The Billionaire’s Creed

Chapter 55

MYKEL

“Mykel!”

I didn’t know what came over me that I was snarky and so pissed off with something nonsense. And what was worse was that I mentioned my brother’s name.

I was a complete jerk, an asshole.

What had gotten into me? Because it had nothing to do with the choices of movies she wanted to watch. I just couldn’t figure out what the jealousy was all about.

I regretted it right away. I knew Adley didn’t have feelings for Knox. She was mine in the first place. So why was anything about Knox still bothering me?

“You’re overreacting.” She joined me in the office and sat at the desk where I exactly told her she was the only missing piece.

“You pushed me away. I came here to make money. What do you want, Adley?” I asked dryly.

“You’re upset with me.” She touched my chin, forcing me to look at her.

“I think I’m a little bit over dramatic if I’m pissed off about something.” I was typing gibberish. I couldn’t focus on what I was doing when she just spread her thighs in front of me, her other foot on the armrest.

“Then what’s with Knox? You know I don’t like him anymore. Past is past, remember?”

I held her leg and put it down. “I’m working.”

“Typing nonsense is working now, huh? How long do you think you can keep that up, ignoring me?” She pulled her shirt over her head and carelessly tossed it over her shoulder. “Let me see if you can resist me.” She pulled her shorts down her legs and kicked them away.

The remaining cloth on her body was her lacy bra and thin thong. I was dying that my skin burned to take a peek at the swell of her tits, her flat stomach, and her pussy which I knew she was ready for me.

My lips started to dry as she tried to unhook her bra. My heart hammered in my chest as I already imagined every carnal detail I wanted to do to her, including spreading her legs wide on top of my desk, then sucking and licking those pink little tout buds of her tits.

My needs started to burn inside me. My fingers began shaking as I thought of sucking and licking her sweet and wet pussy until she came into my mouth.

I wanted to rip that thing off her body and ravage her like I was a feral animal.

Except, I convinced myself that this was not me anymore. I was a better person than to let my lust control me.

I drew a deep breath before I met her in the eye. “Baby, please put your clothes on.” Even if my voice and body were betraying me, I loved my wife more than anything money could buy and satisfying my own desire.

She narrowed her eyes at me. “You’re kidding, right?”

I shut my laptop close. “I love you so much it hurts. Sex isn’t always-”

“Whatever. I’m going to bed, husband, with a bruised ego, aching and unsated. I’m done with the hot vampires, anyway.” She was quicker on her feet, picked up her clothes, and dashed out the door.

“Fuck.” I squeezed my eyes shut as I pinched the bridge of my nose. I was screwing up everything I touched.

I decided to go to bed, and my wife turned her back on me.

“I wanna put tv in the room and watch vampire movies and tv shows with you for the rest of our lives. I’m not letting anything come between us. Ever.”

“What’s with you and your brother?”

“I don’t know, baby. I think that issue is messing with my head. I’m sorry about that.”

“You know I don’t have feelings for your brother, Mykel.”

“I know. I’m sorry.” I held her arm. “Can you move close to me now?”

She sighed deeply. “Since you admitted that it’s your fault and you apologized. Fine.” She was in my arms in less than five seconds.

“Are you still up for that stripping off your clothes?”

“You said it yourself. Sex isn’t always the answer. Your words, not mine.”

“Hmm. I see. So I have to wait for another week to get you hot and bothered?”

“Are you still up for vampire movies?”

Fuck me. There was no way out of this, was there?

“Sure.”

“No tv in the bedroom, though.”

We watched the movie for another hour until she dozed off, snoring in my arms. I realized this relationship was supposed to be a give and take. She gave me everything I needed and wanted, and I became selfish for little things like watching movies with her. So much for convincing myself how much I love her and how I became a better person.

I convinced my lawyers that we should meet with Maisey before things came out and escalated. She arrived on time with her lawyer and entered the conference room.

I wasn’t nervous anymore after knowing the truth about the reason why she was doing this. If she only came to me if she needed money, I would not hesitate to offer help. Somehow, I felt bad for her even if she was here to ruin my life and the Creed legacy I worked so hard for years.

