Bella’s POV

We ended up sleeping and cuddling with each other till dusk and were so energetic after an invigorating sleep that we were soon chasing after each other at insanely supernatural speeds around the palace.

“Dominic Kent !! I am going to drag you to a corner of a wall by your twisted ears and give you a time out for a complete hour if you don’t stop making a ruckus everywhere”, a stern, mature female voice boomed, making Dominic effectively stop in his tracks and look back at a beautiful lady who must be in her late 30s or early 40s.

His eyes shone in happiness and that’s when he decided to act like a stuck up, bratty kid.

“Mom !”, he whined like a kid and Kai and I were so busy staring at the duo, especially Dominic’s “Mom” that we ended up bumping at each other and falling on the floor together- Kai on top of me, what the hell !!

Kai bit my lower lip harshly and quickly, before anyone could notice us and smirked when I glared at him before getting up and helping me out. Naughty Lycan. Nghh.

“Oh my God ! You got your mates with you !! Is he the same prof, you had a crush on since forever and the young lady who swayed your heart in class on the very first day ?”, Dominic’s foster mother squealed making Dominic do something that he rarely did- blush profusely.

“Mom !”, he hissed. “They didn’t know we were mates yet. You ruined their surprise !!”, he pouted and his Mom rolled her eyes at him.

“We figured that out. It is ok, Domz”, I chuckled and went ahead to hug his Mom, who was surprised at first but then as happy as an innocent child getting his prized candy.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

“Mom”, I whispered and her eyes misted before she kissed my forehead and did the same with Kai.

“Welcome to our coven. I am Ryan’s mother. Ryan is this naughty kid’s Beta. I practically raised these two boys on my own in this castle, apart from the tribesmen taking up the boys’ training responsibilities”, she introduced herself.

“I am Bella Diaz, the Princess of the Royal Lycan Pack and this is Kai Grayson, my Beta Lycan, about which I did not know before discovering each other’s identities recently”, I introduced ourselves too.

“You are too young and beautiful to be a mother of such grown up boys, Mom. Are you sure you are not a fallen, young angel”, Kai politely said before kissing her hand, making Ryan’s Mom beam radiantly.

“Now, aren’t you a sweet talker and such a good kid”, she chuckled while taking us all in a hug. “I am so glad Dominic found two gems like you two in this cruel, cruel world. I can’t thank the Moon Goddess enough”, she said as tears of happiness made their way out of her eyes.

“Oh Mom ! Stop crying. You will ruin your make up”, Dominic teased as he wiped her tears, making the elder lady chuckle and smack her adopted son’s head.

“Brat”, she laughed before leading us to the kitchen.

“Did you make my favourite cookies, Mom ?”, Dominic’s voice suddenly became high pitched as a delicious aroma of baked goods wafted through the air and I could practically see his eyes turn into two bouncing red hearts.

Dominic’s mom chuckled and nodded, and that’s all it took for Dominic to throw up his hands like an excited kid and trot out to the kitchen faster than us.

“I should have kept him on a leash before telling him”, Mom sighed and shook her head. “I hope he leaves enough for you two, although I made eight large trays of them”, she chuckled.

“I heard that, Mom !!”, the Vampire King said in a muffled voice. Guess he had already stuffed his mouth to its maximum capacity.

“Should have put on a collar that said, #1 Rabid, hungry dog too, Mom”, Kai smirked as we entered the humungous kitchen and then into the walk-in fridge where Dominic was already wolfing down a tub of ice cream along with Mom’s heavenly cookies as he sat cross legged on the floor.

Dominic chuckled and pulled down Kai to him before giving him a punishing kiss mixed with ice cream and cookie crumbs, leaving Kai breathless.

“Jerk !”, Kai huffed and hit Dominic’s chest when the latter finally stopped harassing the former. “Not in front of your mother !!”, he angrily squeaked out”, making Dominic do a repeat.

I rolled my eyes at his childishness but chuckled along with his mom nonetheless.

“Dominic”, his mother figure glared at him. “Do you want to sleep in the guest room without your mates ?”, she asked teasingly, making Dominic pout and hug Kai and me closer to him.

“No Mom !”, he cried out, making me heartily laugh and settle between his legs.

“Then behave yourself, Dominic. We don’t want our Vampire King to be ousted out of his own bedroom on his very first night with his mates here”, his Mom admonished him in mock anger. I loved her already ! She was so fun to be with. Now that I noticed, no one seemed to live in this huge castle. We were yet to meet the members living here. “Alright kids, you three enjoy here. I will ask the staff to clean up after you whenever you are done. Dinner will be ready in an hour or so, ok ?”, she informed and we nodded our heads in silent agreement, too busy munching on her delicious cookies.

“Oh these are heavenly, Mom !”, Kai moaned out loud before she turned back to exit the place.

“These are the best ever goodies I have ever had”, I concurred as I closed my eyes and let the delicious explosion of the flavors of cinnamon and honey work their magic in my mouth.

“Mhmm true”, Dominic said before stealing a protruding cookie from my mouth.

“What the hell, Dominic !”, I shouted as I threw a choco chip at the cookie thief’s forehead.

“Oww ! That hurt”, Dominic frowned my way as he rubbed the flicked spot. “Here take this !”, he exclaimed and quickly snagged the collar of my top before emptying a tray of ice inside my tee !!

“DOMINIC !!”, I shrieked as I frantically tried to get rid of the crazy cold ice cubes which did weird shit to my body presently.

“I am glad you loved the cookies, dears but try not to have a food fight here. Last time Dominic and Ryan had one, they were on their knees the entire night scrubbing the floors, and since Bella and Kai are our guests, they shall be exempted from the punishment. So you, Dominic Kent, better be on your best behaviour”, she warned, but failed from holding back her laughter when she saw my state, making me laugh and cry at the same time too.

“Ok Mom”, Dominic chuckled as he pulled me back to his lap and hugged me, engulfing me completely in his embrace and warmth. “I will take care of these two very well”, he added and I could not help but wonder if he was talking about the same thing as his Mom or not.
