"GOOD morning, pretty momma," Cindy greeted with glee soon as she entered the café the next day. "How's your sleep, momma?" she added. Zoe let out a soft chuckle and gestured a quiet sign. "Your voice is too loud. What if Mr. Reynolds will hear—" "Oh, come on, popcorn. Let him hear it. Anyway, highway, when will you tell to your mom? It's been days," Cindy asked as she tied her hair in a bun. Zoe sighed and put the last fill of the straw. "Tonight," she replied. Cindy's eyes widened, and she even clapped her hands. "Perfect. Do you want it over dinner or after dinner?" "Just after I go to bed," Zoe answered, making Cindy frown and roll her eyes. "Geez, you're so cheap. It calls a celebration, and I'm sure Aunt Iris will be glad to have a grandchild." Zoe shook her head. "I don't know. I am not sure." Cindy waved her hand and smiled. "Come on. Aunt Iris is just like Aunt Millie. They're both kind and awesome oldies," she said, making Zoe smile and feel sudden ease in her heart. Zoe nodded. "I hope." Cindy rolled her eyes again. "Don't you worry, mommy? I'm always here for you," she said, and after that, they started to work and served the customers. It was past ten when Cindy came to a halt when she saw the man who had just entered the entrance of the café. It's no other than… Calyx. Cindy saw how a smirk drawn into Calyx's lips as he walked towards the counter. She then looked at Zoe and said, "take his orders, and I'm just going to check Mr. Reynolds," she said. And she was about to turn around when Zoe pulled her and didn't let go of her. Zoe smiled at Calyx and greeted the man. Calyx then nodded at Zoe and told him his orders. "What brings you here, Cal?" Zoe asked as she tapped the monitor while her left was holding Cindy.

When Cindy met Calyx's gaze, she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms in front of her chest. Seeing this, Zoe shook her head. "You hear his order, right, Cindy? I will just use the bathroom," Zoe said, and after that, she let go of Cindy and left. Cindy took a deep breath and sighed as she prepared Calyx's orders. "What's wrong with you?" Calyx asked as he moved closer to Cindy. Cindy arched her brow. "Move away, jerk," she said. Calyx let out a soft chuckle. "After what we've done—" "Don't remind me about it. I was drunk," she cut off the hum of Calyx's words. The man smiled and nodded. "All right. You're drunk. But don't tell me that it has an extension until morning, right?" Cindy glared at him. "I am still drunk during the nighttime," she replied. "Doesn't want to admit the truth, are we? Don't worry, babe, we can do it again. With it, you might remember—" "Never again," Chloe interrupted as she put the frappuccino cup in front of Calyx. "Get your coffee and leave," Cindy said, Calyx stared into her eyes and scoffed. "Is that the way you treat your customer?" "Nope. Just for a living parasite," she uttered. Calyx doesn't like Cindy's words. "Parasite, huh? Fine, I will never leave the café, not unless you apologize," he said and was about to turn around when Cindy pulled the sleeve of his suit. "Are you for real?" she asked in a low voice. She gritted her teeth as she pierced her eyes into him. Calyx arched his brow. "Do I look like I'm joking? And who are you calling a parasite? Me?" he chuckled, "you're digging your own grave, woman," he added. Cindy knew that Calyx takes jokes seriously, and it was really her fault. When Calyx turned around, she cursed under her breath. "What am I going to do?" she whispered. When Zoe came back, she saw Cindy, who seemed bothered. She then poked Cindy's shoulder. "What's wrong?" she asked. Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Cindy glared at her. "Now, you're asking me? After you ruin my mood… together with that monkey!" Zoe let out a soft chuckle and raised her hands. "Chill, girl. I know you can manage that," she said and winked at her. Cindy's cheeks burned in anger, and when her eyes met Calyx's, she gritted her teeth and raised her fist.
