Bella’s POV

The moment we entered Kai’s office and he locked the door, my knees buckled and I collapsed.

Five days and nights of constant worry, without food and sleep, literally love sick during my soulmate’s absence and the mounting stress of public embarrassment took a toil on my body as my vision spun and any sense of balance went void.

Kai was quick to react and quickly caught me in time before I went crashing down onto the floor face first.

“Shit ! What the fuck have you done to yourself in less than a week !!”, Kai exclaimed horrified when he finally saw me up close.

I clutched Kai’s collar hard and buried my sobbing face in his chest as I cried my soul out.

I might be a strong royal Lycan but I was an innocent, playful girl at heart, who had been trying to strive in all kinds of perils that life threw at me since a very long time.

That being said, I too yearned for dignity, respect and love, which had been sadly torn to shreds today.

“I – hate – them”, I cried out as my chest thumped heavily against his and I thrashed in his arms.

“I know, kitten. I know. I hate them a lot more. You have no idea how mad my Lycan was when he saw our baby in distress”, he cooed while rubbing my back in soothing circles.

“E-Everyone s-saw”, I whimpered, pointing out at my embarrassing exposure.

“No one is allowed to see what is MINE !”, he growled as pulled me even closer to him in his lap. “These babies are mine and only mine to see”, he possessively declared while squeezing one of those soft “babies” with his free hand in sync, making me smile weakly and then frown immediately.

“I hate you too !!”, I remembered and tried to get away from his hold, only for my weakened body to fail me.

Kai’s grip on me intensified and soon enough tears of hurt and sorrow were pooling in my eyes again.

I violently wriggled in his strong hold and tried to fight back for my freedom- away from him.

“Bella, please don- …. ”

“No !”, I lashed out and suddenly, a torrent of tears came streaming out of my eyes again, causing a shocking outburst of my eye glands.

My sobs and breaths came out in small, erratic gasps only, as I was livid by now.

“Bella, listen to me ple- …. “, he tried to explain but my hiccups were making it worse for me to breathe normally and I wanted to stay away from him for now.

I never felt so repulsed by someone as I felt with Kai right now.

It was ironic, how I craved for him day and night but when I was in his loving arms and tender embrace, I felt like running away from him.

It seemed like all my suppressed fury came bursting out when I used all my Lycan strength and punched him square in the face.

CRACK !

“Bella !!”, he woefully called out, wiping away the blood from my knuckles, instead of his face.

Perfect gentleman and asshole !

He hugged me tighter and closer to him and chocked out, “I am sorry, kitten”, he whispered, his face nuzzling on my shoulder. “I am so sorry, please forgive me”, he pleaded while peppering my bare shoulder with open mouthed kisses.

If I felt like I could not breathe before, then I felt like my own salty tears had choked out all the air supply available.

I- I hit him. I hit my lover.

I trembled under his hold as a new feeling of guilt washed over me, replacing all emotions related to anger and fury.

I- I h- hit huh h- him.

“Did – not – hic – mean – to”, I hiccuped while trying to breathe open mouthed. I did not mean to hit him. I was such a horrible mate. “You – will – surely – disown – hic – and – leave – me – hic – now”, I cried in my hands.

Kai pushed himself away from me, forced away my hands from my tear soaked face and quickly scanned my blood drained face before wiping it clean with his own handkerchief.

He was being so warm and caring to me while I, on the other hand, after so many days apart, had welcomed him like this- punch him in the face like a toxic bitch, especially after he had helped me out of a soul degrading situation.

I felt horrible.

Soft lips brushed against mine, sparks sparking everywhere that they touched and before I knew it, both parties were lost in deepening and reveling in the kiss that ensued- love synapses awakening everywhere.

My nerves relaxed, forgetting all the pressures of the world as Kai laid me down gently on his couch without disconnecting our entangled lips even once and straddled my torso as his hand crept under my wet shirt.

Kneading on my pillow soft globes, he replied, “I can never leave my Alpha, my princess and above all my mate. You are too precious to lose and I would be a fool to leave such a gem. I am really sorry, baby and if it makes you feel any better, then not a second went by when I did not curse myself for leaving you. I promise you on my life that I will never do that again”, he sincerely poured his heart out.

“You are lucky that I love you too much”, I mumbled while smacking his forehead, making him chuckle before I pulled him back to me by his collar and smashed our lips in a demonically frantic, wild, burning kiss.

“I know. It is hard not to”, the cocky bastard replied against my lips, making me smile and smack his chest.

“Asshole”, I murmured and the laughing, gorgeous man leaned back to remove his shirt in a hot, fluid motion.

Frantically rubbing our cores together as he went completely feral on my lips, his actions speaking in volumes about being passionately grateful for my forgiveness as his touches turned fierce and succulent.

His lips did not idle away as his hands grabbed my ass in powerful handfuls and core violently chased friction against mine.

“Ah ! Kai !!”, I moaned while arching my back when he traced his hungry mouth southwards towards my neck and sucked on it hungrily.

He would give me a hickey at this rate !!

