The Billionaire’s Creed

Chapter 69

ADLEY

I decided to work on my emotions. I thought women could agree that not all pregnant had experienced what I was going through right now-maybe it was all in my head.

I started yoga ten minutes ago, but my mind was somewhere, and I couldn’t push every thought out of my head.

I took a few deep breaths and started with seated poses. I was just about to begin stretching when Mykel sat in front of me, glaring.

“What?”

“Are you planning on leaving me?” I was taken aback by his question. Judging by the slants of his eyebrows and eyes, he was not joking.

I should make things clear between us that no one should ask this kind of question to me early in the morning.

“What kind of question is that?”

“A valid one. It’s in your itinerary.”

“So you’re going through my stuff now?”

“I was pissed off with your phone. Who are those people who kept calling you early in the morning? And you always kept your phone silent when you’re at home.”

“Actually, not on silent mode, but I kept the volume low. I just turned off the vibration. I was waiting for the call from Grandpa. Why am I explaining this to you?”

“Because I am your husband. So you’re hunting for an apartment?” He looked hurt. Well, that was the plan before I went with him to meet his son. That kid was nothing but adorable and deserved the best in the world.

I nodded.

“You’re leaving me because I have a son? You really never cared about me, huh? About my feelings, our life together, what we shared, our plans, our fucking marriage! It’s all but terms and getting things done to you, isn’t it?”

“Your voice, please?” I blew a deep breath because I could feel my anger rising. If he kept talking, I might have to punch him to shut him up.

“You’re giving up on us. That giving you some time you asked is actually months or worse, years? Or maybe, the next thing I receive from you is a fucking divorce papers.”

I rolled my eyes. “That was the plan. Except for the last part.”

“And now?”

I looked at him. He badly needed my answer. I could see and feel him falling apart. I did believe him that he loved me. Every night since I came back with him, he never left my side. He cuddled me to sleep.

“Adley?”

“I’m not leaving you.”

“Oh, thank God.” His eyes turned red as he blinked off his tears. “You’re not leaving our home.”

I shook my head. I broke my pose and sat down with him. “I know I’d been terrible to you. It started when I found out that you have a son. It hurt. I couldn’t even put it in words. I get it, and I understand that you want to do the right thing. You made a terrible mistake by abandoning him. A part of me is tearing apart with so much pain that I could barely endure it.”

“I’m so sorry, baby.” He held my hands. “It was never my intention. Things I put you through are unforgivable.”

“You’re just doing what’s right.”

“But that’s not fair on your side. You’re hurting, and I keep hurting you.”

“I think that’s part of being in a relationship. We share love, happiness, pain, everything. I was about to leave. That’s true. I know I was being irrationally jealous.”

His brows knitted together. “Oh, baby. I have no idea. I’m so sorry.”

“We’ll I get used to being the center of your attention. When we plan together, we should do it together. The thought of you having a kid, and not my own, broke me to pieces. That’s, to say the least, how I felt. I know that in my heart, I was being selfish. Your world doesn’t revolve around me alone-”

“Adley, you are still my wife, my life, and my whole world. Nothing’s changed. I love you more. I also love my son. My love for you is different, baby. My love for him is different, and if we’re gonna have babies on our own. I will love them the way I love Jax. I will love them fairly, but there’s always one wife in my heart, the love of my life. It’s you.”

“I know.” I looked up as I tried to push back the tears.

When I looked back at him, he was smiling, and there were tears of joy in his eyes. “I would never love someone the way I love you, Adley. Please, you don’t have to be jealous because you are the only one I want and need. You’re stuck with me through eternity. Jax is my blood and will always be my son. Our babies will always be my children. I would never compare my love for you to them. You would know that when we’re gonna have kids on our own. You would understand what I mean.”

I actually do now.

“When I saw Jax, I felt stupid. I was so stupid-”

He chuckled. “You’re not stupid, baby. It was just a normal reaction.”

I wiped the tears on his face. “You’re a good father, Mykel.”

“And you’re gonna be a good mother, Adley. Come here.”

I did not resist. I badly needed a hug, and I sighed in his arms. I wished I could just blurt out that I was pregnant with his child.

Maybe another time.

