Suddenly There Are Three (Bailey and Artemis)

Chapter 1011

Chapter 1011

Chapter 1011 Too Sweet

While in the lab concocting poison with Cameron, Bailey subconsciously checked her phone after receiving a special notification.

After seeing what was inside, she couldn't help but laugh.

Cameron was somewhat curious, so he leaned over to take a look, then snorted coldly. “It's just a statement. Is it really worth getting this

excited over? He didn't cheat. Are you that happy about it?”

Bailey glared at him. “As I recall, you were the one constantly blaming him, even instigating me to kick him. Now, you're the least qualified

to speak.”

Cameron laughed menacingly. “Go ahead, keep pampering him. The day he gets too cocky and dares to cross the line, you'll see.”

Bailey hummed twice, ignoring him. She casually retweeted Artemis' Twitter post and added a comment on it: I am so grateful for having him

as my husband. I beg all you media moguls to show some humanity and leave us, a married couple, alone. Please stop making fun of us. Our

three children are all grown up now, you know. If you really insist on showing your affection, my wedding with Mr. Luther is approaching.

Feel free to present us with a generous gift to celebrate.

Netizens initially thought that Artemis was on his last legs, planning to suppress the news online before going to apologize to Bailey, hoping

to earn her forgiveness.

But now, Bailey had reposted on Twitter, even generously sharing a handful of lovey-dovey moments. The onlookers suddenly felt that they

had lost interest in the juicy gossip.

The most pitiful of all must be the media outlets that reported on this scandal, left with no choice but to clean up and wait for Artemis to come

knocking for retribution.

Two days ago, everyone was celebrating together, but two days later, it was time for mourning for everyone.

Bailey looked at the hundreds of comments skyrocketing every second and couldn't help but laugh in disbelief.

The comment section was filled with cries of dismay. It seemed there were still many people out there who didn't want her to marry Artemis.

What good would it do even if they didn't want her to?

The more they envied and resented her, the happier she became. She was more than willing to step on their pointing fingers, their scornful

insults, and their envious gazes, claiming Artemis for herself, never letting go for a lifetime. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

Seeing her bask in joy, Cameron couldn't help but rain on her parade. “Everything is uncertain before marriage. Don't celebrate too soon. Who

knows, one day a woman of higher status might steal him away.”

Bailey burst into laughter. She really didn't feel like dealing with this jerk anymore.

“Cameron, if you utter another word, I won't give you the goshawk. You can go ahead and turn the world upside down all by yourself, and

take your sweet time finding your wife.”

After she finished speaking, she tossed the utensil in her hand and turned to walk outside.

“I'm tired, so I'm going to sleep. I'll leave this to you. Once you've prepared the poison and the antidote, I'll give you the goshawk.”

Cameron glared at her retreating figure, wanting to emulate her nonchalance and indifference. But when he thought of the goshawk in her

hand that could track Blaze, he managed to suppress his impulse.

This d*mn woman, why hasn't her habit of bullying people changed at all? It's great that Artemis is finally marrying her. Let him deal with all

the trouble.

When Bailey returned from the infirmary, she found the living room in a state of complete disarray.

Just a couple of days ago, the children were hostile toward their father, saying mean things to him. The young ones who had the audacity to

disrespect their own father, were now fawning over him. They gathered around him, some massaging his legs, others feeding him fruits, all

trying to curry his favor.

She was somewhat reluctant to admit that they were her own children.

Susan was the first to spot her mother standing at the door. She flashed a grin and said, “Mommy, we've all misunderstood Daddy. You

misunderstood him too. Come in quickly and apologize to Daddy.”

After she finished speaking, she quickly picked up a piece of fruit with a toothpick and handed it to her father.

Rubbing her forehead, Bailey squinted against the harsh light. She felt that being in the lab with Cameron, studying poisons, was far

preferable to being here.

With the thought in mind, she turned around and walked away.

She barely took two steps before her back gave out on her.

Next, a wave of dizziness hit her, and she fell into a broad, sturdy chest.

Turning around, a handsome face entered her sight. Meanwhile, the couch not too far away was completely empty. The few little rascals had

long since disappeared.

“How about it? Did my Twitter post help you blow off some steam?”

Hearing these words, Bailey laughed heartily. “The world outside is filled with people calling you heartless. Why would I be angry? And why

would I need you to vent my anger?”

Artemis raised his eyebrows and said, “They've been hoping that I would kick you out. When we had a falling out a few days ago, I'm sure

many people were overjoyed. Now that we've made such a statement, flaunting our love so boldly, it's enough to drive them mad with

jealousy. If this isn't a way to vent your anger, then what is?”

Bailey suddenly burst into laughter. “Well, you're right about that.”

She wrapped her arm around his neck, laughing lightly. “I just love your will to offend the whole world for my sake. You once told me that I

must have done a lot of good deeds in my past life to have met you in this one and to have enjoyed a love that no other woman in this world

has ever experienced.”

Because it was Artemis, everyone felt that his affection and love were incredibly precious. They were all racking their brains, hoping to catch

his eye.

Yet, he was like a rare flower atop a high peak, cool and aloof, with a cold and proud solitude, standing alone in this world.

With her, the world came alive in his eyes.

Otherwise, he would still be high above, looking down on all beings. How could she see the side of him that was crazy and infatuated with

her?

Artemis reached out and gently pinched her chin, his expression a mix of amusement and seriousness. “Have you been eating candy or

drinking honey? Your words are too sweet. They're tempting me to steal a kiss.”

After he finished speaking, he lowered his head and kissed her.

Bailey slumped in his arms, murmuring softly, “Aren't we still having fun? Carry me to the room.”

She didn't have to do anything. A simple sentence from her was enough to make him lose his soul and heart and be led by the nose. He was

unable to resist her charm.

“Okay.”

After a passionate night, the next day, Bailey woke up at the crack of dawn. Despite feeling unwell, she managed to get herself ready. She told

Artemis to sleep for another hour before getting up for breakfast, and then she left the bedroom.

Artemis lay sideways, watching her leave. A gentle smile lingered on his thin lips.

After lying down for a while, he slowly let the smile fade from his face. He reached for his phone and dialed Rebecca's number.

“What's the matter?”

The slightly weary voice of Rebecca came through the microphone, “Chief Luther...”

Artemis didn't really want to hear this title. It reminded him of the numerous troubles he had with the Saviors during his tenure.

If Bailey found out about it, there was no escaping a good scolding.

That was just the tip of the iceberg. If that woman were to order him not to enter the bedroom for a month, he would go mad.

“Please refrain from using that title in the future. I've stepped down from my position. You can call me Mr. Luther.”

Rebecca didn't choose either option. “Then I'll call you teacher. If anyone asks, I'll just say that I've learned from you a few times. Once a

teacher, always a teacher.”

Artemis knew he couldn't outstubborn her. Getting called a teacher was more acceptable than getting called a commander, so he didn't waste

any more words on it. “Let's get down to business,” he said.

“All right, it's about that underground force in Zaewora I mentioned to you last time. In just a few days, there have been new developments.”

Artemis furrowed his brows. The last time he helped Archie extract a death row inmate from the international police, they had asked him to

eliminate an underground force in Zaewora.

He had not even started yet, and already there was another problem.

“What new developments?”