“Are you ready?” Adley fixed my necktie. “Remember, you have a clean conscience. You’re doing this to clean your good name, handsome face, and sexy abs.”

“I love you.”

She tiptoed to kiss me and looked me in the eye. “I feel it every second of every day.”

“Let’s get in, Mr. Creed,” one of my lawyers informed.

“I’ll be here waiting for you, babe.”

I nodded and smiled at her before we entered the conference.

We sat across them. Maisey looked pretty confident. Merick Senior must have promised her a million dollars if they won the case against me.

“So, you know why we are here today?” my lawyer, Atty. Tawny started.

“If we are here to sort an arrangement, we are not interested. We are taking this to court,” her lawyer countered. For a woman who was still paying her college loan but could afford a high-profile lawyer should surprise me. But things became even more clear to me.

“May I speak with Ms. Bouchard alone?” Though my lawyers advised me not to talk unless asked, I tried to help her in any way possible before everything would be too late for her.

“That’s not gonna happen. She’d already suffered too much in your hands, Mr. Creed. She shouldn’t be here if your lawyers did not request this meeting.”

“My client is not guilty until proven,” my lawyer countered.

“We have incriminating evidence against your client. Now, let’s get into business. Is he ready to plea guilty?”

“We are not here to plead guilty or do anything because my client, Mr. Creed, did not sexually assault your client. Miss Bouchard knows the truth. We are here to tell you to drop the case before you file or before we reach the pre-trial, or we will file a lawsuit against your client of twenty million defamation,” My other lawyer, Atty. Randish made the point.

“Here’s what we gonna do. Let’s say you have enough evidence, and if you win, my client will still be a billionaire, and if you lose, you will be forever humiliated, won’t be able to find a job, and won’t be able to pay your college loan. The fact that you will swear an oath, whatever you have against my client, I know it will not hold in the court.”

“Do you really wanna do this, destroying me with lies, Maisey?”

“I think we’re done here,” her lawyer dismissed.

“Okay then. I’m sure Gary Merick Sr will help you win this case. Good luck to both of you. Let’s go.” I rose from the seat.

I first rushed out of the conference room, and my lawyers followed me.

“You should not have done that. That’s our rebuttal. I told you not to say anything in there.” Atty. Randish scolded me, which he was right.

“That asshole is using her. Whatever he promised, she’s stupid if she thinks Merick will hold up his end of the bargain.”

“That’s her life. Why do you care? She’s about to ruin yours, company, and family in public, Mykel.”

“Can’t you see it? I’m just not a bad buy here to violate a woman,” I told him the truth. “You can call everyone I slept with and ask them one by one.”

“Oh, that will be going to happen.”

“I want them to be shaken.” I joined my wife.

“What happened?”

“I screwed up and just pulled the card that made them tick.”

“Oh.” Adley also looked shocked. “You’re gonna be okay. Let’s go home.”

“Hold my hand, baby,” I told her when I felt my hand start to shake.

She linked our hands together and pressed them against her lips. We reached the parking lot and saw Maisey, somehow waiting for us.This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

“What is she doing?” Adley asked, rattled.

“No idea.”

“She’s creeping me out.”

“It’s okay,” I reassured her.

Sax and Kye came over, helping us to our ride. I was finally able to breathe when we were inside the car.

“Are you okay? You’ve been holding your breath for a minute.”

“I was about to ask you the same thing.”

“I’m-” Adley yelped out when someone just knocked on the window. Her hand was fast on her chest.

“Stay right here. Locked the door.” Sax was faster in climbing out of the car. Kye was on full alert.

“I’m here.” I wrapped my arms around my wife and kissed her head. “It’s gonna be okay.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Kye talked to Sax on the comm. “Fine.”

“What is it?” I asked Kye.

“Boss, she wanna talk to us. I’m taking her to the firm.”

“Is this a good idea?” I looked at Kye.

“Maybe she has a change of heart. Don’t worry. We know how to handle someone like her. Sax will take the wheel, boss.”

“Let’s get this over with already.”
