Chapter 2027
"I just can't keep my mouth shut." Georgia had finally found a topic that would equally torment both Hertha and Alaric. How could she possibly let this moment slip away?
"You were all over me back then, I couldn't even push you away. You whispered my name, Georgia, in bed, promising me the world," Georgia spun her tale right there, aiming to infuriate Hertha.
Before she could finish, Alaric had grabbed her arm and dragged her outside.
Once outside, Alaric released her arm as if touching her any longer would somehow taint him.
Alaric glared at Georgia, his warning clear and sharp, "Georgia, I'm warning you, stop spreading lies or you'll regret it!"
Georgia looked up to see his eyes, blazing red with anger, and beneath that, a hint of anxiety.
Where was that anxiety coming from?
Was he nervous about losing Hertha?
Reading the message in Alaric's eyes was like a stab to Georgia's heart.
For years, she had been trailing behind Alaric, hoping for just a glance from him.
But despite the years, she never caught his eye.
Hertha had only been in the picture for a short while, yet she seemed to be all Alaric could see.
The realization was unbearable for Georgia, not just because Alaric cared for someone else, but because she felt powerless in changing that fact.
The slight peace Georgia felt shattered completely at the sight of Alaric's anxious gaze towards Hertha.
Tears streamed down her face.
"Alaric, you're threatening me? I'm a person too, with feelings. Does it not bother you that you're hurting me?" Georgia's voice trembled with emotion. This time, her heart truly ached.
Alaric's response was cold, "Oh, Georgia, now you remember you're human, with flesh and blood? When you were humiliating me in front of the shareholders, acting all high and mighty, did you forget I was human too a man with pride? Didn't you think about how I felt?"
Georgia's tears fell even harder, "I'm sorry, I apologize for my past mistakes. Alaric, can you forgive me?"NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
She reached for Alaric's arm, pleading for his forgiveness.
Now that Alaric had exposed her last deception, she had no cards left to play.
If she continued with her arrogance, she would truly lose Alaric.
Despite his lack of patience for her she couldn't help loving him.

She had never failed to obtain what she desired.
Except for Alaric. Despite her long-standing affection, he remained out of reach. She couldn't accept it, nor was she ready to let go.
Alaric, repulsed, shook off her hand. Just touching him filled him with disgust.
"Get your hands off me! Georgia, you know exactly what you've done. K never forgive you in this lifetime!"
Alario's voice was filled with loathing.
"Then hate me for a lifetime, but at least I'm in your heart," Georgia retorted through her tears.
Suddenly, applause broke the tense atmosphere.
Georgia, surprised, turned to see Hertha, a relaxed smile playing on her lips as she clapped leisurely.
"Georgia, I would hardly believe you didn't have a director scripting this drama for you," Hertha said with a smirk. Georgia's brows furrowed, "What do you mean?"
