Dominic’s POV

“Domz !”, Bella hugged me sobbing the moment I stepped in our dorm after a coven meeting in one of my restaurants with the higher ups and warriors regarding the security plan of protecting my mates and the whole city, in general, now that my fucking father was aggressively pushing his agenda to find me.

“My baby”, I cooed as I hugged her back after she jumped in my arms, hugging my neck as if her life depended on it and wrapped her legs around my torso in a vise like grip.

“I miss him already and I feel so uneasy for him, Domz. I just want to go out to him wherever the fuck he is hiding, drag him back here by his ears and beat the crap out of him for pulling off this stupid thing”, she cried while clinging to me tighter.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

My heart bled out on seeing the unusually strong royal Lycan princess in distress like this and for the first time in my life, I felt completely helpless, coz I was breaking down from within too.

I was ecstatic to come back home to Bella but with Kai missing in the picture, especially with my father and his ruthless soldiers after the three of us, the joy of being near Bella was overshadowed by disappointment and fear of losing my other baby.

He was just a 17 year old Lycan pup afterall.

“I know. I feel the same. God, how much I wish I had marked him and then tracked down that willy wolf from anywhere”, I choked out as I felt my eyes start to burn with tears too.

“What do we do then ?”, she sobbed, her face turning extremely red with worry.

“We respect his space. For four fucking days and nights”, I replied.

Tuesday

Dominic’s POV

“An entire city blew up, Dominic ! Are you even hearing me ?”, Ryan asked gobsmacked as he cornered me in a lonely spot by the university’s sport complex and waved his smartphone near my face, which showed in big headlines that just a few hours back, a set of twenty deadly explosives blew up in XXX city.

“So what ? It is like thousands of miles away from here. I see no problem with that, except that almost 5xxx people died, which is really unfortunate”, I remarked while I hugged Bella close to me and pressed a kiss on the top of her head.

I had been doing that a lot lately.

It seemed like the most effective mechanism to calm myself down whenever I felt the sorrow pangs of not having Kai near me.

God knows what he was doing right now and what state he was in.

“Have you fucking lost it, Your Majesty”, Ryan drawled out in his sarcasm dripping voice.

“What the fuck are you trying to say ? Get directly to the point”, I irately snapped back, causing Bella to instantly rub my arm and try to calm me down.

“Look at the city, asshole !! It is the city which is under the direct rule of the Dark Lord’s Head Witch ! And look at the fucking numbers, Dominic. They are the exact number of rogue wolves, including the Head Witch. No civilian body was found by our spies, Domz”, Ryan listed out all the observations and tilted his head, expecting me to get the hint.

Even the royal Lycan princess looked up to watch my face which was contorted into that of confusion and then anger.

“You still didn’t get it, you dumb fuck, did you ?”, Ryan hissed.

“Ofcourse I understood the basic conclusion to this scenario, asshole”, I scoffed.

“Then why are you not happy ?”, Ryan pointed out. “We have a potential ally out there who has loads of awesome crap to blow out a major chunk of the Dark Lord’s army !!”, he exclaimed. “We should track him down before the Dark Lord gets a hold of him”, he suggested.

“Coz I fear that I know this so called “potential ally” of ours and if my fears are true, then I am so gonna screw that ally out of him”, I fumed.

“I don’t understand”, Ryan frowned while Bella immediately slacked in my hold, clearly understanding my implication.

I had to grip her sides hard before she fell down in shock.

“Just give him space”, I commanded before carrying Bella away from me.

However, she stopped mid step and turned towards Ryan.

“Ryan, could you please provide me all details about the KG Group for me. Bring all the information that you have about its ultimate owner and major shareholder. Don’t get me the face of the company, CEO, etc. I want the man himself”, Bella pointedly said and Ryan nodded his head in agreement before rushing towards the Law department.

He couldn’t afford to get late for class.

