The Billionaire's Regret

Chapter 122

Chapter 122

After Wyatt Reed concluded his remarks, the air was filled with an indescribable and eerie silence. Ivy’s face tensed, and her expression became highly unnatural for a brief moment. Soon, the corners of her lips curved into a faint cold smile. “I’m feeling much better now. Even my memory has improved significantly. Mr. Reed, I can now recall all the lies you told me.” Ivy did not attempt to conceal anything. She wished she could rip Wyatt Reed’s phony face off! Wyatt’s reaction, on the other hand, was unexpected. He felt no uneasiness or guilt, nor did he experience any nervousness or shame following his exposure. His candor made Ivy appear unreasonable. His lips curled into a faint and gentle smile as if he were being extremely tolerant and indulgent of her mockery. “That is great.” Ivy rolled her eyes and found herself unable to stop herself from closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. This awkward silence was broken with a barely audible cough. “Ivy, what brought you to see me?” Shaira asked. Simba’s eyes lit up before Ivy could say anything when he saw Wyatt. Simba then leaped from Ivy’s arms and proceeded to Wyatt’s feet, hugging his leg with its two paws. “Papa, I miss you.” Wyatt, who had intended to kick it away, was taken aback. He knelt and grabbed it by the neck, then looked at Simba and smiled. “I miss you, too.” The other three people in the room were taken aback, particularly Liam Saver, who had never expected to see something like this. Simba had always had an unwavering admiration for Wyatt before its program was altered.

Wyatt also had no feelings or reactions to this fabricated tiger. Wyatt even said, “I miss you too” today, in this rare moment? Was that m.n still the Wyatt Reed that everyone was familiar with?” However, when Liam caught a glimpse of Ivy’s shocked and disgusted expression, he immediately understood. Wyatt’s “I miss you, too” may not have been directed at Simba. Simba swung its four limbs in the air, bobbling its adorable little tiger head. Simba was so taken aback that it nearly bit off its protruding tongue. “Papa, you truly are the world’s most handsome man! Mama is the loveliest...” Ivy dragged it away before Simba could finish its sentence because she could not stand Simba’s embarrassing suck-up compliments. Ivy covered Simba’s mouth and cast a warning glance at the small tiger. “Quiet!” She swept a cold glance at Simba and then tossed the small tiger to Shaira. “Since my second brother altered Simba’s program, please restore it for me. The Simba that I raised must follow my instructions!” Everyone immediately understood what she desired. Liam cast a sidelong glance at Wyatt, anticipating a good performance. Wyatt’s face became increasingly cold. His eyes grew dim, and the corners of his mouth tensed. Simba muttered defiantly. “However, you just instructed me to be assertive.” Ivy cast a warning glance at Simba. Simba’s artificial intelligence system quickly determined that this look was not to be tampered with! Simba recoiled weakly as Shaira promised her. “Certainly, no problem.” Shaira then removed her laptop from her bag in front of everyone. Liam and Wyatt remained in the lounge and sat across from them. Simba lay on the table and looked pitifully at Ivy as if it genuinely did not want to despise Wyatt Reed. Ivy pursed her lips for ten minutes and waited. She looked at Shaira and wondered, ‘Still not ready?

I recall it taking less than two minutes the last time she modified Simba.’ Shaira frowned and tapped away laboriously on the keyboard. Another ten minutes passed and her forehead was drenched in a cold sweat. “Oh no! Ryan, inserted a firewall into this small traitor’s program. I am completely incapable of cracking it.” Ivy’s lips twitched. She was stunned and disappointed before she heard Wyatt Reed’s low chuckle opposite her. Everyone’s gaze was drawn to Wyatt. His laughter attracted a lot of attention. ‘What is he so ecstatic about? What is there to celebrate?!’ Ivy deemed. Wyatt appeared to be at ease and smiled contentedly. “Ignore it if your ability is limited.” Shaira Winter was powerless and surrendered. Because this was the code of Ryan, no one could penetrate his defenses. Ivy clenched her teeth in a fury. After such a circuitous route, it was revealed that her greatest adversary was her second brother, who appeared out of nowhere?! Simba’s spirits soared. He leaped into Wyatt’s arms once more. “Papa, you are awe-inspiring and dashing! I love you, Papa!” Ivy gave Simba, who was in Wyatt’s arms, a glare. Her brows twitched, and she spoke in a cold, harsh tone. “Simba! Get back here!” ‘This tiger has no spine and has humiliated me completely in front of that son of a bitch, Wyatt Reed!’ Ivy thought. Wyatt stroked the tiger’s head and said softly, “Return to your mother.” ‘How come this worthless tiger is suddenly so obedient as actually to walk back? Simba even returned Wyatt’s gaze as if he were hesitant to be separated from him?!’ Ivy felt as if she might pass out from exasperation. She quickly stuffed Simba into her bag and gave a faint smile to Liam. “Well, then, goodbye.” Ivy then walked away without waiting for Liam to respond.

Shaira rushed after her. “Ivy!” “May I ask if there is anything else?” Shaira smiled and took a step back. “For the last few days, I’ve been sending messages to Ryan, but he hasn’t responded to any of them. Is he swamped lately?” Ivy nodded. “Because he is involved in a top-secret research project, he will be unable to communicate with the outside world.” Shaira nodded in agreement. She appeared relieved but also dissatisfied. Ivy paused for a moment and smiled. “Shaira, my father’s birthday is coming up soon. Ryan will undoubtedly return, at which point I will invite you!” Shaira beamed without hesitation. “Sure!” Ivy greeted her with a wave. Simba was to be delivered to Leo by her. Otherwise, she would die of rage sooner or later! Wyatt appeared to be in control, but as soon as Ivy left, he said his goodbyes to Liam. Liam became aware of what was happening and teased Wyatt by feigning being in a pickle. “Mr. Reed, we’re going to meet later.” Wyatt cast a cold sidelong glance his way. “Let’s discuss it further next time.” “Even if you leave now, it will be too late. Additionally, Ms. Morgan insinuated that you lied to her?” Liam was seldom in the mood for chit-chat. He had the distinct impression that something was wrong with these two. “How does this relate to you? Busybody!” Wyatt’s tone was apathetic. He then walked out without saying another word. Between their departures, there was less than a minute. Wyatt emerged and stood there watching Ivy’s car drive away from him. In the back, Liam snickered lightly. “What did I say?” ‘He has arrived too late! He will never catch up to her.’ This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

Wyatt’s face darkened. He gave him an indifferent glance and walked away. Wyatt left a sentence in a cold tone before he left. “Nothing good can be expected of a scoundrel.” ‘Is he referring to me as a scoundrel?’ Liam stood immobile and despondent. Nobody could watch Wyatt Reed’s spectacle and remain unaffected. REED CORPORATION. Wyatt Reed fixed his gaze on his computer. Vince’s announcement of the studio’s official transformation was displayed on the screen. Vince would begin planning an adventure program and would recruit a team of explorers. Their entire journey would be documented and aired as a variety show devoted to adventure. Vince made an impromptu self-introduction in front of the camera. He appeared very manly in outdoor attire, and his deep handsome features drew a sizable following. This single short clip gained so much popularity that it took the top spot in that day’s trending topics. Wyatt’s face was glum and sullen as he glared at Ken, who stood at the side nervously.
