The Alpha’s Obsession with his Ex-Contract Luna

Chapter 124

Chapter 124

Alpha Gaius stared at his daughter, and she stared back at him. The matter at hand was too heavy for their mouths to speak of.

Abilene, especially, did not want her father to say it, but Alpha Gaius was equally desperate to get Alpha Ansaldo’s help.

Taking deep breaths, he realized he was still standing ever since he barged in, welcoming himself to the pack house.

Feeling his knees weaken, he suddenly offered himself a seat as he sank into the sofa

“Alpha Ansaldo, I will be honest with you. I don’t have much time to live, and Abilene is not capable of handling the pack alone. It was my desire that your marriage would merge both packs to be under your rulership with her

assistance.”

Those words sounded very familiar to Alpha Ansaldo, as Abilene mentioned it the moment he arrived at the pack house.

The only difference was Abilene had not added the part where her father was sick, but that was still not enough to convince him to delay Bree’s coronation. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“What about her mate?” Alpha Ansaldo asked. Alpha Gaius shook his head. This was another difficult situation for him, but Abilene was sending silent pleas to her father to not say it.

It was either her father had not seen the signs or decided to ignore them, most probably due to frustration.

“He’s worthless.”

Ansaldo nodded his head in understanding. Abilene must have been mated to someone of low birth and had come to force herself on him because he was an Alpha.

Well, not everybody was born an Alpha. It was bestowed on some people, and others were voted for it.

No matter the stage involved, the underlying fact remained that whoever was currently mated to Abilene was on the journey of becoming the Alpha of the pack if Alpha Gaius loses his life.

“Nobody is worthless. If you can tell me who he is, I might plead with my brother–in–law to help train him for you.” That’s Alpha Ansaldo did not want any entanglement with the East Red pack. People like them were better handled by someone like Alpha Nick.

“He is an Omega. What would we gain by making him an Alpha?” Disgust laced the tone of Alpha Gaius, and Alpha Ansaldo stared pitifully at him.

“If the moon goddess paired your daughter with an omega, then there must be a good reason behind it.”

“I already made her reject him,” Alpha Gaius unremorsefully declared. His confidence was soon returning due to how Alpha Ansaldo gave him so much attention and even sat beside him.

There was already a problem looming above the Red East pack due to what they had done.

Who knew what that Omega was and if he would even become a better Alpha than some of those born one.

Advice was the only thing Ansaldo had for him. If he takes it, fine, but if he doesn’t, there was nothing anyone could do about it.

“I don’t think it’s too late. If he has not yet found a second chance mate, let her plead with him to res il- rejection.”

Both the father and daughter were upset by the suggestion. Were they different from those with such great opportunities?

“Plead with an omega or go back to beg him, never.”

Abilene’s voice was so loud that Ansaldo felt ashamed for her. Did she not fear that the maids would hear about what she did and spread out rumors?

Her father was glad that his daughter refused the suggestion and revealed his other thoughts.

If she could just stay in this pack even for a few days, she would know how to win Alpha Ansaldo’s heart, so everything boiled down to Abilene’s stay at the pack.

Alpha Ansaldo was quick enough to wash his hands of everything. “Then you are on your own. I hope it won’t be too late by the time you come to your senses.”

Ansaldo was not even smiling, making Abilene wonder about how her carefully crafted intents would be put into play. –

“Okay, let me just stay here for a few days to think about it.”

Ansaldo could not refuse since she was an Alpha’s daughter but thought it wise to warn her seriously.

“Well, you must promise to not cause trouble, or I’ll make sure you don’t make it back to your pack alive.” Fear shone in Abilene’s eyes, but she was certain to execute her plans carefully to not

provoke suspicion. “I promise I won’t cause you any form of trouble,” she said seriously, though not meaning it..

In the Alpha Chamber, Bree was on the phone with her brother. “Nick, I said I’m fine. Everything is going well.”

It was the fiftieth time she had said it, but it seemed her brother did not believe it. He also could not expose her due to his promise to Sheridan.

“If you are certain about it, then I will end the call now. If you ever face any trouble, don’t forget to always call,” Alpha Nick finally said, earning a relief sigh from Bree.

“I won’t forget,” she said truthfully.

If things got out of hand, she would, of course, use her brother’s help if it was too much for her, though she planned to remain strong all through it.

Alpha Ansaldo later had a meeting with his beta as Bree focused on making herself comfortable with Aisha’s help. Most things in the room with their positions had all changed, but Ansaldo did not complain, happy that she was making the room like hers. It also meant she was adjusting well.

The next day, Bree had to wake up early for training, though exhausted from all the bedmatics in the night. Alpha Ansaldo could not just get enough of her and was determined to give her all the satisfaction she deserved. Alpha Ansaldo was going to introduce her to the pack, so she could not miss training. Downstairs, she met his beta, and her jaws dropped.

“Aiden?” Her voice shook from nervousness when Aiden lifted his head to meet her eyes.

“Bree,” Aiden said, and Alpha Ansaldo frowned deeply. Who gave him the right to address his Luna so casually? He quickly corrected his beta.

“It’s Luna Bree for you.”

Aiden merely nodded his head in understanding, asking. “how do you two know each other?” Bree’s expression changed instantly.
