Suddenly There Are Three (Bailey and Artemis)

Chapter 1014

Chapter 1014 Hundred Killer Poison

Artemis remained silent, leading her toward the outside.

After leaving the infirmary, he slowly let go of her hand.

Bailey sensed that the situation had become somewhat delicate. She took a step forward, once again holding his hand, and smiled, saying, “I'm

intrigued to find out what could challenge our esteemed Tarragon leader.”

Artemis glanced at her sideways and sighed. “I originally planned to take you back to Hallsbay before dealing with the emerging underground

forces in the Zaewora, but now, some unforeseen circumstances have arisen, and I'm afraid I'll have to bring you along for the journey because

I'll need your assistance.”

Bailey cracked a smile.

Instead of asking why he needed her, she enveloped her arms around his waist, nestled into his embrace, and gazed up at him with a radiant

smile. “I'm more than willing,” she affirmed. “Wherever you lead, I'll follow.”

“Aren't you going to ask about the current situation in Zaewora? Are you not going to ask me what I need you for?”

Shaking her head, Bailey playfully quipped, “I like you, and I'm delighted to be by your side. If, for some reason, you ever decided to sell me,

I'd gladly assist you in counting the money you'd earn from it.”

Artemis could not help but burst into laughter, gently pinching her nose as he casually explained the situation in Zaewora to her.

“Disguise master?” Bailey did not take in anything else except that particular point.

Artemis had anticipated that she would focus her attention on this.

It was clear that Faceless had had quite a significant impact on her.

Artemis hummed in response. “You wanted to track Faceless down, right? Heading to Zaewora should yield some results.”

Bailey furrowed her brows, fell silent for a moment, then tentatively suggested, “Could we perhaps return to Hallsbay first? Stay at home for a

few days before heading to Zaewora?”

They had just quelled the rebellion at Tarragon, reorganized the Hoffman family, and crippled the Rogers family. It had already been a month

or two since they had been home.

They would be away from home for another extended period if they were to travel to Zaewora again.

Ever since the outbreak of rumors about Artemis' death, the Luther family had been urging them to return, and she promised Felicity that they

would return home soon.

Artemis pondered for a moment before nodding. “Yeah, sure. Let's head back to Hallsbay first. We can go to Zaewora in a couple of days.”

Bailey hummed in acknowledgment.

Meanwhile, Cameron received the goshawk delivered by his bodyguard. Although he was uncertain about the creature's capabilities, its

appearance indicated that it had undergone special training.

Perhaps he really could find her through the strands of hair left to him by Blaze.

There was nothing left for him to do in Gregan. After a refreshing nap, he decided to set off from Yannopolis to find Blaze.

The journey would be long and arduous, but his heart was filled with love. No matter where she was, he was determined to win her back.

Before leaving, he went to the dungeon to see Kurt.

After Blaze left that night, Kurt was actually tortured to the point of being unrecognizable.

After Bailey brought him to the manor, she administered an antidote to keep him alive, neutralizing the poison in his body.

Even though he was hanging on by a thread, after days of torment, he had become so thin that he was nothing but skin and bones.

Kurt stood in the center of the secret room, looking down at him from a superior position. All the anger and hatred dissipated upon seeing his

inhuman and ghostly appearance. It's not worth my energy to get angry at this lunatic.

“Never thought we'd see each other again.” A hoarse, dry voice rang out as Kurt tried to sit up.

Yet, with every movement, the flesh on his limbs and body, corroded by the poison, sent searing pain through his bones, forcing him to

collapse once more.

Cameron glared at him, his fists clenching and unclenching repeatedly. “Fifteen years ago, just like now, you were being hunted down by your Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

own family. I saved your brother, following my father's orders. Fifteen years later, you brothers still couldn't rid yourselves of the evil roots in

your hearts, and in the end, you all met a tragic fate. You truly got what you deserved.”

Kurt lay on the ground, gazing up at him like a helpless ant, a shadow of gloom forming between his brows.

He could not help but concur with Cameron's words. Fifteen years ago, he had been pitifully sprawled at Cameron's feet, and now, fifteen

years later, he found himself in the same pitiful position, akin to a homeless dog begging for mercy with a wagging tail. But so what? I've

obtained what Cameron has desired but could never get in his lifetime. That's enough to make that b*stard live in regret.

Kurt let out a cold laugh. “Do you think my end is tragic? I don't see it that way. I've managed to enjoy the company of an indescribably

wonderful woman. I can die without regrets.”

Cameron's face darkened, and a sinister intent to kill flashed in his eyes.

Kurt noticed the change in his emotions and continued to sneer, “Her body is covered with my marks—even inside her body. If you never see

her again, that would be for the best. If you wish to marry her, you'll have to constantly endure the fact that she has been defiled by me. I don't

think you're aware of this, but I gave her an injection to speed up conception. There might already be a child of mine growing in her belly.

Cameron, if she decides to keep the child, you'll have to swallow your pride and help me raise my son. I'm curious to see if the distinguished

Mr. Yablon would stoop so low as to play the role of a substitute dad.”

Cameron abruptly closed his eyes, and the veins on his forehead bulged prominently as his chest heaved violently.

What infuriated him was not the loss of Blaze's virginity but the way the scoundrel had treated her so poorly.

“I initially wanted to grant you a swift end, but it seems you're quite the tough one. You don't appear to need my mercy. In that case, allow me

to present you with another generous gift.” After Cameron finished speaking, he pulled out a bottle from his pocket, poured out the poison pill

inside, and waved it in front of Kurt.

Kurt responded with an icy smirk. “So it's just poison, huh? Sure, I'll consume as much as you have. I'll let you call me a coward if I even let

out a grunt.”

Cameron pried open his mouth, pushing the poison pill from her hand into it. Then, with a swift jerk of his chin, he forced the pill down into

his belly.

Upon ingesting the toxin, Kurt immediately sensed something was amiss.

He had been tormented for days by the toxin left in his body by Blaze, and he had long since become numb to the pain, but now, with the

poison coursing through his belly, he felt a pain as sharp as a knife's cut.

That kind of pain, indescribable, felt like being sliced by a thousand blades.

“What on earth is that?” Kurt asked.

With a cold laugh, Cameron rose to his feet and walked toward the outside. As he moved, his thin lips curled into a smirk, uttering three

words, “Hundred Killer Poison.”

The Hundred Killer Poison was the most powerful poison in the Encyclopedia of Poison, and it was different from the Soul Reaper.

The effects of Soul Reaper were gradual, tormenting one's mind and will bit by bit. It left the poisoned individual living in constant fear,

feeling helpless and lost.

The Hundred Killer Poison, on the other hand, was a potent and fierce toxin. It consisted of over a hundred types of toxins from the

Encyclopedia of Poisons. Once it entered the body, it could cause such excruciating pain that one would prefer death over enduring it.

When Cameron stepped out of the secret chamber, he could hear bursts of manic laughter from inside. “Awesome, truly freaking awesome! So

this is what it feels like to have your heart ripped out and your bones gnawed on. What an eye-opener. I've not lived my life in vain.”

In the end, his words were tinged with a deep tremor, clearly indicating a pain that cut to the bone.

Cameron slowly unclenched his tightly held fist, and the murderous glare in his eyes gradually dissipated.

The Hundred Killer Poison could stimulate a person's pain receptors, subjecting them to constant, extreme agony. Moreover, each wave of

pain would be stronger than the last, eventually exceeding the human body's tolerance and leading to sudden death.