This would be my first time officially a part of board members. It was a new experience and somewhat intimidating. But I was here not to be intimidated because I was the only woman and young in the group. I just became the major shareholder, and if they said something I wouldn’t like, I would slap the reality right into their faces.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

After they asked about my grandfather’s condition, we returned to the matters at hand. My grandfather was already at home, getting his full recovery.

The screen flashed on. The face of my grandfather appeared on the screen. And here I thought he was resting. I took that back.

“Good morning, everyone,” my grandfather started.

The board chorused to greet him back.

“How are you feeling, Lex?” one of the boards asked.

“I’m fine. Considering my abdomen just cracked open, I’m grateful for all your prayers. Let’s cut the chase. I’m nominating my granddaughter Adley for my position as the next CEO.” When my name was called, I thought my heart had just stopped.

Everyone went remarkably silent.

Mr. Jean, three-seat apart from my left cleared his throat. “With all due respect, I’m nominating myself. I’m also a shareholder. I have enough experience. I can make this corporation even more prosperous.”

“Okay. Anyone?”

The room fell silent.

“If that’s all. Our decision will be finalized next week.” Mr. Adams, the tout and baldy, said. The newly appointed COO. “Thanks for coming, Mrs. Creed.”

“Thank you for having me, Mr. Adams.”

“No one calls me Mr. Adams anymore, Adley. We’re on a first-name basis here. Call me Allen.”

“Thank you, Allen.”

Mr. Jean came over. “I’m just making the voting more fun. Call me Carter. You just became the major shareholder and the only heiress and young Kross. Make a big difference in the corp, Adley. Welcome aboard.” He held his hand out.

“Thank you.”

I met Mykel in the lobby. He’s grinning ear to ear. “How did it go?”

I pursed my lips as I stopped in the middle. “Grandpa and I planned this out that you’d be the CEO of Kross Corp. I’m still wondering how did I end up here. I’m just nominated-” I yelped in surprise to find Mykel lifted me and spun me. “Put me down this instant!”

Everyone stopped from whatever they were doing and stared at us.

When he finally put me down, he kissed me on the lips. It was sweet and quick.

“Never seen someone kissing his wife?” He stared at everyone one by one until they got back to whatever pleased them.

“Let’s go before I’m gonna spank your butt.”

He put his arm around me. “You missed it, didn’t you?”

“I’m starving.”

“Then we’ll eat. What do you have in mind?”

“Something juicy.”

“Steak?”

“Anything wet.”

He pinched me on my side, causing me to jerk. “Don’t say something like that again.”

“What’s wrong-”

“Baby, I’m warning you-”

“You’re just dirty-minded. I was actually thinking of something with tomatoes.”

“It’s been a while, baby.”

“You’re still thinking about sex, Mykel.”

“Never off my mind.”

“Let’s order and eat at home.”

“Are you sure?”

He pumped his length inside me, and I felt like falling apart. I missed the feeling of pleasure, of flying. I rocked my hips into him. He met me in the middle, and my world shook every time he hit deep. Pulses of waves flew through me, so intense that my muscles were cramped.

“Babe, I’m close.” I moaned so loud and long.

“I’m with you.” He held my hips steady. Each stroke, each thrust was heavy and powerful.

I pressed my palms against his broad chest when I couldn’t hold my orgasm anymore. I knew this would be hard, intense, and shattering.

“Let go, baby.” As he held me in place for a moment, he rocked his hips upward, hitting and pressing that sensitive bundle of nerves.

I felt my clit engorging, pulsing. Mykel watched me all the time as I got lost in the world of ecstasy I was no longer in control of.

“Mykel!” My orgasm hit me so hard that I fell on top of him as it kept rolling and rolling, and I shuddered and shuddered as an endless pleasure shocked through me. I growled raw like a feral animal. I was desperate to breathe, but I was also satisfied with my needs.

Mykel wrapped his arms around me and rolled over, and I was on my back. He didn’t wait another second. He plunged and thrust into me like a wild animal in heat. In less than a minute, I felt the pleasure building back. My entire body was melting again.

As he pressed his thumb on my sensitive clit, he fucked me like he never did before, and I was moaning, whining, and writhing with pleasure.

Desperate groans erupted from his chest, and he shook and shuddered. I watch his perfect body carved by Renaissance. His muscles were constricting, and sweat shone on his skin as he showed the full extent of his hunger, how viciously strong he was.

I found myself grinding against him, desperately seeking pleasure. And he gave me. I cried out, abandoning all my restraint.