Wednesday

Bella’s POV

“ANOTHER SPECTACULAR CITY BLEW UP IN A MATTER OF LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER CITY XXX MET WITH A SIMILAR FATE. AUTHORITIES ARE UNABLE TO MAKE OUT HOW ONLY A HANDFUL OF EXPLOSIVES COULD CAUSE DESTRUCTION OF SUCH A SCALE. THE TOP NOTCH FBI TEAM IS TRYING TO TRACK THE CULPRIT BUT NO LEADS HAVE COME IN LIGHT SO FAR. MAYBE IF THEY- …. ”

“Switch off the news, Ryan”, Dominic sighed before nestling his face in my neck and calming himself down with my scent.

He was starting to get highly stressed and I had started to worry when he had lost his appetite, sleep and weight in just a matter of two days.

“You have a class after this lunch break ?”, Ryan asked after pocketing back his iPad.

“Yes”, I answered for Dominic, who was clearly trying to hold himself together.

The lone wolf out there killing thousands of stationed evil rogues, was doing a damn great job and I could not even imagine how was he carrying out these missions so successfully at such a large scale.

“Any survivors ?”, I asked and Ryan shook his head in negation.

“No. Many higher ups of the Dark Lord were killed. The humans think that a city blew up but an entire dimension of the supernatural world was exploded and the rogues’ corpses fell in that city”, Ryan informed. “Even the Dark Lord’s right hand man died. I am sure the Dark Lord would have a lot many worries now, with his Beta and Head Witch dead”, he added.

“Any info on the KG Group ?”, I asked Ryan.

“No. I don’t understand why would you need information on the owner but from what I gathered, the company works more in the black market side and might even top the list globally for its trillion dollar fortune. The owner is however, a mysterious man and really knows his game, especially in hiding his identity”, Ryan informed.

“What do you mean by black market ? What products does it sell ?”, Dominic asked, his interest perking up for the first time since we sneaked out of the uni’s boundaries to talk.

“Wolfsbane, dr*gs, weapons, explosives, ammunition, secret communication equipment, malicious hacking software, fake passport ids etc”, Ryan answered. “And believe me, the products are highly authentic and supreme in quality. Half the number of people working in this organization do not even know what they are making. Each part is made in different locations but assembled by a very small core group of specialists at one centre which no one knows where it exists. It is a pretty clever strategy”, he elucidated his findings.

“Woah ! That’s quite a lot of stuff that you found out within a day”, Dominic exclaimed in surprise.

“Actually Bella told me some very specific places and people to ask”, Ryan informed, making Dominic chuckle and peck my ear.

“I don’t know what you are up to but good work”, he praised and my cheeks burned to a deep shade of red as I blushed like crazy.

“Thank you”, I shyly said. “Keep looking then, Ryan and I believe the location of the core group might be the entire unit of Kai Grayson’s condo. Look into it. He might be a professor with a business major degree but no one can beat the modern Sherlock Holmes- Bella Diaz”, I sassed while flipping my hair dramatically side by side.

The boys laughed but then Dominic tensed.

“KG Group stands for Kai Grayson ?”, he asked in shock.

“I am still not sure. It started with a hunch when I saw Ms Pierce accidentally swipe away a few papers from the coffee table when we caught her and Kai in an intimate position. The papers were supposed to be hidden between the students’ answer scripts that Kai had got to check. I just caught on the seal of the company, before Kai quickly put away everything in his safe”, I answered.

“Plus the initials KG can not be a coincidence, can it be ?”, Ryan asked unsure. “If he is the one behind the attacks, then I am sure that such sophisticated stuff must have been prepared by him long ago. It is not a spur of a moment thing, Dominic. If he struck a silly deal like giving you two the choice to stay behind if you did not get late to his class, then it means that he must have a team or partner in crime to pull off these stunts, in his absence, though it makes sense that he must be personally supervising everything”, he deduced.

“So many questions keep popping up. Who are you Kai Grayson and what are you doing right now ?”, Dominic spoke through clenched teeth while pulling his hair by the roots.

“I just hope he is safe”, I prayed. “I will die if something happens to him. I love him too much now. It is beyond repair”, I worriedly added.

“I know, baby. I know. Me too”, Dominic said and pulled me close to him before leading us to our next class.
