know how to thank her so while she unpacked the things she brought,

I practiced what to say to her.

I had it all figured out but when she faced me, I forgot everything I wanted to say to her, she was

looking very beautiful.

"What?" She asked frowning

"What what?"

"You are looking at me weird, Is there something on my face?" she asked touching her face, making

me smile

"All I can see there is how cute you are," I said sincerely

"Oh."

"Tracy?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you for today, I was surprised and I really appreciate you, thank you for allowing me to get

closer to the kids, thank you for everything."

"You are welcome, and about the kids, you don't need to do much, they already adore you."

"Oh really?."

"Yeah."

"So you brought food?" I asked

"Yeah, oatmeal and fruit."

"Is it for me?"

"Yeah"

"Would you feed me?"

"Yeah."

"Can I kiss you?"

"Yeah, wait what?" She asked realizing what I just did

"I said can I kiss you?"

"Why?" She asked frowning

"To compensate me for being unable to move around much because of your brothers," I said and she

stared at me for few seconds, I was about to tell her not to worry about it because I was scared she'd

get mad at me.

"Only for a minute," she said leaning towards me

"Tracy, look at me," I said and she looked into my eyes

"I love you," I said right before placing my lips on hers, my lips moved on hers slowly but firmly, I bit her

lips slightly she got the message and she opened up for me, I slipped my tongue in, then out, I

continued kissing her slowly, she held my face and gave back to me, I slipped my good hand into her

hair as I deepened the kiss, I tried to stop when I realized I was enjoying myself way too much, but then

Tracy protested and placed her lips back on mine, I kissed her thoroughly then I stopped again, she

wanted to continue but I stopped her.

"Tracy, if we don't stop now, I'd forget that I'm seriously injured and we'd be making baby number three

in no time," I said and she opened her eyes to look at me, she really looked like an angel.

"Okay." She said then pulled away

"I'd feed you now." She said expressionlessly like she was not even here at all, someone would have

thought nothing happened just now, in fact, the only evidence of what happened a few minutes ago

was her swollen lips, she was very expressionless and I wondered why.
