Chapter 344 I Don’t See Any Need To Continue
Henry paused at the sound, so Nova did. Spinning around she looked at the comer. “How did you know that? Or who told you that?” Henry’s sharp gaze turned to the manager as well when Nova asked, which was so penetrating that the shop manager was overwhelmed by it. They proved to be more than just a pair of picky customers.
Acting calmly and deliberately the shop manager opened her mouth.
“Our company has learned about the cooperation between the Bush and King Groups recently and we are also looking for a suitable business partner. According to our investigation, there will be a joint business trip held by the two groups in a few days to come, and I have seen your photos on the Internet before, not to mention that your temperament is too remarkable to ignore, that’s why I’m here to meet you.”
Henry and Nova didn’t turn a hair at her words, but the clerk behind them paled instantly. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
So they are really somebody! How could she say those high–sounding phrases in front of them?
Kristy now started to worry about losing her job since the look that the shop manager had cast on her was extremely horrific.
At this moment, worries drove her to pray for herself.
She made an attempt to say something better to remedy this, but she failed…
Nova had a look at Henry, trying to gauge his mood, but he never spoke. Nova could only be the spokeswoman. “So what do you mean by these words?” “Nothing big deal, I just wish a talk with you in my office, would you mind?” After a few seconds of contemplation, Nova decided to give the shop
another chance to prove itself given its long tradition of fine design. After all, maybe there are some reasons for its lack of eye–catching designs.
“What do you think?” She turned her head at Henry.
Ultimately, Henry was the one who had the last word.
Henry didn’t answer Nova. Thinking for a moment, stroking his well–defined jaw he turned to the manager. “Show us the way.”
“Come with me please.” The manager heaved a sign of relief at Henry’s reply.
Soon they got to the office.
“Would you like some tea or coffee?”
“No, thanks, just cut the crap.” Nova was looking at her, expression completely unreadable. “I’d like to know why the design of your company degenerates to such an extent?”
The manager seemed to be prepared for her question. She tried not to sigh. “Indeed, our recent designs of wedding dresses are not as good as expected, but today we’ve got many new dresses. Here are the designs, you may have a look.”
“Well.” Nova nodded slightly.
The manager opened the folder of the designs on the desktop for them.
Nova and Henry stepped closer in no time. Nova sat right before the computer while Henry naturally took the seat beside her.
Nova looked through the picture of designs one by one intently.
As she scanned the picture, the clicking sound of the mouse filled the room. A line appeared between Nova’s eyebrows. And the more she
saw, the more evident the line was.
Her patience had run out. “Did your company terminate the contract with the designers before?” Her eyebrows lifted when she asked. The question took the manager by surprise and it took seconds for her to force a smile, rather awkward though. “T–t–they…” She stammered.
Henry made a stand from his seat and was going to leave, giving her any time to explain. “Then I don’t see any need to continue.”
