"What sort of treatment does she think she deserves?! What is it that she really wants?!" Cecile said through her teeth.

If not for Elena, her daughter wouldn't be scolded by her brother now yet her own son only cared about what Elena wanted.

Since they got divorced, he was always taking her side. Why?

Donald was speechless.

Donald admitted that he never thought about how Elena could have endured in is home until today.

Looking at his angry mother, so adamant to blame Elena regardless, he was sure that if he were the one in her place he would have divorced him long time ago.

A part of him wondered why she took it this long. Why had she stayed this long?

"I want you to looked at the papers and watch the videos and the audio," Donald said, getting up.

"Mom, No!" Hannah protested. She could already guess what the video was about.

"Why do I need to see it? When did you start disregarding your sister's privacy?" Cecile asked.

Hearing her words, Donald felt tired.

"It doesn't matter if you look at it. That I could get my hands on. This so easily, it means that my enemies must have already gotten their hands on it. When they are ready to destroy her, you must not come to me to beg," he said and Cecile hesitated.

What was in the documents? But when she saw her daughter's pleading eyes she looked away.

Seeing her reaction, Donald nodded. This is why hi sister is so useless. His mother allows it. He was tired.

"She is not allowed to leave this house for one month. If I for one second hear that she had stepped out of this house, she will not get her allowance." Donald pronounced briskly prior to leaving, the harsh air currently giving him a beating migraine.

His family was absolutely useless recently.

Arriving at his workplace, Donald covered himself in work.

He had not worked long before his secretary brought in the list of people attending tonight's gala.

He only then recalled that he was supposed to join this gala.

Looking through the participant list, Donald was shocked to detect the Grey family included.

"The Greys are taking an interest as well? I heard their daughter who as of late returned is the genuine Grey heir. Her senior sibling Jason only executes her will. Bits of gossip say she just joined their organization formally." his secretary said.

"I see. Then, at that point, this evening is logical intended to slip her entrance into mingling capabilities." Donald mumbled.

It appeared to be unimportant so he put it out of brain.

He intended to stop by later to deal with the rest.

He had to go to his event. He had not yet gotten the chance to meet the Grey family.

If he managed to make a connection with them, this would help him greatly.

That night, the gala went ahead without issues.

Walking around with Jason, Elena had told his arm. Their visual similarity drew respecting looks.

Elena excused her self and left and many gathered around Jason.

Even though he was not the Grey Heir, he was definitely from the Grey family and many wanted to be associated with him.

However, Jason just made cursory casual chitchat until seeing Donald's appearance.

Jason looked away from Donald even though he knew Donald was approaching. He had not had the chance to talk to this former brother-in-paw before and was not sure he wanted to.

"Mr Grey," Donald approached quickly.

Confronting Donald politely, Jason held an aloofly emotionless face.

He was not sure how to talk to this man without throwing a punch.

This idiot had kept his sister away from the family for years.

Even though he knew he did not know about them, Jason did not care.

"It is an honor to meet you," Donald said, stretching his hand to Jason for a handshake, but Jason stared at it without moving.

“Lime wise,” h answered and Donald put away his hand awkwardly.

"I trust your sister is adjusting well to working at your Grey?" Donald at last asked graciously.

Long acclimated with the

presumptuous assumptions of such individuals, Donald just overlooked Jason's coldness however he did not understand that anger was all that awaited him.

"Where is your wife?" Jason asked.

"I am divorced," Donald hesitated but still answered.

He was not sure why that was the first question Jason asked him.

"It is good to divorce. Marriage really destroys women. The barely look themselves when they are inside. I am sure she made the right choice. It is better to let someone else suffer there."

Astonished by her sharp words, everybody looked at Juliet and then at Jason.

They were confused when he made no endeavors to control her boldness.

Even Donald was shocked by the response. It seemed like Jason's date did not like him.

Jason only looked on as though nothing bad was said.

How was he to stop her? J may be his assistant but she was definitely not a quiet type like other would assume.

"I heard you got hitched a long time back, it seems no one heard of it until the divorce." Jason unexpectedly said and many around paused.

Donald's marital status was a secret his mother kept to browse a round for replacements for Elena.

How could Jason let others forget this?

Many families had been thinking of matching him with their daughters all these while.

But when they had heard that he was divorced, they were angry.

Many recalled this and his scandal online and could not help but frown.

"There is also a lot of gossip about you online. How much of that is true?" Jason asked and J stifled as smile.

Jason was a man of little words. But when he spoke, he was always to the point.

Glaring somewhat, Donald thought about how Jason found out so much about him, almost as though he had been paying attention

Beside themselves, essentially nobody had known when he and Elena filed for divorce first.

"Mr Grey is quite attentive to my business," he said and many around look to Jason.

Did this mean that Jason was interested in a project with Donald?

Jason knew what they were all thinking, but he did not answer his question the way Donald thought he would.

"Does it matter? Your personal life is such a mess, between mistress and divorce, it is not good to look at,” Jason said and many thought he was right.

A lot of them were family oriented. They found Donald's life messy and distasteful.

"It's my personal business. Melanie is a friend. It is normal for the media to take things out of context and run with it."

J hooked on a word in his sentence and would not let it go "Really? Which sort of friend precisely? Bed mates? Or then again marriage

potential?"

"One way or the other, it's not up to you to get into my own issues." Donald frowned and retorted.

Before J could open her mouth, Jason pulled her away.

He had known J for years and knew she had a temper.

He did not want her to explode, so he nodded and left without a word.

Watching them withdraw, everybody looked at Donald curiously.

They did not understand what he could have possibly done to offend Jason.
