Chapter 41 The Lover Went, But the Foe Came

Chapter 41 The Lover Went, But the Foe Came

All she did was taking away her man. But how about Lousia? She killed her father and framed her for

two years in prison. Now she was in a dilemma and couldn’t even live in the C City.

Lousia gritted her teeth and didn’t say anything. Then Emily said, “If you lose a close relative and go to

jail for two years, you would just be like me. You would also make a living with your craziness, and you

wouldn’t think about meanness or men anymore.”

“That’s my dad, too. I also felt sad when he died.”

“Lousia, shut up. You have no right to say that.”

Lousia suddenly growled on the phone, “Emily, you can’t find anything, because my mother did not kill

my father.”

Emily hated Dorothy so much, and she wouldn’t believe Lousia’s words. What’s more, no one, except

her could get close to her father.

After hanging up the phone, she turned to face up to Sebastian’s cold eyes. He just stared at her and

didn’t move at all.

Previously, she only heard that women would make men tired in bed. She thought that it must be an

unusual woman with an ordinary man. However, when an ordinary woman met an unusual man, the

situation and the result were completely the opposite.

Just like him and her at the moment, she was exhausted, but he was full of energy. It seemed that he

could have sex at any time.

“Give me the phone.”

Neither of them said anything in half a minute, until he asked her for the phone.

Emily gave it to her him wanted to go to the bathroom. After Sebastian read the message, he said, “I

need to go to the S City for half a month. As for our marriage, wait for me to come back.” NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

She agreed.

After Sebastian went to the S City, Emily felt so free. She just needed to check some documents in the

company at daytimes, and receive a few customers. After work, she had enough time and private

space to rest.

She did not expect Dorothy could let her work. Maybe it was because of the public opinions.

Then she was transferred to the branch office to manage the real estate, which was Dorothy’s last

strategy, in order to alienate her from the people in the headquarters, just in case.

The woman was stirring up dissension in the middle. That group of old men were all unsatisfied. No

one supported her. It had been good that they didn’t maltreat her.

It was really strange today. Dylan, who had always been regarded highly, came to meet her.

Emily didn’t like him, so she let Evelyn find some people to stop him downstairs. But he was still the

director from the headquarter. No one dared to drive him away, so they just persuaded him to leave.

“Miss Morris, Mr. Fox wants to meet you. They can’t stop him.”

Evelyn said, “Why don’t you go and have a look?”

Emily got up and smoothed the collar of her little suit. Just as she was about to go downstairs, Dylan

ran upstairs with two kraft paper bags in his hand. Seeing her, he put them on the office desk.

“Miss Morris, it is really difficult to see you.”

She frowned and laughed, “Mr. Fox, what do you take here? Do you want to bribe me?”

She didn’t want to get mixed up with him. Besides, this person was Dorothy’s lackey. Dorothy ordered

him to ruin her business several times. She couldn’t forget that.

But Dylan didn’t stop, he even said with a sense of threatening, “Miss Morris, I come here today to ask

for your help. You and Mr. Clark are in a good relationship. He taught me a lesson last time in the club

to give vent to your anger…”

Emily really hated beating about the bush. He just wanted her to take the initiative to ask.

“You want me to plead with Sebastian for you?”

Sebastian had been suppressing him, and almost forced him to give up his shares. She knew this in

her heart very well, but she didn’t say it out.

“Miss Morris...” He called her full of meaning, “Miss Morris, it’s not good for you or Morris Properties

when Mr. Clark suppresses me. Or you, as the eldest daughter of the Morris family, would like

someone to make Morris Properties go bankrupt?”

“Mr. Fox, don’t go too far. What do you mean by saying that?” Emily couldn’t hold her anger and just

said to him directly, “Sebastian doesn’t suppress Morris Properties, but you. If you want to make a

comeback, you can go to beg him directly. Why do you come here? Whom do you think I am to him?”

Dylan was born with a pair of single eyelids and a sneaky look, which made him look very treacherous.

He half narrowed his eyes and said in a very low voice, “Emily, you’re quite capable. I heard you

hooked up with the second son of the Miller family in the K City. Are you trying to change your sugar

daddy?

So?

If she didn’t help him, he would go to Sebastian and expose her?

What a pity! He came here a little too late.

Emily felt offended by him, but still wore a smile, “Mr. Fox, I must tell you that you must not threaten me

with such a small trick. I’m not afraid of you. You can go to tell him at any time.”

“It’s best to raise a colossal uproar. Let’s see what Sebastian will do to you.”

She didn’t say the last sentence. If it was about her, maybe she would scold the man hard, but it was

about Sebastian and Oskar, so she had to think twice.

Dylan had nothing more to threaten her. He was so angry that the corners of his mouth even twitched.

But he still tried to calm down and wanted to scare her, “Miss Morris, I heard that Mr. Clark went to the

S City, so you live alone now, right?”

Emily thought of what had happened in the D Restaurant. She really wanted to trample him to death.

After hearing his words, she said, “Do you want to make trouble? Are you sure you can afford the

consequences?”

In his eye, she was the woman of Sebastian, so she might as well make use of that man to scare him.

Dylan said, “I just want to show my concern, because Mr. Clark isn’t here.”

“You don’t have to,” Emily turned around and said to Evelyn, “Evelyn, see Mr. Fox off.”

Evelyn pulled the door and persuaded him to leave. Dylan took that two paper bags and strode straight

out.

After work, Emily had dinner with Maisie at the Morris mansion. Maisie was really happy and talking

and joking with her.

She originally thought she would see Lousia, but she wasn’t at home, neither was Dorothy. There were

only two servants in the mansion.

After the dinner, Maisie suddenly got excited and asked her, “Emily, you have reached the proper age

for marriage. Some grandsons of my friends are at a similar age as you. You can have a date with

them. If you don’t like…”

“Grandma, let’s not talk about that. How are you these days? Do these servants serve you good?”

Emily was holding a fruit knife to peel an apple for her, almost expressionless.
