“He said he doesn’t want to see them anymore, that he just wants a divorce, he even called them bastard Raven, that idiot called my kids bastard”. My God, how did this even happen?

“Well, you see”, I said nervously, “Matt and I have been having issues for some time now”. 

“What! Why didn’t you tell me, Maddy, I am your friend?” She asked, hurt. 

“I know I know, I wanted to, but you have been dealing with your problems with Ethan and your family so I thought I should just handle this by myself”, I said.

“But last night he didn’t come home, he has been doing this for some months now always traveling, saying his boss sent him to this country or that for one stupid business and you know me well Raven, I always know when someone is lying especially Matt, I mean being married to him and he is always nervous when he lies and he won’t even look me in the eyes to tell me where he was going to” I continued.

“So I called him last night asking him where he was. He told me he was at this hotel for some important work that he will get home late but my mom came to see the kids so I told her to watch the kids. She told me she wouldn’t stay long because she has a date with her boyfriend but I will put them to sleep before I go. Which she did because she sent me a message” I continued.

“When I got to the home, which I know he goes to often, I asked them for his room number, which they refused to give me. I paid them to tell me his room and I’m his wife and I wanted to surprise him. So I went to the room that he was using and the door was not locked because I know Matt does not like locking his door even though our room door is always open. I heard moaning so I thought maybe he was, you know, ‘masturbating’. 

“I went in only to see him having sex with his boss, that bitch, that fucking old bitch. I was so speechless Raven. I couldn’t say anything, I was so angry I left, I wanted to call you but I knew you would be asleep.

“So he came home and saw me in the living room. Instead of apologising to me, he started asking me, ” What were you doing at the hotel?”.

“Is that what you have to say to me Matt, you were sleeping with that old bitch, how could you do this to me?” 

“We started yelling at each other and the next thing he said was, “I don’t love you anymore Amanda, I want a divorce”. “What! bu-bu but what about the kids? What about them?“Look Amanda it’s over, this marriage is over and the kids, I don’t want to see again. I will sign any papers just for you to have them. “I don’t want to have anything to do with those little bastards” and I slapped him. “This is what happened.

Raven, he looked me in the eyes and told me to leave his house with the kids.

“But Raven the kids saw everything. They haven’t said anything since we left the house, I don’t know where to start from babes! What am I going to do?” I was confused. 

“I’m so sorry you have to go through this”. She hugged me and asked, ” What are you going to do?”.

“I am going to sign those divorce papers Raven. But I need a place to stay with the kids, I don’t want to stay with my mom and her boyfriend” I said confidently.

“Babes you don’t need to ask furthermore! You can stay here as long as you want!” She smiled. 

We shared our friends’ moments and the kids came down for food. They all came down and ate their food. My kids were very quiet. They were not happy with what was going on so after breakfast I sat them down and told them what was going on.

“Dad is always busy and he doesn’t want us anymore,” Ella said shortly Daniella). 

They started crying, “I’m so sorry kids”. 

“You don’t need to apologise, mom, dad is a jerk”. 

“Don’t say that word Dani(Danielle) he is still your father”? I said sternly.

“He is not our father, mama. And we just have to get used to it”.

“He was never around after we moved from Mexico, he missed our games, birthday party so we will be okay right mom?”, they asked.

“Yes kids we will be alright because mommy is here to protect you” we hugged.

“But mom, where are we going to stay? I want to stay here with Blue” Daniel said, “and with Aunt Raven too, “but there was something about how she said Blue’s name that she was blushing.

I knew she liked Blue more than just friends. “Don’t worry kids, you all will be moving in with us. I mean this house is big enough for all of us so you guys will be staying here from now on” Raven said.

Time skip -5 months later-

It’s been over five-month now since I and Matt got divorced and to tell you the truth I was not happy about it but I had to let him go and move on. 

But I am so done with dating men, yeah I know what you are thinking and it is true I always had a thing for girls. I remember kissing this cheerleader when I was in high school, she was my first kiss and I liked it. And there was Viv my best friend when we were in high school, we got drunk at a friend’s party and we woke up naked the next day, I wasn’t that drunk so I remembered what happened but when she woke up and saw us naked she started screaming, I even screamed as well it was so hilarious. So I guess all I need is to move on.
