Carla's face became red with embarrassment and she looked away. She knew Jenny was right, she had never done those things she mentioned. She gave up verbal fight with Jenny, knowing she couldn't win against her more sophisticated friend.

She sighed and gave Jenny a long look " Okay, i give up "

Jenny laughed harder " Best decision you've made in a day "

She clapped her hands in excitement and added " I can't wait to see the look on Liam's face when he finally sees you! " She exclaimed.

" Get away from me! " Carla yelled when Jenny engulfed her in a tight hug. Jenny finally released her and Carla glared at her as she straightened her gown. The doorbell rang that moment and Jenny whooped in excitement.

Carla felt her heartbeat quicken in fear and excitement mixed together to become anxiety. Her palms had gotten wet as she clenched her hands in fists.

" Come on! " Jenny shouted again

Carla got her acts together and walked towards the door. The bell rang the second time and she took a deep breath.

She opened the door and Liam started to say Hi but the words hung up in his throat as he looked at her speechlessly. Damn! Who was this stunning beauty before him? He asked himself in wonder. She looked so beautiful that he almost didn't recognize her.The dress... Fuck, the dress she wore clung to her like second skin and all her womanly curves were on display for him. His little friend down there started to peck up and he groaned inwardly.

Behind them, Jenny folded her hands under her breasts and watched the scene before her happily. It was obvious Liam was already taken with Carla in the short time they met and she was pretty sure Carla felt the same. Knowing her friend for who she was, Carla wouldn't admit it to herself.

Carla suddenly felt hot under Liam's pinned gaze on her. He was staring at her with something like hunger and lust, it was written so clearly in his eyes. For once, she was glad she had dressed up so prettily tonight. She checked him out too, he was doing the same so why couldn't she?

He looked like a ruthless and arrogant billionaire in his black suit and his bulging muscles rippled with strength from beneath. Of course he looked drop dead gorgeous, she wouldn't deny that. His hair was combed back, giving him a boyish look. He came out of the spell that seemed to have been casted on them the minute they set eyes on each other.

He smirked " Take a picture, would last longer princess " He said, looking down at her with a wink.

Carla snapped out of her dazed look and blushed at being caught red handed ogling him.

" Hi " She said softly, her cheeks a rosy shade.

He leaned down to her eye level and whispered into her ears " I must say you look stunning tonight, princess "

Carla became a pudding of blush right there and her cheeks turned a bright shade of pink.

" Thank you " She whispered.

" You're not bad yourself " She complimented him too and looked away quickly.

His eyes twinkled " You think so? "

She nodded and he smiled so widely that his dimples showed. She was just so cool tonight, he thought. It seemed she had locked up her sassy attitude, he wouldn't like that. Surprisingly, he liked the saucy Carla more than this quiet one. Jenny thought it was high time she announced her presence because the couple seemed to be lost in their own world. It was glaringly obvious that were attracted to each other but Jenny was willing to wait patiently for Carla to discover her feelings for the guy.

She coughed discreetly " Are you guys aware I'm still here? "

" I never knew you were here in the first place " Carla retorted.

Jenny rolled her eyes and turned her attention to Liam who flashed her a smile.

She smiled back " Hi, I'm Jenny, Carla's friend. May I know who you are? " Of course she knew who he was, she just wanted to hear him speak. She had managed to control her excitement on seeing him, the famous Liam Blake she had dreamt of meeting one day.

" I'm Liam, Liam Blake " He answered, giving her another one of his charming smiles.

Her eyes widened " Oh! It's real pleasure to meet you! " She pulled him into a brief embrace.

Carla shook her head at her drama, of course she recognized Liam from the moment she set her eyes on him. After all, they had talked about him before he arrived.

" The pleasure is all mine " He replied and turned his attention to Carla once more.

" Shall we go? " He asked, looking at her intently.

She nodded " Okay "

Turning to Jenny, she said something with her eyes that Liam couldn't decipher. The look disappeared and it was replaced with a smile.

" We'll be back soon, okay? "

Jenny nodded and winked " It's fine, just take your time and enjoy yourself, huh? "

Carla rolled her eyes but waved as Liam placed his hands on the small of her back and led het to his car.

The ride to his parents' mansion was short and they arrived there in minutes. Like the gentleman he was, he helped her down and she smiled at him gratefully. She looked up at the mansion and her mouth dropped opened in shock.

" Wow! " She managed to whisper as she took in the beauty of the massive building before her. Looking at the mansion, she felt she was at the gate of heaven.

" You sure are one hell of a rich dude " She muttered and he laughed heartily.

" You think so? " He asked playfully.

She threw him a sideway glance and didn't reply, instead she stared at the magnificent building which stood before her.

" You're my girlfriend, remember? " He asked in a light, teasing tone.

She nodded " Of course I remember, fake girlfriend " She ended her reply with a smirk.

Liam's eyes darkened as anger flashed through the black depths but it was gone in a second.

He copied her action and smirked too but it didn't quite reached his eyes " Yup "

" What would you say if Mom happen to ask you how we met? " He asked, frowning.

Carla let out a soft laugh " Don't worry about that, I have to be your girlfriend for the meantime, no? "

Liam nodded with his eyebrows furrowed, wondering what she was up to.

Carla's eyes gleamed with mischief " So you don't have to worry about anything concerning this, just play your part of a loving boyfriend and we'll be okay " She winked at Liam who smiled.

" That's a relief then, we just have to play along and make them believe we're truly in love " He mused.

" Yup " She answered

" Our act begins now " She stated and unhooked her arm in his.

Liam's eyes glittered with something like amusement as he humored her " Aye, my lady, besides I can see Mom's silhouette behind the curtains "

" No don't look! " He whispered harshly as Carla wanted to look.

" Let's just go in, okay? " His voice was warm this time and he leaned down to kiss her forehead.
