Chapter 21
"Sky," he said softly. I only smiled as I rested my head against his chest in a hug.
"So warm," I breathed. NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.
"I think you should lay down," Leo stuttered. I lifted my head to smile at him.
"I want to do something first," I pouted.
"What?" He asked. I pushed up on my tiptoes and inched my lips closer to his. They looked so soft and
inviting. I let my eyes close and sighed in content at the feeling of his lips on mine. They were just as
soft as my hazy brain imagined. When I pulled away, his face was stunned.
"I really think you should lay down now and get some sleep," he said softly. I sighed and went back to
standing with my head on his chest.
"You have to lay down too," I argued.
"Okay, we'll both lay down. Alright?" He said. I nodded. He held my shoulders before pulling the covers
back and laying me down. He pulled the covers over me before turning off the lights and getting in the
bed himself. As soon as I felt the bed dip, I latched to him. I wrapped myself around him like a snake.
Leo hesitated before putting an arm around me with a sigh.
"You really are something else, Sky," Leo breathed. I felt sleep coming quickly. He was so warm and
comforting, I didn't ever want to let go. I wasn't into the stomach dropping rollercoasters anyway. What I
liked was what made me feel warm inside. And right now, I felt warm.
The next morning, I woke up to a chest again. It took me a while to remember what happened last
night, but when the events finally came rushing back to me, I was mortified. I shot up quickly, covering
my mouth before glancing at Leo. Unfortunately, he was already awake. He sat up and watched me
carefully. After a moment, he crossed his arms and tilted his head at me.
"Do you remember what happened last night?" He asked. I hesitated before nodding. He sighed as his
head tilted the other way.
"My fault. It was my first time drinking. I guess I get a little too touchy," I apologized. I got up and ran to
the bathroom quickly to take a shower and brush my teeth. I accidentally left my wrap in the room, so I
didn't have a chance to put it on. I'd calmed down a lot during my shower. I went back to the room and
Leo silently make his way into the bathroom while I flipped through the tv channels for something to
busy myself. Leo finished up and came to my side of the bed. His hands grabbed my wrists before
spinning me until my back was against the bed. He hovered over me as he watched my reactions. I
knew my face was beet red as I tried to avoid his intense gaze.
"I told you you would do do something stupid. Luckily, I got you back to the room before anyone could
witness it," he said sternly. I nodded quickly.
"Last night was an accident. Sorry," I stuttered over my words. Leo's jaw tightened before he released a
breath.
"Don't do it again. And definitely don't drink around other people. In fact, don't drink at all," he snapped
at me. Even like this, my heart fluttered.
Did I like Leo? Yeah, I found Leo attractive, and sweet and attentive, but I didn't come to the school to
date, so I pushed all thoughts of romantic feelings aside whenever they came. Leo watched my face a
little longer before his head dipped down closer to mine. I couldn't help but to gasp as his face hovered
inches about mine.
"I'm being serious, Sky. You can't afford to slip up," he warned. I found myself nodding silently. I knew
he was trying to intimidate me into listening to him, but I felt anything but intimidated.
