Talented Wife 3
Alina never expected that on her very first day back in Enkmelo, she'd bump into Johnny in an elevator of all places. It was such a tight spot.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
A wave of familiarity washed over her, leaving Alina's face pale. After all, she once loved Johnny to the core. She held onto every memory of him, thinking of him every night, whether falling asleep or waking from dreams. His memory kept haunting her. Alina glanced at Johnny once more, and he picked up on it keenly. To him, Alina was no different from those women whose eyes couldn't leave him alone.
Impatiently, he said, "Get her out."
"What? Do you own this elevator? I'm going up!" Alina insisted. George mentioned Danny was around, and she had to take Danny with her.
Johnny, noticing Alina's earlier intention to leave the elevator and then suddenly wanting to go up after seeing him, formed a poor opinion of her. His face grew colder.
Alina's heart was racing, but when she saw Johnny put on sunglasses, she realized he probably didn't recognize her. She breathed a sigh of relief.
Despite sharing a bed once, they were strangers now. Plus, her appearance had changed drastically. The odds of Johnny recognizing her were slim.
In these years, even though Alina didn't keep tabs on Johnny, she stumbled upon news about him online, especially the gossip with Barbara.
"Mr. Sutton, we've checked, there's no trace of Night. It's likely Night hasn't shown up," one of Johnny's underlings reported inside the elevator.
Hearing her name, Alina understood why Johnny was there. She cursed inwardly. This disgusting bastard! He actually wants me to help his little fling with medical stuff! I'm absolutely not going to do it. Let him give up!"
"Tonight, we've got to find her. Once we do, even if we have to resort to tying her up, she's coming back with me!" Johnny's voice was frigid, utterly heartless.
Alina felt speechless and, at the same time, a bit amused because she, Night herself, stood right in front of Johnny, yet he had no clue.
The elevator quickly reached the banquet hall, and Johnny strode out without sparing a glance at Alina. Right now, Alina couldn't care less about Johnny. She had to hurry and find Danny, making sure Johnny didn't catch sight of his face.
Danny resembled Johnny so much in a way that her son was like a mini version of him. Genetics were a force to be reckoned with, an undeniable hereditary connection that Alina couldn't change. If Johnny saw Danny's face, he'd surely start questioning his identity.
Johnny headed straight for the bash but was unexpectedly bumped by a kid. The impact sent the child stumbling backward, crashing into a waiter carrying a tray of wine. The red liquid splattered all over Johnny's suit.
Johnny's face instantly darkened, but before he could say anything, the kid scrambled up from the floor, urgently exclaiming, "I'm sorry, sir, I gotta go, can you move? I really can't hold it anymore."
Danny held his stomach, rushing to the restroom. Meanwhile, Johnny recognized the boy's face. He thought Danny was Drake Sutton, and instantly became exasperated. "Drake, who allowed you to come out? Where's Laura?" Drake and Laura Sutton were kids Johnny had raised single-handedly. Back then, Diana didn't want these two and sent them
to his place.
Upon hearing Johnny calling him Drake, Danny found it odd. He didn't understand why Johnny would call him that. But when he saw Johnny's face, he was surprised too. He never expected this man to look exactly like him. "Sir, you look like me," Danny muttered. Then he murmured, "When did Mommy secretly have such a big son?"
Johnny's expression turned icy instantly. He hadn't anticipated his son being this disobedient, not calling him "dad." He lifted Danny, his palm landing on Danny's rear.
Johnny knew Drake hadn't been happy these past few days, and was cold toward him. But now, with Drake ignoring him and running out, not addressing him as "dad," it was unacceptable.
"Do you still remember that I'm your dad?"
