Suddenly There Are Three (Bailey and Artemis)

Chapter 859 Catherine Is Coming For Me

Damien couldn't help but snicker.

Who? Is it that hard to guess? Whoever wants them to fight is the one who's helping them.

“Bailey is still alive. With that woman's skills, do you think she can't find our hiding place? She still

hasn't made a move to kill us after such a long time. This can only mean one thing—she doesn't want

us to die. That's because she wants to see us put on a dog-eat-dog show with that old geezer, Philip, in

Moranta.”

Hearing that, Sofie slammed her fist hard on the table.

“What should we do now? Are we really going to become pawns in that woman's game?”

She was averse to being used by Bailey, for every round of confrontation with the latter only ended in a

crushing defeat for her.

Hence, she could never accept becoming that woman's pawn.

Damien looked at her coldly and said placidly, “What else can you do? Run for your life? Do you think

you can escape from Bailey? Or do you think you can survive Philip's pursuit? Since death is inevitable

either way, might as well head to Moranta and have a good fight with Philip. If we win, we'll gain the

power to rival Bailey. If we lose, we'll drag Philip down with us.” Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.

After giving it some thought, Sofie found his argument reasonable and nodded, saying, “In that case,

we don't need to worry about those assassins behind us anymore. Since Bailey wants us to reach

Moranta safely, she will definitely send someone to clear all obstacles for us. For now, we are safe.”

“That's right. Let's pack up and set off immediately.”

“Okay.”

In Dellmoor, Chanaea, a private jet landed at a suburban private airport.

When Bailey and Artemis stepped out of the cabin, they saw a person standing on the flat ground

below.

Artemis couldn't help scoffing coldly before releasing Bailey's hand.

Just as Bailey thought Artemis had changed to become chivalrous and elegant, the latter circled her

waist and pulled her into his embrace.

Fine. Looks like I've overestimated him. This man is rotten to the core, and any hope of him changing is

simply wishful thinking.

The man suddenly leaned in and planted two kisses on her cheek while she was in a daze.

Bailey glared at him fiercely, gritting her teeth. “Artemis, I'm going to give you hell if you don't behave

yourself.”

“Fine. Worse comes to worst, I'll allow you to punish me when we get home. But right now, you have to

play along.”

Defeated, Bailey allowed him to do as he wished.

From a distance, she saw Raiden turn his face away, shifting his gaze elsewhere.

Artemis snorted. “Good thing he knows his place. If he dares to stare again, I'll pin you against the wall

and kiss you.”

Bailey stomped hard on his foot, causing him to recoil in pain and withdraw his arm. With that, she

walked away without looking back, heading toward the stairs.

This man is unbelievable. It's not every day you see someone so shameless.

After approaching Raiden, she raised an eyebrow and said, “You seem to have lost weight. What's

wrong? Are you too stressed?”

Raiden glanced at her and spoke, implicitly criticizing her, “A certain someone who is ignorant was out

there acting recklessly. I was so worried about her that I couldn't eat or sleep well. How can I not lose

weight?”

Bailey opened her mouth and wanted to explain, but before she could, Artemis appeared and beat her

to it. “Looks like Mr. Fletcher has found the love of his life. We're going to have a wedding to attend

soon, it seems. What should we do, Bay? We didn't have time to prepare a generous gift when we

came over. How about we make up for it another day?”

Bailey rolled her eyes.

This despicable man and his wicked tongue.

“No one asked you to speak,” she said, shoving him behind her and ignoring his antics.

“What's the current situation with your old man?”

Raiden swept his gaze over Artemis, wearing a hostile expression as a dangerous look danced in his

hawk-like eyes.

Artemis shifted to the side and shamelessly rested his head on his wife's shoulder.

Bailey slapped him on the forehead. “Stand properly.”

“I got airsick, and my head hurts. I can't stand without leaning against something.”

Raiden's face was gloomy, but he took a deep breath and ignored that jerk before explaining, “Mrs.

Gibson has invited a perfumer, planning to use the art of perfumery to awaken my father.”

Perfumer?

Bailey arched her eyebrow.

There are only a handful of internationally-renowned perfumers. The one they invited might even be my

old acquaintance.

“Who is it?”

“Catherine Rogers, the legitimate daughter of the top perfumery family, the Rogers family.”

Bailey widened her eyes in surprise.

Mrs. Gibson actually managed to invite Catherine over? That woman has always lived a secluded life,

rarely venturing out into the world. The Queen of Ustrana once wished to invite her out of seclusion to

blend a nerve-calming incense for her. Despite the queen sparing no expense, she was still unable to

persuade Catherine. Ustrana's royal family was so close to having a feud with the Rogers family

because of this matter. In the end, it was the head of the Rogers family who personally stepped in. He

prepared generous gifts to apologize to the queen and even promised to provide the royal family with

special spices for ten years, free of charge. This finally resolved the conflict. It's hard to believe that this

woman, who turned down even the queen, would be willing to come to Chanaea to help Mr. Fletcher.

“Did you tell her that I was the one who cast the dream-tailoring skill on Mr. Fletcher?”

Raiden hummed lightly. “I did, but she still came. Could it be that her art of perfumery can really

counteract your dream-tailoring skill?”

Bailey narrowed her eyes, wearing a solemn look on her face.

“What's wrong? Is there something amiss?” Raiden hurriedly asked.

Bailey said grimly, “She can deal with ordinary dream-tailoring skills, but she won't be able to remove

mine. Even though she's well aware that she can't undo it, she still agreed to come. This can only

mean one thing—she has another agenda.”

Raiden grew anxious as well. He asked in a deep voice, “Is she planning to harm my father?”

“No.” Bailey shook her head with certainty, “She has no reason to kill your father. I guess she's after

me.”

Having said that, she walked toward the outside of the airport.

Raiden hastily followed suit. “Where are you going?”

“To your place.”

In the infirmary in the Fletcher residence, Catherine reached out to touch the tip of Sloan's nose, subtly

transferring the fragrance on her fingertips into his body.

“Sorry. I can't undo this dream-tailoring skill. You'd better seek help from someone more capable.”

Lindsay turned pale and exclaimed anxiously, “But Catherine, you are the world's top perfumer. If even

you can't solve this, then who can?”

Catherine looked at her sideways and said softly, “Bailey can.”

She's stating the obvious. Bailey was the one who cast the dream-tailoring skill, so of course she can

solve it.

A flash of anger crossed Lindsay's face as she gritted out, “Are you messing with me? If you can't solve

it, why did you come? You're wasting my time!”

Catherine inclined her head and strolled toward the door. “Then I shall take my leave and avoid wasting

any more of your time.”

Tamara turned to look at Lindsay, snapping, “Do you wish to spend a few years in prison?”

Just as Lindsay was about to speak, Bailey strode into the room.

Tamara tried to stop her but was shoved aside.

Bailey walked straight to the bed and snapped her fingers beside Sloan's ear.

Surprisingly, the old man remained motionless.

Looks like Catherine really did tamper with my dream-tailoring skill.
