The Billionaire’s Maid Bride (Flanagan and Allison)

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

After leaving the hotel, Allison’s first stop was the hospital to pay off her overdue medical bills.

Next, she returned to the tiny house behind Ms. Flanagan’s mansion. That was her home, hidden away in the shadows being overshadowed by the grand villa in front.

Her father, Joshua, had been the Flanagan family’s chauffeur, and her mother, Grace, had been their maid. After Joshua’s death, she and her mother moved into this old shabby house.

“Allison!” Margo called out sharply as she passed by the mansion, “Where were you this morning? Hurry up and help prepare the food!”

In the Flanagan household, Allison was treated like a lowly maid, someone anyone could boss around.

Allison mumbled an affirmation and headed towards the kitchen.

Margo scrutinized her face, frowning. “Why aren’t you wearing a mask? Trying to piss off the Missus on purpose, are you?”

Because Allison and Penelope looked so alike, Penelope had made a rule that Allison had to wear a mask whenever she was in the house. If she showed her face, she’d get a beating.

Allison quickly took out a mask from her pocket and put it on. It hid half her face, leaving only her bright eyes visible.

The housekeeper gave her a sharp look but only left after seeing her hard at work.

Outside, a luxury car was parked in front of the Flanagan’s. A man in a high–end grey suit stepped out. His badge glittered under the sunlight, and he was tall, handsome, and charming.

Seeing the man, the housekeeper was quick to greet him excitedly. “Mr. Lindberg, what brings you here?”

This was Lucian, the most famous tycoon in Northfield.

As she spoke, Margo respectfully ushered Lucian into the house, instructing the other servants to “Get Ms. Flanagan and prepare some coffee!”

In the living room, Lucian sat on the sofa, legs crossed, his presence making everyone else feel the pressure.

Allison, carrying the coffee, walked up to him, carefully placing the coffee on the table. As she unintentionally lifted her head, she saw Lucian’s face, and she froze.

It was him!

The memory of him kissing her last night suddenly flooded her mind. She could still feel the pain in her body.

She could almost hear his deep voice, “I will take responsibility!”

Allison panicked, her hands trembling. Some of the coffee splashed out, some of it landing on the man’s trousers. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

Lucian looked at this clumsy maid, who was wearing a thick mask, a white shirt, and jeans, and had a frail figure.

Although she was just a maid, he found her strangely familiar.

“Allison, what’s wrong with you!” Margo scolded coldly, then quickly apologized to Lucian, “I’m sorry, Mr. Lindberg, she’s new here. I’ll make sure to discipline her.”

Lucian’s hot gaze fixed on Allison, making the spots where he had kissed her burn.

She lowered her head, her slender shoulders trembling slightly, ignoring the pain from the hot coffee that had splashed on her hand.

Lucian didn’t say a word. He just gave Allison an indifferent glance.

Good at reading people’s emotions, Margo immediately said, “Allison, thank Mr. Lindberg for his tolerance!”

“Thank you…thank you, Mr. Lindberg!” Allison muttered softly.

Bending over/she quickly took a napkin from the table and began to wipe the coffee stains on the man’s trousers.

After cleaning up, Allison let out a long sigh of relief, picked up the tray and prepared to leave. With her movement, a familiar scent of cherry blossoms filled the room, reminding Lucian of the scent on “Penelope” that night.

Lucian’s eyes narrowed, “Stop!”
