Seeing Johnny and Barbara standing together now, Alina felt a heart-wrenching pain, making it hard for her to breathe. She pinched her palm to stabilize her emotions, barely keeping her feelings from exposing.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Knowing that she would encounter them frequently in the future, Alina resolved to seek revenge against these two. Johnny's gaze fell on Alina, a hint of surprise flickering in his pupils.
Earlier in the office, Johnny had received a call from the front desk, informing him that the owner of the studio set to collaborate with the Fashion Department had arrived but was being stopped by Barbara on the way. Now, Barbara was causing a scene. However, he hadn't expected the owner of the new collaborator to be Alina. Andrew Marrow, Johnny's secretary, had handled this matter, and Johnny only knew a new designer was coming, not expecting it to be Alina.
Adjusting her sunglasses, Alina smirked. "Mr. Sutton, your girlfriend is right here. Staring at me like this, isn't it a bit impolite? Or perhaps, Mr. Sutton realized his mistake from yesterday and wants to apologize?" Alina deliberately brought up yesterday's incident. As expected, Barbara couldn't maintain her composure upon hearing those words. She immediately erupted, shouting, "What happened yesterday? You two already knew each other? Johnny, how come I didn't know about this?"
"Andrew, take Ms. Chavez to the conference room." Johnny's voice was cold and clear.
disagree, and I won't let her go!" Barbara blocked Alina.
Now she was sure Alina had deliberately come to the company to seduce Johnny.
"Can't you see? This woman has ulterior motives! There are so many designers. You can find someone else. It just can't be her," Barbara said persistently.
"Barbara, stop making a scene!" Johnny's expression began to show a hint of displeasure.
"I'm not making a scene. I won't agree to Sutton Group collaborating with this woman. Otherwise, I won't sign the endorsement for the next season's clothing line!" Barbara threatened.
"I've reviewed the sales performance report of your company's fashion department over the last five years, and it's been the weakest among all departments in your company. I've been wondering about the reason, and it seems I've found it now.
"Mr. Sutton, when you hired me, it was promised that I would have full control over the Fashion Department, with the freedom to negotiate any terms. Since you're collaborating with our studio, I should have the right to choose the spokesperson, right. Or is Sutton Group a fraudulent organization, reneging on its promises?"
"Of course, you have all the rights," Johnny responded calmly. For some reason, Alina gave Johnny a sense of familiarity. Yet he was certain he hadn't met this heiress of the Chavez family who had recently returned to the family.
"All right, I'm changing the spokesperson now. Mr. Sutton, you don't mind, do you?"
"No, I don't." Johnny shook his head. Changing a spokesperson wasn't a big deal for him. His company had such diverse operations that he wasn't even aware of who the fashion department's spokesperson was.
Barbara turned pale. She couldn't understand what Alina had done to persuade Johnny to comply.
Johnny, no, she's Kelsey's friend. They're targeting me out of jealousy. Johnny, can't you fire her?" Barbara clung to Johnny's
arm.
Johnny pulled away his arm. "Aren't you supposed to be filming?"

The film Barbara was currently shooting had also been secured with Johnny's assistance. She had pleaded with Johnny to help her get this role, promising that she would cooperate well and deliver a good performance. However, the crew had contacted Johnny several times, hinting that Barbara's behavior on set was particularly poor. She wasn't cooperating well and seemed to consider herself a high and mighty superstar.
"I-I just missed you too much, so I came to see you." Barbara feigned a pitiful expression.
Johnny didn't even glance at her, instructing the employee nearby, "Take Ms. Hersey away and then proceed to discuss the collaboration with Ms. Chavez." 2/2
