The Alpha's Mate Is A Spy

Chapter 37: Our Room

Chapter 37: Our Room

While I just focused my gaze on the view beside me.

The drive to Stone City didn't even take more than 5 hours. And I assumed that it was due to Derek's

current mood. He didn't like Seff staying with us. Moreso, Seff didn't even bother how pissed Derek

looked and continued to annoy Derek throughout the whole ride. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

Finally, he stops the car.

Knowing that we already arrived at the location, Jojo happily opened the door for us. His enthusiasm

reached Liam as he shook him to wake up. Noah and Easton get off. When I finally stepped out of the

vehicle, I noticed that we were at the parking spot of a luxurious hotel in Stone City.

"Neat." Liam whistles in praise.

"Okay, get all your bags. We'll be staying at this hotel before the summit takes place. Make sure not to

leave anything behind." Derek says as he steps out of the car.

Complying with was he said, we all went behind the vehicle and took our bags. Surprisingly, Seff

snatched my bag in a hurry, and smiled.

I raised an eyebrow, "What are you doing? Give me my bag."

"I'll carry it for you."

"Don't be ridiculous and give it to me-" I tried reaching for it, but he tried to play like a pole, making me

unable to reach it as he held my bag above his head. Doing several attempts to grab it, my patience

got cut when it dawned to me that he wasn't planning to give it to me anytime soon. This psycho is

intentionally angering me!

"You're really cute." He chuckles, laughing at my state. "Let me carry it. I'm doing it for free anyway."

"I don't need your help, okay?" I replied, irritated.

I've had enough of playing. This time, I tried punching him in the gut, yet he still assumed it entertaining

as he dodged all my attacks. Lowering my back, I snatched my knife from my waist and threatened his

neck against it. He immediately froze on the spot.

He smirks, "You know... weapons aren't allowed inside the hotel, right?"

It only took a second before someone separated us. Derek forcefully grabs my bag away from his grip

and throws it into my hands. I didn't even know how he did that, but I was plenty thankful.

I hugged my bag tightly in my arms.

"Ah, we were just having fun." Seff pouts.

"I'll kill you," I growled, glaring at Seff as he laughed at my reaction.

"Stop fighting like kids, and Seff." Derek looks at him, "Don't you have someone you have to meet at

this hour?"

"Oh, that's right, I have to meet that old hag of ours." He grins, his eyes switching between all of us,

"Well, it's been fun staying with you, Crescent moon wolves. I hope we cross paths again."

"I hope not," I grumbled.

After he made his leave, we all sighed in relief. Finally, the psychopath was out of range. We followed

silently behind Derek as he led us to the hotel. The others seemed shocked at how glorious the place

was, yet because I've been in several areas, I'm not that even surprised.

While Derek checks in for us, Easton walks beside me. "What's going on between you and Alpha

Seff?"

As Noah, Liam and Jojo heard Easton, they all went around me and waited for an answer. I heaved out

a sigh, "Nothing,"

"Is he your ex?!" -Jojo.

"Mate?" - Noah.

"Fuck buddy?" Easton gasps.

Saying those words in union, I wasn't able to stop my hand from automatically slapping them at the

back of their heads. They cursed, feeling the strength at the palm of my hand.

"Ugh! Mercy!" Noah complains.

"Do all of you want to die? You've been training under me for months, and this is all your thick skull can

think of?"

"But Alpha Seff was acting so obvious," Jojo pouts, "Anyway, I don't like him for you beta Venus! You

should stay away from that crazy guy!"

You're all crazy, I thought.

"Who?" Derek cuts in. Finally! I can't talk with these men anymore. I might just accidentally shove a

knife in their mouths. With a confused look on Derek's face, we all just decided to drop the subject.

I walked to his front, "Are you done? Let's go to our rooms already. I'm exhausted and hungry."

He nods. Before we could reach the elevator, he proceeded to hand us our room keys. As we got on

the elevator, I peeked at their room numbers and noticed that we had different floors. Liam and Noah

were on floor 7, Easton and Jojo were on the 10th, and Derek and I were on floor 20. Each of us had

our own rooms, so we were more than excited to rest for the day.

Yet, I can't help but wonder. Floor 20? But isn't that a penthouse suite?

"What room did you get?" Jojo tried to peek at my room number, but I unconsciously avoided him. Why

am I hiding my room number?

I blinked, confused at my actions.

"Stingy," Jojo scoffs. "How about you, Easton? Oh! We're floormates!"

As they talked among themselves, my eyes patiently waited for the number on the elevator screen to

show their numbers. My stomach is already grumbling, compared to this pure werewolves, being a

hybrid. My resistance to hunger wasn't on par with them.

Before resting, I should eat first.

[-"Are you hungry?"-] Derek mindlinks me.

Startled, I glanced at him for a second before returning my gaze back at the screen.

I replied curtly, ["I'm not."]

[-"I can hear your stomach grumbling."-]

My eyes widened. What did he say? he could hear it?! I looked down to my stomach and stared at the

guys. If Derek could hear it, why can't the others? Is being an alpha makes his ear more sensitive?..

No, maybe he's just messing with me. I can't even hear my own stomach!

["No way. Stop messing with me,"]

[-"But i can hear it? Once you get to your room, dial four and order what you want. The menu is on the

drawer beside the bed."-]

As soon as we were the only ones left in the elevator, I let out a sigh. To think that he was being so

secretive when he boldly chose a room for two of us, was he always like this?

I stared at him, "You really are something."

He raises an eyebrow, confused at my statement.

"I mean.. you put us in the same room, and you're telling me to order on my own? Can't you be a bit

romantic and order for your lover?"

"What?" He chuckles.

The metal door finally opens, and I got off quickly. As I've correctly guessed, there was one room in

front of us. It was a penthouse suite, the best room that the hotel could offer. Going a bit further, I

stopped in my tracks when I saw another two doors at the end of the hall.

Wait.. what?

Derek, amused at making fun of me, continued to go ahead to his room. He used the key in his hand

and opened the right door.

My jaw drops.

He smirks, "Don't worry, my lover, I'll order you food if that's what you want. I can even feed you myself,

so please wait patiently at your OWN room for now. Okay?"

Leaving me dumbfounded, he eventually closed his door.
