CHAPTER 24

3:00am Wednesday, in Asia

8:00pm Tuesday in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Haris wakes up early in the morning to call Atif.

Haris wants to talk to Atif about hiring of overseas workers for the new factory that they about to open

as part of his plan and Seth to send Haya back to Bosnia and Herzegovina

But of course Haris will never tell Atif the real reasons why he wants to implement such things in their

new business.

Haris gets up intentionally early in the morning to talk to Atif for they have different time zones.

He never called Atif last night because it is morning in Bosnia and Herzegovina and he knew that Atif is

very busy in the conference.

Atif called a conference for signing of contracts of the investors and suppliers for the new company.

This early morning Haris will call Atif for he knows that it's already evening there in their country and

Atif is already at home and not so busy with work.

Atif is eating dinner when he receives the phone call from Haris.

"Hello Grandfather. How are you?" Atif asked when he answered the call.

"I'm doing fine Atif. I just call to give you some instructions about the hiring of factory workers in our

new factory." Haris said.

"What is it Grandfather? Tell me so that I can implement it before the hiring process begins." Atif asked.

"I want to give an opportunity to overseas workers to work in our company. So I want 10% of the

workers to come from overseas workers. In fact I talk to some individuals here in Asia that our

company will open an opportunity for them to work overseas, there in our factory in Bosnia and

Herzegovina. The hiring process of the agency here is about to start next week." Haris answered. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

"Okay, Grandfather I will arrange the necessary working permits for those who will be hired for them to

be able to work in our factory. “Atif said.

"That is good Atif. Anyway I heard from your father Mateo that the signing of a contract yesterday for

the investors and suppliers for our factory was successful. Keep up the good work Atif." Haris said.

"I will Grandfather." Atif answered.

"I will go home soon. This coming weekend I will be there again." Haris informed Atif.

"Okay, Grandfather. Just take care." Atif said.

"Thank you Atif. I will." Haris answered.

After their conversation Atif finished eating his dinner.

Then he went up into his room.

He proceeded to the balcony of his room.

There he saw the full moon.

Atif loves watching the moon when it is in its full face.

The full moon reminds him about Aliyah.

Aliyah loves to talk about the full moon.

Atif takes a deep breath and goes back inside his room.

He doesn't want to remember Aliyah anymore.

He doesn't want to remember the things they used to talk about.

He doesn't want to remember all the things that remind him of Aliyah.

Because Atif doesn't want to feel the pain of losing her as a friend like Haya.

Atif walked straight to his bed.

Lay down.

A few minutes later he falls asleep because he is too tired all day long, attending business meetings as

a representative of Haris for Haris is not around.

An hour later Atif dreams about his friend Haya.

These are the scenes that he saw in his dream.

He is standing in front of the crowd of newly hired employees for their company is about to start its

operation

The human resource department introduced Atif as the manager of the new company.

Then Atif suddenly sees a familiar person among the employees.

He is not mistaken, the girl who is standing in the crowd is Haya.

Atif haste to get close to Haya.

Then when he get close to Haya, Atif asked her;

"Haya, is that you?" Atif asked.

Haya turned around and looked at Atif.

But she never answers the question of Atif.

"Where have you been Haya? I'm glad you came back." Atif asked Haya again when he didn't get any

answer from her.

But Haya just raised her eyebrows instead of answering Atif. Then stared at Atif with a sinister look.

"Haya, maybe you don't remember me anymore because I am not a little boy anymore. I’m Atif. Your

friend remember? "Atif reminds Haya of who he is.

Thinking that maybe she is not answering because she doesn't recognize him anymore.

But still Haya didn't answer or talk to him.

She just stared at Atif with a sharp look in her eyes.

That look made Atif nervous and slightly afraid.

"What is wrong Haya?" Atif asked again.

But before he gets an answer from Haya, the trainer from the HR department calls the attention of all

new employees to wear their mandated uniforms and company IDs, and falls in line to enter inside the

orientation room.

Haya wears the uniform and ID that the company mandates and goes to the end of the line where the

employees fall in line.

Atif blink his eyes twice when he sees what is written on Haya's ID.

As if he wants to check if what he reads is correct.

Yes, what he reads is correct. The name which is written on Haya's ID is not "HAYA" but "ALIYAH".

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Atif was woken up because somebody is knocking on the door of his room.

Atif was breathing fast when he woke up.

When he composes himself he stands up and opens the door of his room to see who is knocking.

It is his stepsister Hana.

“Yes Hana what is it?" Atif asked when he saw his step sister outside the door.

"I will just return your car keys. Thank you for letting me borrow your car this afternoon." Hana

answered as she gave the car keys to Atif.

"No worries. You can always borrow it when you need it." Atif answered.

"If that so, thank you in advance my little brother. I will borrow it again next week. “Hana said with a

smile on her face.

"Your welcome. Look I'm grown up now but still you call me little brother." Atif answered and laughed.

"Okay! Goodnight. “Hana laughed also.

Hana used to call Atif that way ever since.

Way back when they are kids until now.

"Goodnight”. Atif answered.

Then Hana goes to her own room as Atif get inside again in his room.
