I walked steadily towards him as I grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back forcing him to kneel

forwards as I hit him on the nape with the other free one. I did not only want to beat him to a pulp, I

wanted to humiliate him just as he did to the poor Alicia.

He forcefully slipped away from my grip pushing me away with his back. He was so angry; it felt as if he

was keen to hurt me as much as I wanted to hurt him. He threw a punch that I dodged and

counterattacked with an elbow to his jawline. My move was vicious and deadly, he had no choice but to

cover his face backing away.

I caused him to trip and kept stomping on his body repeatedly, he was cowering in pain and the

madness inside me did not subside. I did not notice that the window behind me was broken as Shawn

stepped in and pulled me away from the damaged boy. I tried to push him away but he forced me into a

hug.

After a few seconds, I gave in and inhaled his scent soothing my angry self. The fucker tried to get up

but Shawn knocked him out with a kick to the face, in addition, he took off his coat and covered Alicia's

body carrying her to the college's clinic.

" We have to hurry up," I said as we were running towards the clinic.

We reached the clinic and the doctor asked us to step behind the curtains so he can clearly check up

on her. After a few minutes, the doctor informed us that thankfully, it was a small scratch near the

Shawn stared my way probably waiting for an explanation of what I did.

" I am sorry, I didn't want anyone to see her naked body." I started.

" I saw it anyway, you shouldn't have acted this dangerously... What if he outpowered you, it would

have been very bad." He retorted.

" I am sorry, I didn't think reasonably."

" I was very worried about you," Shawn confessed.

A blush was trying to find its way out on my cheeks; I passed by him so he would not notice it but he

stood in front of me blocking my way.

" You won't reply to what I said?"

" I appreciate that thanks," I murmured looking at the floor.

" If you are really thankful then show it," he whispered in my ears closing the distance between us

dangerously.

We are in the clinic and Alicia might wake up anytime, what is he thinking? I flinched when his breath

hit my ears closing my eyes abruptly.

" What are you imagining?" He intoxicatingly asked with his deep sexy voice that belonged to a man in

his thirties, his voice suited his character and body shape though making him stand out even more.

" Nothing... I just... What do you mean? ... I mean, what do you want?" I stuttered looking like a tomato

that is being heated for lunch.

Shawn caressed my cheeks as he admired my facial features while obviously enjoying my reaction.

" What is happening here?" Alicia asked as she slid the curtain to the right exposing both of us.

" You are awake? We have to go to the hospital." I said ignoring her question.

" Nah, you are not getting out of this. C'mon girl, tell me what is it that I just heard. Are you two dating?"

" No, it's not what you think." I clarified. Alicia stared at me doubting my response.

" She is bad at lying, isn't she?" Shawn stated boldly. I glared his way but he wasn't fazed in the least,

he placed his hands on both my shoulders from behind looking at Alicia from above my head as he was

a head taller than me.

" What do you think, aren't we the perfect match?"

" He is lying" I corrected brushing his hands away.

" I won't be jealous of my number two friend, Lily. Just confess to your deeds." Alicia teased me.

" I am being honest here, and who is your number one friend?" I asked feeling a little bit jealous that I

took second place.

The door burst open as Penny came into the room trying to take his breath.

" Here he is... my number one friend," Alicia smiled as she patted on Penny's shoulders assuring him

that she is okay now.

" We need to go to the hospital though, also we have a lot to ask you about." I strictly commented.

Shawn offered to drive us in his car; we skipped the rest of the classes, as it was our first priority to get

her treated by a specialist. In the car, I told Penny about what happened exactly.

" I am sorry, I didn't notice that your boyfriend was abusive. I always thought that he is the caring type,

never have I ever imagined something like that to happen." Penny literally cried, he was the sensitive

type and seeing his friend in this state broke his heart.

" It is not your fault, Penny... I am the stupid one for still loving him after all he did to me. Even now I

can't help but thinking about his reaction worrying that he might break up with me." Alicia murmured.

She was embarrassed by this thought of hers. We did not reply to this, as we all could not find the right

words to say. Rich or poor, human beings are all the same... Money can not save a person from having

those feelings or going through such an issue. We might be able to buy things that bring happiness into

our lives but never will we ever be able to buy happiness itself.

We soon reached the hospital and we waited for her outside, she did not want to spend the night here

nor tell her family about what happened and we decided to respect her decision even though she

needed her family the most.

Alicia was another victim of one's emotions, it fascinates me how people can seriously hurt themselves

by themselves. That day was the day I officially counted Penny and Alicia as my friends. I swore to

protect them as long as I can... I hope that we stay friends forever.
