“Dear wife, don’t overwork yourself.” Emerald looked up, smiling after she heard her husband, and found him leaning on her office door frame as always.

“I’m not,” she replied, waiting for Jace to come closer and receive his kiss.

“It’s past 6, isn’t that overworking?”

“Overtime but not overworking. And just to let you know, which I know you knew already, once something comes to mind, you won’t be able to stop yourself from working.”

“Yeah, I get that.” Jace smiled as he caressed his wife’s smooth face. He felt happy that things turned out to be good for her, and he was hoping that they would be able to find Ember as well.

“Dad told me that my grandfather will be coming soon, and he’s still in disbelief that he has a granddaughter and a great-grandson, but he’s just very excited to meet us.”

“Of course he is. But please know that my parents and Jack are also excited to meet you. So, if you have time, why don’t you give them the honor of visiting them?”

“Oh my!” Young Morgan exclaimed. “I’m so sorry that I forgot about them.”

“No harm done. I explained to them that you, I mean, we are busy, and they understand.”

“Thank God,” she said in relief. “We could go and visit them with Ace this weekend.”

“Weekend it is,” Jace agreed. After a few more checks and ensuring the safety of her files, Emerald turned off her computer and went home, knowing her son was waiting for her and Jace, as always.

At home, the family had dinner happily. They spent time playing in Ace’s room before they decided to tuck him into his bed to sleep. “Thanks, Mom and Dad. I am very happy that our family is complete.”

“We are very happy too, son. And please forgive me if it takes too long. It’s all my fault.”

“No, Dad. There’s nothing to forgive. Everything happens perfectly.” Emerald watched her husband and son talking as she wiped her eyes, which began to water.

“Nevertheless, it’s every father’s responsibility to make sure that their family is complete, safe, and well taken care of.”

“I will make sure to become like you, Dad.” The boy replied,

“Like me?” Jace asked curiously.

“Yes, like you. A responsible father and husband to me and Mom.” Ace answered, making young Higginson hug him. He was so happy that his son had forgotten about what he did to him and his mother and, at the same time, forgave him. He promises himself not to let him and Emerald down again.

It’s the weekend, and Ace was excited to meet his grandparents. Because of some matters his parents had to attend to, he understands they can’t bring him to the Higginson mansion at will. He also understands why he needs to have bodyguards whenever he goes to school and do everything his parents tell him to do to ensure his safety. For him, following everything they said was his way of helping them with whatever problems they were facing, and at the same time, he didn’t want to be a burden to them.

Although he is just a kid and would want to play all the time, Ace is very understanding and smart. Which Emerald and Jace were thankful for. “Oh dear boy,” Jessica said when she saw little Ace running, who went to them as soon as he got out of the car.

“Granny!!” the boy shouted and hugged his grandma. Nick was just watching them before looking at Jace and Emerald, who were walking towards them hand in hand.

“You finally bring your wife with you,” The Higginson patriarch said,

“Hi, Mr. Higginson.” Emerald greeted me.

“You know you should call him Dad as well, right?” Jessica said, smiling.

“And I’ll call you Mom,” Emerald replied with a sweet smile.

“It’s a Good thing that you know.” The women laughed as Jack and his wife Eunice approached them with their daughter.

“Hello, sister-in-law.” Jack greeted before giving Emerald a peck on the cheek, and so did his wife.

Emerald felt welcomed and was happy that Jace brought her to his family. The meeting, which had been more than five years overdue, was very joyous for everyone, especially Jace. He was filled with happiness that he couldn’t contain in his heart, and it showed on his face and actions.

Mr. and Mrs. Higginson were very happy seeing how their sons lived now. After the incident with Jack and then Jace throwing Emerald out of his life, they started losing hope that they would be able to find the happiness they deserved. But watching them now, looking so happy and content with their own family, the old Higginson couple felt relieved.

Jace’s family decided to sleep in the mansion and occupy Jace’s room when he was still living with them. On the other hand, Ace stays in a different room with his nanny. “Don’t forget, you need to give me a lot of siblings, Dad.” The boy reminded his father before he went to his bedroom, making his parents laugh with the other couples there.

“Alright, you can go to your rooms now and give us more grandchildren,” Jessica said, pushing their sons and wives to their bedrooms.

“So, this is your room?” Emerald asked,

“Our room, dear wife. Whenever we’re here, it’s ours.” Jace held her hand, led her to the bed, and kissed her. “Hmm, your lips are really sweet,” he said after their long, breathtaking kiss.

“I gotta clean up first.” Jace let go of Emerald and showed her to the bathroom.

“Everything you need will be here, and if there’s more, just tell me.”

“Thank you,” Emerald replied, smiling. She was about to close the door, but her husband stopped her. “What?” she asked, confused.

“Do you think you will need anything else in there?” Young Higginson asked, looking around the bathroom, which made Emerald do the same.

“I don’t think so; everything’s in here already, just as you said.”

“Hmm, I don’t think so,” Jace replied, grinning, making Emerald crease her forehead. Before she could react, young Higginson gently pushed her inside the bathroom, carry her and putting her down in the lavatory.

“Jace!” she exclaimed before he started kissing her, and she kissed him back.

“Let’s take a bath together, dear wife,” young Higginson said. Emerald smiled and nodded.

“Yes, let’s give them more grandchildren, and my grandfather’s great-grandchildren.” Emerald’s reply made Jace smile wickedly. He likes how submissive his wife is to him when it comes to making love. The two began to undress themselves and pleasure each other in the bathroom and under the shower.
