Her body was perfect, a delicious snack just waiting to be devoured by me. I pulled her close and kissed her plump lips hungrily, savouring the delicious taste. She was so good, like a pro and our lips moved expertly against each other. The scent of her arousal was tantalising, making my blood rush. Pulling myself away, I unbuckled my belt and pulled down my trousers before lifting her on the table and taking her.

I had never thought of us having sex in the office but I realised it should have been one of my fantasies. She lay back down and moaned as I thrust in and out. By the time we were done, she was a quivering mess. I leaned down and kissed her before slumping onto the couch. She continued to lie on the table for a while before getting up and coming to join me. Within a few minutes, I was up and ready to have a go again.

Two hours later, we were getting into our clothes.

“My house,” I asked suggestively.

Maya smiled and shook her head. “I think we’ve had enough for today. I’ll go home now.”

“Seriously?” I said. “Get serious. Are turning down all this?” I pointed to my amazing, rock hard body.

She smiled further. “You have no idea how hard it is for me to reject that.”

I went towards her and pulled her close. “You have no idea how much it hurts me.”

She chuckled. “You’re exaggerating. I know you’re okay with it.”

“Seriously, I’m not. Why do you have to go to your place anyway, when you can have the best night of your life with me?”

“Because I have to get up in the morning and come for work,” she said. “Not all of us are CEOs who can decide whether to come for work or not. You can decide to stay away for weeks and nothing happen but if I stay away for a day, I’ll be fired. You were there when Harlow warned me, weren’t you?”

“I’m in charge so I don’t think anyone will fire you for no good reason.”

“By the way, you didn’t defend me at all that way. You just looked on and said nothing.”

I kissed her lips for a few seconds. “That was the last time for me to do something like that. From now on, I will be your protector.”

“Protector?” she laughed. “That’s such an ancient concept. What are you, a caveman?”

I chuckled. She was so close. I had no idea how she would react when she found out that I was what humans consider a monster. I was a werewolf and the human world painted us as flesh eating monsters. And yet humans are more monstrous than we are.

“You have no idea,” I said.

“I’m going now. Are you coming or not?”

“Let’s go,” I said.

Maya and I went into the elevator together. We kissed each other passionately until the elevator door opened. The security guard looked down when he saw us coming out of it. Maya straightened her cloth. It seemed she was not used to PDA. I escorted her to her car.

“Goodnight, baby.” I said. “Thank you for everything.”

“Goodnight to you,” she said. “See you.”

“See ya.”

I watched her car roll out of the driveway, feeling like stopping it. I was turned on again, even after all the lovemaking we had participated in. I smiled, lucky that I had finally found a woman I couldn’t get tired of. She was perfect and I couldn’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.

I walked on towards my car which was in my designated parking spot. I had already sent my chauffeur home earlier. I was about to unlock the car when I sensed a presence, a scent that was very familiar, a scent that made the hairs on my body stand straight.

Suddenly, a figure jumped out of the hedge near my car. She stood up straight and faced me. “I’m very angry,” she said. “How could you fvck that woman when I told you to leave her?”

“Because I could, and I love her. She’s amazing, sweet, perfect i. e. everything you’re not. What are you doing here?”

She chuckled. “You have decided to be defiant. You won’t take me seriously, right. I could do some very bad things but since I’m a good person, I decided to warn you first. Stay away from that woman or she’ll pay for your sins. After watching the two of you, don’t ask me how, I can tell that you’ve the hots for her. She’s not just any woman, is she? Why do I have a feeling that she’s your destined mate?”

“I don’t know,” I shrugged. I tried to act nonchalant but I was really worried. I could sense a great evil around the woman. Although I was an alpha, I knew that being a macho man didn’t always solve everything. “But I have no time for all this.”

Suddenly, she was right in front of me. She grabbed my neck. I tried to pry her fingers off but they wouldn’t budge. She was way too strong for me. I tried to activate my powers but for some reason, her touch had rendered me powerless. “I’m trying to be good to you but you’re determined to make me become bad.”

She let go of me. “What the hell is wrong with you?” I asked angrily.

“I came here to help you out,” she said. “I love you, Zane. I came from Misenium to warn you after hearing a lot of things. Something is going to happen soon, word has got around. Your father and the council members are planning to do something drastic and I don’t have to know what exactly it is to know that it will not be in your father. So, if you care about your position in the pack, you better go there right now. Or you may wake up pack less.”

“You just want to make me go there so that I won’t be able to see Maya but I don’t think I’ll give you that pleasure.”

She rolled her eyes, before grabbing the sides of my face. Suddenly, I was transported away to an unfamiliar house. I was chained up to the wall and there was a man near a steaming cauldron, moving a stick around it. The man turned with an evil grin. It was my father.

Suddenly, she let go off me.

“You just made that up,” I accused, although it had felt real.

“Go,” she said.

“I can’t leave Maya.”

“Fine, let’s go together. I actually want to help you.”

“What’s the catch?”

“Being with me.”

“Get in,” I said.

If things were about to go down, I needed someone strong on my side.
