Chapter 675
Chapter 675 Try On The Wedding Dress
"Eliana, what's the matter with you?"
Nicole walked over in a panic and quickly helped Eliana up from the sofa.
"Stop fussing over me. I'm fine! Cheryl pushed me off, and I lost my breath for a second." Eliana forced a smile to reassure her.
Nicole was getting married soon, and Eliana didn't want to make her worry.
"Are you sure?"
Eliana's face looked pale, and Nicole couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong.
"Calm down. I can tell if there's something wrong with Eliana," Nana answered. She helped Eliana maintain the lie. "Let's go pick out your wedding dress!" Nana said.
Nicole wanted to ask more questions, but Nana whisked Eliana away to pick up the wedding dress, so she had no choice but to give up.
In a low voice, Nana asked, "How are you feeling, Eliana? Can you hold on? If you don't feel good, you must tell me immediately."
Eliana nodded and said, "My heart was racing a second ago, but I feel fine now."
Nana let out a sigh of relief.
After that, the two began to sift through the wedding dresses.
Moments later, Eliana spotted a vintage white wedding dress.
The dress had a delicate off-the-shoulder design. Its upper part was constructed out of handmade lace, while the lower part was a dress made of white gauze. Round pearls adorned the seam where the two materials met.
The dress looked luxurious and elegant, with a shape that flattered a woman's body. The floor-length veil was made with lace, resembling a portrait of the Virgin Mary.
The dress looked familiar. It looked similar to the dress in her mother's wedding photo!
Eliana's eyes lit up at the thought. She couldn't help but pull the dress off the rack to get a closer look.
"Miss Pierce, you have a good eye."
The designer of the wedding dress suddenly approached them.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
Eliana recognized the designer immediately and exclaimed, "It's you! I remember you! You designed my mother's wedding dress, didn't you?"
The designer was momentarily stunned before she answered, "Miss Pierce, I didn't think you would remember me after so many years. I'm surprised you still recognized me. You look exactly like your mother did in her youth. Miss Pierce, you're just as beautiful and kind-hearted as her."
Eliana's eyes watered at her compliment. It had been so long since she'd seen the designer.
At that moment, she knew that was the wedding dress for her.
If Eliana wore a wedding dress made by someone who designed her mother's dress, then she would feel like her mother was there for her on her special day.
Eliana walked into the fitting room with the dress draped over her arm.
Nana followed her in and helped Eliana put the dress on.
Maurice called Eliana before she could put the dress on.
Nana was busy helping her get dressed while Eliana answered her phone.
As soon as she picked up the phone, she complained, "Maurice, why are you being so clingy lately? We just saw each other earlier today!"
"My fiancee is trying on her wedding dress. As her fiance, I'm curious to see what she looks like."
Maurice's deep voice was filled with joy.
"There's no need for you to come in person. I could take photos for you," Eliana offered shyly.
"Not a chance. I'm already on my way there. I booked the entire shop for you, so I need to make the experience worthwhile," Maurice teased.
Eliana was amused. "Fine, I'll let my fiance have a look. I have a good feeling about this dress."
Eliana couldn't stop smiling, even after she ended the call.
Nana continued helping Eliana change into the wedding dress.
Once Eliana pulled the curtain open, a pair of intense eyes met hers.
Maurice was here!
"How did you get here so soon?"
Eliana's eyes were wide with shock as she asked.
The white wedding dress wrapped elegantly around Eliana's slender but curvy body. The traditional cut of the dress didn't stifle her natural sensuality and charm but accentuated her body perfectly.
The translucent veil draped delicately over her hair and topped with an antique sapphire crown. The lace partly obscured her beautiful face. Against her pale skin, she looked like an ethereal beauty. Eliana looked like a goddess of the moon spoken of in legends.
Everyone in the room had their eyes on her.
Maurice couldn't hide the awe in his eyes. He looked at her with love in his eyes, as if she was the only person in the world.
It was quiet for a moment before Eliana lowered her head shyly and asked, "What do you think?"
Maurice stepped forward and cradled her in his arms before he answered, "You look beautiful."