I had classes after this !

Oh good lord, no !!

“Kai, what the heck ! Noooo”, I exclaimed when his hot breath feathered on the spot right above my collar ! “Everyone will see it and know !”, I tried to reason with him.

However, the possessive beast over me simply smirked as he pulled back and marvelled at his creation before replying, “So what”, he shrugged. “What is wrong with that ? It is for the world to see that you are MINE !!”, he cheekily replied.

“It will cost you your job, you sweet talking nitwit”, I scoffed but the romantic fan girl in me was squealing so hard at his touching words.

“No job is more important than cheering up my girl and loving her”, he declared and if I felt that my heart had melt before, then this time it had become completely putty by his mere words.

“Dammit ! You had to say just the right words, when I thought that I couldn’t love you more than I already did”, I cussed before our clothes were clawed out of our bodies with a desperation that only a wildly thirsty man in the middle of a desert knew about.

Soon, the boring ochre brown, wooden paneled walls became spectators to a geyser explosive steamy session where we unlearned and learned back each other’s bodies.

Bella’s POV

“Hello ?”, Dominic answered his phone when there were hardly ten minutes left for the lunch break to get over.

“We need you”, I shyly whimpered as Kai kept me snuggled close to his bare chest.

“We ?”, Dominic questioned in bewilderment after giving Ryan a few parting instructions.

“Hmm”, I hummed and felt my cheeks heat up at what I wanted to ask him to do.

“Baby, you need to tell me more than that and where the hell are you ? I can’t see you in the cafeteria, although everyone seems to be looking, scratch that, staring at me weirdly”, Dominic’s astonished voice floated in.

“Umm I am with Kai in his room and we kind of tore each other’s clothes. So could you please help us out ? My clothes were coffee drowned with 11 cups of it, in any case”, I replied.

“11 cups ?”, Dominic hollered. “What the hell ?! Why were you carrying 11 cups and tell the pup with you that he is in deep trouble. Deep, deep, deep trouble”, he growled. “And we were supposed to be angry at him together !! Why did you forgive him already ?”, he whined making me roll my eyes and Kai chuckle beside me.

“He saved my humiliated ass from a bullying crowd in the cafeteria. I could not stay mad at him for long, although I did punch him good in the face”, I answered.

“You two have got a lot of splaining to do but before that where do I get you your clothes from ?”, he asked.

“Get my gym clothes from my locker. The password is xxxx and get yours for Kai, although he looks so yummy naked. You might wanna leave him just like that”, I stage whispered the last part making Dominic laugh and Kai growl, who did not waste a second after that to start tickling me.

“Ah ! Aa- A- Alright, al- right, right”, I breathed out somehow amidst hysterical fits of laughter, with tears in my eyes. “White flag please”, I panted out, making Kai stop and back off, although he was still straddling me.

“Alright kids, I will be there in another 2 minutes. Stay put”, Dominic said before he cut the call.

“Gosh, you are beautiful”, Kai said as he looked at my body under him with admiring eyes, completely scanning me from head to bottom.

I shivered under his laser focused gaze and felt hotly exposed under him, for the first time.

His gaze turned into something that I could not decipher but my smile faded away when my lips thinned back, slightly parted, breaths getting quicker and heavier, as the mood in the room suddenly became serious.

My heart started to hammer thunderously against my rib cage when Kai did not avert away his hooded eyes off me for a good 30 seconds.

Even my voice box seemed to have cracked and gone mute as not even a whimper or a mewl escaped my lips.

“I want to mark you so bad”, he finally spoke his thoughts out loud while glancing down to my neck’s sweet spot and massaging my chest. He looked back in my eyes and continued, ” …. but I can’t till we both know for sure.”

An involuntary sound of dismay escaped out of my dry mouth.

Why was I upset, you ask ?

I was willing to be marked as much as the man over me, if not more.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know the boys had started to influence me and I let myself get corrupted.

I tried to reply back but words seemed to have failed me as Kai looked like a predator ready to devour its prey right now.

However, we both were shaken off from our Love – Lust Land when suddenly someone tried to open the door.

Oh shit.

My heart almost skipped a beat !

“Mr Grayson ?”

Fear coursed through my body while Kai’s eyes knitted into an irritated frown when we recognized the voice and scent of the person outside.

Shit.

What if we were caught !! And we did not even have decent clothes to cover ourselves. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

Knock. Knock.

“Mr Grayson ?”

Kai’s jaw clenched as he looked at the door, behind which an unwanted presence was hell bent on shouting the hallway down while chanting the name of the jay naked professor over me, like a broken record.

Knock. Knock.

“Mr Grayson ? Are you alright ? Is the door not opening ? Could you please answer me if you are ok”, the voice shouted in the most fake and sugary sweet voice possible. “I will otherwise ask security to kick open your door”, the irritating, clingy intruder of our peace shouted.

Four middle fingers shot up in the air towards the door subsequently, making us both chuckle softly.

Fuck off !! Our fingers screamed back voicelessly.

“SECURITY ! HELP !!”
